Story
Foster Notes:Bear will great you every morning carrying his bed, a blanket or grab you by your shirt, shorts or any clothing he can put between his front teeth and pull you to where he wants you to go, which is usually the kitchen or his water/ food bowl. He`s a big overgrown puppy that can be super playful and very loving. He is in his destructive phase and will turn his sleeping area into a fluff covered floor after tearing into his beds. He is definitely a leader and will warn you of any movement on your property. He is still potty training but does know how to use doggy door. He`s good with most other dogs, but we have found that he doesn`t like a dog we are watching for a friend. A Meet and Greet would be required for anyone who has other dogs to have them meet if interested in adopting him. He is looking for a family that can fill his life with love, snuggle and adventures!

✨🐾 Meet Corky — A SECOND CHANCE FOR A STREET SURVIVOR 🐾✨ 💔 From the streets of Nogales,AZ to a new beginning — this gentle boy’s story deserves a happy ending. When this sweet pup was found wandering the streets of southern Arizona, he didn’t look good. His finder’s heart broke, but couldn’t take him in herself so she contacted Santa Cruz Animal Care & Control. She visited him at the shelter every day, determined not to let him be forgotten. 💞 When euthanasia became a real possibility, she made a brave choice: she pulled him to safety. Not because she was looking for another dog — but because her heart wouldn’t let her walk away. ❤️ Now this well-behaved, gentle soul is healthy, vaccinated, and ready for a forever home. ✨ About this handsome boy: 📅 2–3 years old ⚖️ 45 lbs 💉 Fully vaccinated & neutered 🏡 Housebroken, calm, affectionate 🚶‍♂️ Walks nicely on leash 🐾 Gets along well with others He’s the kind of dog who quietly reminds you what love, loyalty, and resilience look like. 💕 Now he just needs someone kind enough to give him the home he’s been waiting for. 💌 To adopt Corky, apply at https://airtable.com/appLYepkMeqjx3Tjh/shrtcmS9tSiQOdxMN Let’s make sure this sweet boy’s story ends in love — not loss. 🐕❤️ #RescueStory #ArizonaDog #AdoptDontShop #TucsonAdoptables #PimaAdoptables #RescuedDog #ArizonaRescue #TucsonRescue #SecondChanceDog #RescueDogLove #AdoptMe

Story
I got Loki when he was a puppy. He is now almost 6 years old. A lot of changes happened in my life and I find myself not being able to care for him and give him the life that he so deserves!! He needs to be the only animal in the home and he also doesn’t like small children. I’m not sure why. He is house broken and kennel trained. He is a very loving dog and loves to play with his toys and play fetch.

Story
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Chef—a charming and uniquely adorable companion who’s part potato, part loaf of bread, and 100% lovable. Weighing in at approximately 20 pounds, Chef’s breed mix is a bit of a mystery, though he appears to be a Corgi mix. He is estimated to be around 10 years old.   Chef loves his daily walks, which are essential for both his happiness and waistline! His ideal home would include a secure yard where he can safely explore and indulge his love of chasing lizards and birds. Due to his activity needs and preferences, an apartment setting would not be ideal.   Chef would do best in a home without small children, cats, or other small animals such as rabbits, hamsters, or birds. While he generally gets along well with small dogs, he can be possessive of his toys. He would thrive either as an only pet or with a compatible canine companion, in an environment where he can be the center of attention. He will also flourish in a home with slow introductions to strangers and clear boundaries on what is expected from him.    A devoted companion, Chef loves nothing more than being close to his person—whether that means following them from room to room, lounging at their feet, or curling up in bed. As such, Chef is looking for someone who can spend the day with him—he’s not a fan of being left alone for long stretches.   Chef is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and recently had a dental cleaning. He has a very low titer for valley fever and is currently on a twice-daily fluconazole regimen. Additionally, he takes a low-dose prednisone tablet once daily, which is both affordable and manageable.   Chef is ready to bring joy, companionship, and a bit of quirky charm to a loving home that understands and embraces his needs.   Chef is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita and Catalina only. His adoption fee is $275, with an additional $21 for PACC licensing.   Please fill out an adoption application at www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com to meet Chef!     *Applications to adopt: wwwTucsonColdWetNoses.com Home Visit / ID and Residence Verification is required.  Compliance does not imply or guarantee adoption.   Approval is the sole discretion of CWN representative(s). CENSUS DEADLINECLOSE OF BUSINESS Friday May 15, 2026AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR FOSTERName: GizmoAnimal ID: 887188Age: 8 yearsWeight: 49 lbs.Web Link: https://24petconnect.com/PimaAdoptablePets/Details/PIMA/A887188About: Sweet senior alert, sweet senior alert! If you’ve got a soft spot in your heart and your home for a deserving senior pup, look no further than frosty-faced Gizmo! He’s a pup with SO MANY great qualities! He’s a darling old man who loves people, walks, toys and affection! Gizmo came to the shelter when his owners could no longer care for him. He received treatment from our medical team to take care of some old man lumps and bumps and is on the mend and feeling much better now. He’s looking forward to finding himself a comfy retirement home where he can be the apple of his new family’s eye! Gizmo’s former family said that he loves toys, knows tricks, and is playful but can also be a couch potato. He loves to be by his person’s side, but he can also be independent when need be. He got along well with young children and small dogs in the home. Here’s what one friend at the shelter said:“Gizmo is a super sweet boy. He was easy to leash to exit the kennel with and he LOVED his walk around the lake. He enjoyed watching and listening to the other dogs in the park. He is a social sweetie who would much rather be out with his volunteer friends than cooped up in a kennel!”Gizmo has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. If you’re a sucker for an adorable white muzzle with eyebrows to match, Gizmo would love to meet you!Available for foster care (2+ weeks) or adoption through PACC.Interested parties:Must visit PACC before the COB Friday May 15, 2026 deadline to meet with a counselor who will review notes and introduce you to the dog to ensure that it’s a good fit. Some dogs may also require an introduction to any dogs they may potentially live with.Home Management Plan1) DOG INTRO REQUIRED With Small Dogs: • Reason: selective wih dogs in pg • Slow, Structured Introductions: Introductions must be gradual and carefully managed in neutral territory. Monitor all body language closely, and end sessions on a positive note. • Muzzle Training: It is recommended to condition gizom to a comfortable basket muzzle before introductio
