Story
Very sweet cat but not used to being around children. We had her before we have a baby. She does not hurt our son but he pulls on her tail and she reacts back by pawing at him. I am afraid one of them is going to end up hurt. I am trying to avoid that from happening. She also doesn't get the attention she used to get before having a baby which is sad. She needs someone that is able to give her more attention and someone that doesn't have a child.

Story
Joshua and his sisters, Joanna and Judith came to rescue having been found under a tree during a thunderstorm. Joshua was almost unresponsive and needed immediate medical care. While in rescue, this poor little guy has struggled with maintaining his weight and staying hydrated. Early in life, he was diagnosed with seizure disorder, but happily he is being weaned from his anti-seizure medication and showing signs of outgrowing his condition. Joshua is a quirky lil guy. When overstimulated or stressed, he becomes overwhelmed. He has kitty OCD, which makes him highly focused on daily routines and habits. You can learn more about his special story on our Kitty Korner Blog! But given all of that, Joshua is simply the sweetest lil guy and everyone absolutely adores him, especially those who share his psychological and emotional challenges. Because inside, they know he is just trying to understand this big, confusing world. Joshua is a long-haired tuxedo (almost an identical twin to his sister Judith). He is going to be a real heart breaker when he gets older.

Story
Lemuel, was rescued with his siblings after being orphaned when their mom was struck by a car. They were taken into recue and lovingly hand raised. Lemuel, is the class clown of his litter. He is goofy and awkward and always looking for attention. Complete with a bowl haircut, big feet and a goofy personality - Lemuel is just about as lovable as you can imagine. He even likes dogs!!! Lemuel definitely would like to be in a forever home with LOTS of energy, ideally with a family member who is a dog or cat, as he definitely needs companionship.

Story
Ethel is an orphan, turned into the kill shelter during kitten season. She is a beautiful black tabby marked with stunning marbling. She is well-behaved, polite and even a little bit shy. Ethel would love to be adopted into a family with another cat, as she loves playing with all the kitties in her foster home.

Story
Elizabeth was brought into rescue through a concerned community member who was feeding her, her mamma cat and her siblings. After a few weeks, the mamma cat and little kittens stopped visiting, but little Elizabeth continued to visit for food. It was getting very cold at night and Elizabeths family was nowhere to be seen. It was decided she needed a more appropriate place to live and be cared for, so she was placed in rescue. Elizabeth was the smallest kitty in her new foster home, and she was initially a bit intimidated and unsure of this new life. She quickly latched onto another kitty about her same age and they became fast friends. Elizabeth becomes more relaxed and comfortable with her new foster home each day. She will still hide when approached quickly, but as soon as she realizes all is safe, she presents herself and demands to be petted. Elizabeth also LOVES to be cuddled and snuggle into bed with her hoomans.

Story
Recently remarried, and wife has allergies. We have had to move Scarlotte to the basement, where she spends about 90% of her time alone. I adopted her about eight years ago from a family with a young child, who I assume terrorized her. When I got her home, she stayed hidden for the first two weeks, but eventually got used to us. I have never taken her to the vet, and have never had any health issues with her, she is an inside cat. She is very gentle, and loving, and deserves a better home.
