Ruby is named Ruby because Scaredy-cat is just a stupid name. She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She’s good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls…. And she’s strong. She’s a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She’s not a guard dog, she’ll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. Quiet, soft, and sweet Ruby, she wants to be right at your feet. This dog is sheltered in a foster based, nonprofit rescue. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Story
Birdie is a beautiful Cane Corso approx. 4-5 yrs. old and just under 100 lbs. She is a pretty girl who walks well on a leash and is pretty gentle and easy going. We cannot understand why no one is looking for this big girl. She will sit and loves to lay on her back for you to rub her tummy. Birdie needs a home familiar with the breed. Cane Corsos are protective of their family and home. As Birdie is a large girl we feel small children would probably not be the best fit. Visit her at the Rockbridge Spca or email manager@rockbridgespca.net visit our fb page: dogs of rockbridge and rockbridge spca. NOTE: all animals adopted are taken straight to a local veterinarian for spay/neuter. We do adopt out of area providing adopter is will to make more than one trip. There are NO exceptions, and we do not hold animals. All Kittens and puppies must weigh 2 lbs. for surgery and there are a limited number of veterinarians in our area that will do a pediatric spay/neuter. please note the Rockbridge Spca does not have emotional support animals or service animals. We do not adopt to college students, however, they are welcome to volunteer. NOTE: Fenced yard a must for Birdie, a home visit may be required.
