Story
Welcome Bob to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 5.5 year old Cane Corso/Mastiff mixed dog. He is about 70 pounds and he is very sweet. He is now ready for his forever home. He is an adorable bubble blower and he had the most adorable drool on the video. If you love the Mastiff breed then you know they drool. It is a part of their charm. He will be a loyal boy and he is lower on the energy scale. He was extremely happy to be walking her at the rescue. We have been spending lots of time getting all the adult dogs good on leash. He has a lower coat and not a huge shedding dog. He would be great for an older couple looking for a large and lower energy companion. He would also be good for a family where the man works out of town and he wants to know his kids and wife feel safe with a dog watching the scene. He is healthy and getting vaccines. He is neutered and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Story
Onyx is a friendly, social dog who is timid with humans at first and playful with dogs. Although Onyx is a big boy, he is easily startled by loud noises and will need supportive humans who can help him build his self confidence. Do you have what it takes to help this gentle giant shine?OTHER PETS: Onyx does well with other dogs, taking feedback well and playing appropriately. His size might be overwhelming for some smaller dogs; but Onyx is a sociable, friendly dog who enjoys making new friends to play with and listens well when playmates ask for space or time. [Case-By-Case (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: Onyx is a younger, large breed dog who will need positive reinforcement training to help him learn important skills. Someone with large dog experience would be the best fit to set Onyx up to be the best dog he can be. [Some Experience] KIDS: Onyx is timid at first and little intense around food; his best fit would be with humans who are old enough to understand and respect his boundaries. As with all our adoptable dogs, Onyx should meet any minor humans he would be living with prior to adoption. [12+ (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Onyx would do great with multiple daily walks and plenty of mental enrichment. As he matures he may settle a bit. Positive reinforcement training will allow him to participate in other activities and adventures. [Good Walking Buddy / Olympic Athlete]VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Onyx build his confidence as well as strengthening the bond between him and his new owner. Onyx will learn important life skills with positive reinforcement, as well as fun tricks for mental enrichment and confidence-building. . [Moderate] GROOMING: [Minimal]January 28, 2025, 11:34 am
