Story
Dog's Name: Gracie Location : Fort Atkinson, WIAge or Date of Birth: July 2021 (estimate)Gender: FemaleBreed: Cane Corso MixFoster Dog's Weight: 83 lbs Gracie gets along with:Dogs?: Some female dogs Needs a slow introduction to other dogs. Would do best as only dog.Cats?: Unknown but unlikely due to prey driveKids?:  Older kids, needs slow introduction Gracie is a very sweet, loyal girl. Unfortunately, Gracie has had negative encounters with other dogs and will do best as an only dog without lots of excitement as new environments and situations scare her. She is very protective of her people and given this would be best in a home that can continue to work on her training while also respecting muzzle safety in unfamiliar places. Gracie’s perfect adopter must be knowledgeable of guardian breeds and uderstand Gracie may not be able to be a social dog. Gracie doesn’t require a fenced yard but does require constantsupervision or to be leashed when outside due to her prey drive.  She will do best as an only dog to reduce her stress and anxiety. Story
Hi, I am Cherry Pie and am new to the rescue. I am currently decompressing and getting used to my foster family. Check back as my foster family learns more about me! Dog’s Name: Cherry Pie Location: St. Joseph, Il. Age or Date of Birth: 11/27/2016 Gender: Female Breed: Cane Corso  Color: Brindle/White Dog's Weight: 83.8 lbs Leash Trained - walks loose leash Crate Trained - goes to crate/kennel on command Potty Trained - indicates need to potty and doesn't have indoor accidents Car - Rides well in the car Cherry Pie has been in foster care 9 days and this is what we know so far.  Cherry is a wonderful girl. Trip to the Vet went great.  No aggression toward the staff. She loves playing in the yard.  As she passes kenneled dogs, she hasn't interacted or shown aggression.  She just wags her tail as she passes.  When walking past the resident ducks, she looks at them and keeps walking! She doesn't bark in her kennel and is truly a fabulous girl! Cherry Pie will be visiting extended family of her foster home soon.   Cherry will be good for first time giant owner.  Additional dogs in the home are not necessary. Her new family doesn't need a fence as long as she gets her excercise with daily walks.  She does a couple zoomies but isn't one that does them non stop! She will be a wonderful companion for any family.   Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online application with the $25 application donation. All approved applications are good for 12 months. Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. All dogs adopted from Just Giants Rescue are up to date on vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Some exceptions may apply. All adoption fees are non-refundable; Just Giants is a NFP 501(c)3 organization. Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. Story
*UTD/MICROCHIPPED/ ON MONTHLY FLEA AND TICK AND HEARTWORM PILL/SPAYED *good with cats *no kids under 12 ( she is very fast when she runs) *non- reactive dogs are best to pair her with *loves chew toys and tennis balls!! On Feb 08, 2024, Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control officer, reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! We have dog tested Beauty at our dog trainers place in Athens, TN and found out that she is good with non-reactive dogs ( we have been pairing her up with non- reactive dogs at our rescue for play) .She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy, young kids could unknowingly get in her way. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as she has a curious snout! Her most favorite toy is a tennis ball! if you have two, that would be great or else you WILL go through ALOT of them because she will chew them up right away! We are teaching her to bring it and leave it and wait for us to toss her second ball. sometimes, we will work with her on just one ball....but that is a lot more work vs having a second one ready haha! We do believe she is house broken as she has not made any messes in our home or the dog building. **We do offer foster to adopt to do a trail run** ( PLEASE ASK US FOR MORE INFORMATION AS WE TAILOR TO YOUR NEEDS/ REQUESTS AS NEEDED, THE BEST WE CAN) If you have any questions, please feel free to get ahold of us through here, or through our website at www.woofwooffosters.org . Thank you, woofwoof fosters -team This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
