Story
Hi there! My name is ITSY BITSY (Anna) and here is some info about me:Breed: Corgi/Jack Russell mixAge: 10 monthsGender: FemaleWeight: 7.5 kgHeight: 35 cmCountry of Origin: CanadaHighlights: Cuddly, intelligent, loyal, and loving Hi, I want to share a bit about my cute self with you.I started my life with a breeder and then was unexpectedly abandoned by my first owner, who left me behind when they traveled. Since then, I have been temporarily rehomed several times, but have not yet found my forever loving family. Thankfully I was rescued and brought to a kind person where I am safe. While I'm grateful to be here, what I really want is a forever home. I am a sweet tempered, faithful, cuddly pup that wants to love and adore a family of my very own. I am eager to learn and looking forward to meeting you! I know that we will fill each other’s lives with love and joy.I am a young pup, so while I do have a moderate level of energy, I have my puppy exuberance flashes too. I am house trained and have some experience with the leash. I am partly trained but could use some refreshers. Kitties, no problem. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training me.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2141556##

Story
Hello, everyone!  I'm a vibrant 2-ish year old corgi mix and my name is Beene, affectionately known as Benny Boy by humans.  I arrived in Canada in December 2023.  I have been fortunate to live with caring foster families since my arrival.  As a special-needs dog requiring diapers/belly bands for indoors, I need a special kind of person/family able to commit to my long-term care.  I'm a lively pup with lots of energy, love to give, and excitement for what is to come!  I was born in a small village in the Middle East and when I was one month old, a human found me whimpering under a tree all alone.  The whereabouts of my mother and littermates were unkown, so they kindly brought me to a shelter where I stayed for 1.5 years with other dogs in a small room and yard.  Even though the conditions weren't the greatest at the crowded shelter, it provided me the opportunity to connect with people who sponsored my trip to B.C. Benny is happily living in a foster home here in BC with numerous other dogs.  He loves playing with other dogs and would be extremely adaptable in a home with another playful dog(s) or have the opportunity to go to dog parks. Benny enjoys romps with fellow canines, and adores people even more.  He's a sweetheart who lives for human affection and will gently place his paw on your leg or arm to let you know it is time to pet him, or for him to melt your heart with his soulful eyes. Benny has a minor incontinence problem which has been undiagnosed, but is suspected to be neurologically related.  He has given handlers direction for his need to release his bowels by going close to doors, however, his bladder control isn't as easy for him to recognize and has been controlled with belly bands while indoors. Benny is a very friendly and sociable dog, although he can be a bit timid when meeting new humans, particularly men.  With patience and care it won't take him long before seeking their affection. In fact Benny's current foster is a man and it took all of five minutes for them to bond.  Eager to please, and very food motivated, training Benny is a breeze. Being a very gentle soul who doesn't have any resource guarding, he's also great with kids!  Sometimes Benny's joy for life gives him the "zoomies" and he races around happily in large circles.  Leaving Benny home alone for a few hours is no problem: no separation anxiety.  A home with a fenced yard is ideal for him to run, explore, and eliminate without the diaper/belly band.  Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fee is by donation.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess.
