Story
Hello, everyone!  I'm a vibrant 3-ish year old corgi mix and my name is Beene, affectionately known as Benny Boy by humans.  I arrived in Canada in December 2023 and have been fortunate to live with caring foster families since my arrival who've helped me settle into my new life.  As a special-needs dog requiring diapers/belly bands for indoors, I need an understanding and patient person/family able to commit to my long-term care.  I'm a lively pup with lots of energy, love to give, and excitement for what is to come!  Born in a small village in the Middle East, Benny’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. At just one month old, he was found whimpering alone under a tree. With his mother and littermates nowhere to be found, a kind human brought him to a shelter, where he spent 1.5 years sharing a small space with other dogs. Despite the challenges, Benny’s resilience and sweet personality shone through, eventually earning him a ticket to a new life in British Columbia.f Benny has met several foster families who've cared for him deeply, and where he had the opportunity to live with other dogs, which he got along very well with.  He thrives in the company of playful canine friends and would love a home with another dog or access to regular dog park outings. Benny is a true sweetheart who lives for human affection. He’s known for gently placing his paw on your arm or leg as if to say, “It’s time for pets!” His soulful eyes are guaranteed to melt your heart. Though Benny can be a little timid when meeting new humans (especially men), he warms up quickly with patience and kindness. In fact, his current foster—a man—won him over in just five minutes! Benny is a fast learner, eager to please, and very food-motivated, making training a breeze. He’s gentle, has no resource guarding, and is great with kids. Benny’s incontinence issue is likely neurological (undiagnosed). He signals when he needs to go outside for bowel movements but struggles with bladder control, which is managed indoors with belly bands. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal, giving him space to run, play, and explore while making bathroom breaks easier for everyone.  Without documented separation anxiety, he is fine to be left alone for a few hours. Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fee is by donation.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess. Loved at Last Dog Rescue is not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1675200##

Hi everyone, I am the "O-dacious" Orla and here's some info about me: Age: 3-4Gender: Female  Breed: Corgi mix  Weight: 11 kg (24.25 lb)  I am a small dog with a big heart and love everyone I meet. Whether it’s dogs, cats, kids, or adult humans, I get along with all creatures and radiate my sweetness wherever I go, at least that's what I've heard them say about me.  My journey began on the streets of Istanbul, where I wandered through neighborhoods and yards, patiently seeking kindness. Through the heat of summer and the chill of winter, I wagged my tail at every passerby, hoping for a moment of affection. A kind woman began feeding me, but with six cats already in her care, she couldn’t take me in. Every time the woman built her a shelter, it was sadly destroyed by unfriendly locals.  After months of effort, this compassionate woman found another kind soul to foster me and, with the help of a rescue team, arranged my journey to Vancouver. I have a confirmed ticket to fly from Istanbul arriving Vancouver on March 30th, 2025, where I hope to find my forever home. My foster says that I'm a sweet, cuddly, and gentle girl with a unique quiet nature, as I cannot bark. If you're looking for a dog that is incredibly easygoing, affectionate, and eager to please, that's me! Despite my rough start in life, I don't have any anxiety or behaviour issues. I am a smart and loving companion and enjoy learning new tricks and bringing joy and fun to my people. An adoption fee of $600 applies. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.  Please do NOT submit an application through LALDR. Please contact Azi, at 604-345-6259 or azadehmavadati@gmail.com for more information or to adopt. Orla will arrive in Vancouver on April 1, 2025. If you’re ready to provide a loving home and adopt her, foster-to-adopt, or just foster care for this sweet girl, we will cover all her expenses during the foster period. Should you decide to adopt her, she would be overjoyed to become a cherished part of your life! ##2294260##
