Filling out the application is not a commitment to an adoption and needs to be done prior to any further questions you might have or information you are seeking. Our Process is the following: 1. Fill out an application 2. Once the application is approved, you will be called or emailed about setting up a day and time to meet me. 3. After a 'Meet and Greet' then a decision for both the rescue and you will determine if this is a good match. After this is determined, we will schedule a home check which can be the day of adoption depending on how things go.

Kona was found on 12/8/24 at Pioneer Parkway and Centennial Boulevard in Springfield. It is unknown if she is spayed at this time. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time.The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information!Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Halo is a very sweet dog. She loves our kids and us and when she gets excited her little tail starts wagging. She will bark when unkown people come to door. She likes to chase cats but hasn't hurt one. She gets along with our other dogs, but at times becomes territorial over her food and toys when my other dogs are nearby. I can no longer keep her and my English Mastiff together at any time. She cannot be allowed around chickens and or small indoor pets such as guinea pigs. She should be the only dog in a house due to uncertainty around other animals. If she was my only dog I would keep her as she is such a sweet dog to us, but unfortunately I can't keep her and my English Mastiff together. She is still in-tact because I cannot afford to get her spayed due to an economic hardship during the last year.

Looking for a Loving Home for Our Sweet Pup 🐾 It breaks our hearts, but we’re looking to rehome our beautiful girl, Leah June. She’s an 8-month-old Cane Corso/Pit Bull mix, about 50 pounds, and has all her vaccines and a microchip. Leah is high-energy, super playful, and always excited to play! We’ve been working with a trainer for the past 3 months, and she’s learned: ✅ Potty trained (she lets us know when she needs to go outside) ✅ Commands: Sit, Down, Place, Break (when it’s time to settle from playing) She gets along well with our Chihuahua, but because of her size and energy, her playfulness can be a lot. She’s slowly learning to cuddle and has the cutest underbite smile you’ve ever seen! She sleeps overnight in her crate without issues (not 100% crate trained yet, but she settles in fine). Despite the training, we’ve realized that due to our schedules, we just can’t give her the time and active life she needs and deserves.
