Story
Name, age, breed: Wario, 1yr, Cane Corso mixLikes: his toys, people, tug - of - war, going for walks, cuddles on the couch, his kong and treat dispensing ball, treatsDislikes: new situations he isn't familiar with, loud noisesWhat would be the ideal home? A quiet home without lots of new people coming and going. Good with other cats? NoGood with dogs? No - may eventually but only when he is more socialized.Good with children? Unknown, but no children under 12 is recommended. Small, fast moving, or unpredictable kids will likely scare himTemperament: Really sweet boy when you get to know him! He may be shy to start, but when he is comfortable he will jump in your lap to cuddle! Quiet and independent.Motivators? TreatsAny commands? Sit, down, paw, other paw, go-on, comeHouse trained? Yes. Not destructive, he just likes to lay on the couch while home alone. Crate trained? UnknownHow long will it take to settle into a new environment? A few weeks. He will be fine to be left alone but will take a while to learn everything isn't scary, what all the new noises are, and routine. Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? CWario is a bit of a nervous dog. He is learning that strangers aren't scary. He's happily curious and eager to meet people but cautious. He is still learning what all the different noises are and that he is safe. He no longer barks at large trucks (garbage/recycling/dump), but motorcycles still worry him. VERY strong prey drive. VERY strong puller when he wants something but otherwise walks nicely on leash. Some resource guarding so a home with lots of things he can steal (toys etc.) isn't ideal. No toys with squeakers. Medical: N/AIf you think Wario is the one for you - fill out an application today!
