Story
Meet Sadie, a 5 year old, 30-pound, black & white Corgi. Sadie was a puppy mill momma and is quickly getting used to this new life. She is trying so hard to be comfortable getting picked up and being loved on. Once she is sitting next to you she accepts all the pets you can give. Sadie has started playing with toys and enjoys exploring the fenced in yard. She gets along fabulously with all the other dogs in her new home but has not been around cats. She has not been around small children but her foster parents don’t think there will be any issues. Sadie prefers to eat alone if there are any other dogs in her new home just until she understands there is enough food to go around! Sadie has become so confident in just a couple weeks but will get startled with loud noises and sudden movements. She likes having a crate to retreat to where she feels the most safe. Sadie would thrive in a home with another dog to follow as she continues her journey learning how to be a dog. Due to weather, Sadie’s foster parents have not done much leash training. House training is going well and with a consistent potty schedule she will have it mastered. Sadie is crate trained, keeping it clean and sleeping through the night. Sadie would feel most comfortable in a home with a family who can offer patience, love, & understanding. Are you ready to cuddle up with a black and white corgi? Sadie is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
KIMBERLY is a sweet 7 month old mixed breed puppy looking for a home. She is an absolute darling. We pulled her from a rural shelter with her mom Kaia. Mama appears to be a cowboy corgi type mix -- a corgi/Australian cattle dog mix. We have no idea what kind of dog her daddy was. Kimberly is a beautiful but slightly timid girl. She is a beautiful dog who HATES to pose for photos, she prefers getting attention and pets! She has a dark chocolate coat with some subtle brindle markings. Kimberly has a sweet disposition, sits for treats and loves getting pets. She's very attentive and eager to learn. Kimberly is currently 26 pounds and we expect her to be in the 30 pound range when fully grown. Kimberly is best suited to a home with another friendly dog companion. If you'd like to meet Kimberly, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Kimberly at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
Henry is very shy, it will take some time for him to adjust, he loves other dogs, and is cautious of humans. He loves playing as long as there is a playmate for him, once he is with you for awhile he will start being curious and you can at that point use toys to lure him closer. Henry came in with another dog that was completely opposite and has seen been adopted out. You can pick him up with no issues. He does not run from you, just freezes. He filches at touch at first, but will relax if gently petted. He is a great playful dog who just needs time and patience. Henry must have a playmate or a dog to follow. A Physical secure fence is required. He will look for a way out in the beginning, then once he adjust he will stop. He is a flight risk and will bolt if given the opportunity. . He continues to make progress and is ready to find his forever patient home. Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped. The rescue does not adopt out to properties with invisible fences or tie outs.
