Story
Meet the stunning Big Blue, a 2-year-old Cane Corso mix weighing an impressive 98 pounds. With captivating green eyes, he's sure to grab your attention! Big Blue, crate trained and in the process of house training, is neither destructive indoors nor outdoors and isn't overly vocal in his foster home. Responsive when people call him over, he does well on car rides and walks well on a leash too.  This energetic fellow would be a great running partner as he really enjoys running around and is very active! He loves to play and also loves small pillows.  While he thrives around people and is good with kids, he is selective with other dogs, favoring larger females over small dogs and males (absolutely no male / small dogs and no cats in his future home). He plays well with his foster’s large female dog and others he’s met.  A fenced yard is required for Big Blue’s forever home and it would be ideal if his adopters have experience with his breed as they are not for everyone! Again, applicants must not have male dogs, cats, or small dogs. Please don’t wait, he’s a serious catch and will not be available for long!!!  DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake. ***MOST OF OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).  Our adoption fee is $350 plus health certificate and transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), fecal analysis, spay/neuter for dogs 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport. Story
This is Abel! He is a big cuddle bug who loves toys and playing outside with adults and kids. He just turned one this past April and is about 85lbs give or take. He is the typical big dog who thinks he's a lap dog. He loves to give hugs and kisses. We would love to keep him, but we've had some unforeseen circumstances that prevents us from keeping our big baby. Abel loves to run around outside and lay out in the sun and bake, he also loves to play in snow and loves water play. his favorite thing to do outside when it's hot is to eat the water as its coming out of the hose. He does great with bath time and nail trimming. He does very well with walking on leashes and not tugging. He is a very shy boy and is slow to warm up to new people and dogs, but he is truly the sweetest and kindest, and it breaks my heart to find him a new family. Ideally, I would love to see my boy go to a new home with big fenced in yard where he can run and relax and have friends to play with.

Story
Born 11/20/2022, Mars was born in our rescue on 11/20/2022 along with 8 siblings. He was adopted as a very young puppy where he lived for exactly one year to the date. His owner decided on his one year adoptaversary that she was not able to keep him due to life changes but would be keeping her other two dogs. Poor Mars has no idea what is happening and why and we are completely heartbroken for him. All he has ever known was this family since they were also the family that fostered him as a baby once he was old enough to be separated. Now, he finds himself looking for a home again because his family has decided to divorce and neither wants to care for him.  Mars is a year and 4 months old, weighs 80 pounds and gets along with everyone and all dogs. He goes to doggy daycare twice a week and takes longs walks during the day. He is a cane corso pittie mix who just wants to be around his people. He would love a home where his people are around more often than not. After everything he is going through right now, it is understandable that he is feeling the changes and wants to be with his person. Mars also has seasonal allergies so he would need either an injection of cytopoint every 4-8 weeks or apoquel once a day. Other than allergies, he is a super healthy and beautiful boy.  We are desperate to find Mars the perfect family this time. We promised him we would never fail him again and we hope that someone sees him and falls in love like we have with this amazing pup. Mars is not cat friendly. To adopt Mars, please apply on our website! www.keytolionsheart.org/adopt   &#226&#128&#139Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our dogs. Story
Hi, I'm Gotti! Don't let my size fool you. I am a sweet, gentle, giant. I am bonded with my best friend, Nala. We have been together our whole lives so we want to continue to stay together. I like walks outside, but I especially LOVE walking side by side with my Nala. I am a big guy, so I need someone that can handle walking us both. We both love kids! Cats.. not so much. I absolutely adore back scratches and car rides. I love playing with squeaky toys and kongs. I may be a big strong dog, but I am a sweetheart. If you're looking for two sweet dogs to brighten your days, look no further! Come meet us and fall in love! Interested in adopting us? We recommend submitting a general online adoption application and then heading to the shelter during our normal adoption hours (Mon: 12-4pm and Tues-Sun: 12-5pm) to meet our available animals. Please note: all applications are considered general until the animal has been met. If you have any questions, please contact animalcenter@bmorehumane.org or 410-833-8848 Ext/Opt 2.

Story
Zeus-at-a-glance: 9 year old, male, neutered, Cane Corso, 105 lbs., up-to-date on core vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. Zeus takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  Zeus had a family that had to move without him and were devastated to leave him behind at the shelter.  LOVEPAWS couldn't bear the thought of Zeus spending Thanksgiving alone in a noisy and overcrowded shelter so we sprung him the day before the holiday.   Zeus is looking for a quiet home without a lot of hustle and bustle where he can live out his golden years on a soft bed in front of a warm fire (aren't we all?) He's being fostered with a 15 year old female dog that is not very snuggly with people or other animals, but she adores her foster brother Zeus and they have to be touching each other while sleeping in bed! Zeus has also lived with a cat in his foster home that wants to be friends with him, but he wasn't sure what to think of her, so he just co-existed with her, napping on the bed with her too. Foster mommy describes him as a big ol' love muffin! He LOVES all women and older, considerate kids! He needs a little time and slow intros to warm up to men but once he warms up, he's a total love muffin! He's a strong boy and is working on leash manners. He loves carrots as a healthy snack! He really enjoys playing with toys and chewing on Nylabones. He's an adaptable boy and can be a chill couch potato or go for a walk! If he sees to touch his leash, you better be ready to walk him!  Zeus loves scritches and pets so much that he'll stand beside his foster mom while she's on the computer working and nearly falls asleep standing up while she pets him and runs the back scratcher up and down his back. He's a silly boy! Zeus on his daily routine: I wake up, go potty in the yard with my foster sis Koda, chow down on breakfast then nap the day away with Koda until foster mommy comes home. When she gets home, I see her touch the leash and give her just enough time to get her shoes on before I start jumping at the leash for WALK TIME!!!! After working up an appetite on my walk, I eat dinner, go out for a post-dinner potty break, and come inside to snuggle with foster mommy (I make sure to get lots of pets!). I retreat to bed around 7pm after a long day and hope mommy and sis join me soon! We think senior dogs rock and have a lot of love and joy to bring to their adoptive families.   Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Submit an application here! July 2, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
MEET CHAMBER!   7 year old Chamber has a big, beautiful smile and would love for his smile to greet you every morning to start your day. He is an active, friendly 86 pound Cane Corso/Lab/Pittie mix dog who has benefitted from his stay at our rescue by working on perfecting his walk as well as his leash manners and sociability, and we are so very pleased with the outcome.  He lives with and plays with dogs that are about his size or smaller, and he does well as long as he gets to know them slowly and with proper supervision. He is treat-motivated and quickly learned sit, down, and paw and we're sure you can teach him more with a handful of treats! Chamber has also worked on the 'leave it' command, making him much easier to train as he quickly returns his attention to his person when distracted by fascinating things like goats and chickens.     Chamber would prefer an active lifestyle or a large, fenced yard with plenty of attention, but at 7 years old, he has outgrown his puppy activity level, so he's very motivated for couch duty as well.   Chamber can be a bit too excited when getting treats, so we recommend he go into a home with children 10 and up. He has a prey drive and should not be in a home with cats, gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, etc.   Chamber's adoption donation fee is $350, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for Chamber by filling out our online application, which is found on our websitewww.tarashouse.net or www.tarashouse.org. Please email us at info@tarashouse.netwith any questions.   Can you be Chamber’s person?July 1, 2024, 4:36 pm
