Story
Paisley is a beautiful and deserving Cane Corso looking for her forever family! She has a gorgeous brindle and black coat, and is estimated to be 4yr old. She is currently a little underweight, at 62lbs. Paisley ended up as a stray at an overcrowded Atlanta shelter before coming to BarkVille Dog Rescue. It&#39s apparent that she has likely had puppies before, and her demeanor is currently a little sad. She is low key and very loving. She enjoys riding in the car, and is friendly with people and other dogs. Paisley is house trained, and crate trained. Paisley would do well in an apartment or house, and does not require a fenced yard. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.November 3, 2024, 9:25 pm

Nala is a sweet, affectionate & calm 3 year old female Cane Corso mix breed (55 pounds). Nala is always friendly with people. I’m rehoming Nala because she doesn't get along with my small male dog. Thus, Nala needs to be in a 1 dog household.

Story
There’s no place like home… let’s find Whiskey one! Whiskey was born at BCAR three years ago, and sadly, while his five littermates and his mom were all long-ago adopted, he has lived his whole life at the shelter. One of our volunteers brought Whiskey home for a couple of days, and here’s what he’s like in a home. Please share this with everyone you know and let’s find Whiskey a home of his own! Whiskey is a loving dog with a great disposition. He will make a beloved pet for a person or family who is active, likes to walk or run every day, lives in a quieter environment, likes to talk and interact with their dog, will take cues from Whiskey about his comfort level with different, new situations and people and make accommodations accordingly. He is a sweet, loving, trusting, smart dog – Whiskey is everything you want in a companion dog. Whiskey is people-focused. He is a BCAR volunteer favorite and gets along with the other dogs as long as they keep their distance. He will run/walk several miles a day, with a couple of other 5-10 minute outings during the day. He is not an alpha dog but you would want him to be the only dog in his home. Whiskey has had a lot of obedience training. He does not bark and is house trained. He was not destructive. He is not mischievous, does not chew items, doesn’t have separation anxiety, and he doesn’t shed. He’ll sit beside you on the sofa for hours, and even watches TV! His cons? He is nervous of new noises – the dishwasher, the icemaker, thunder. And he is reactive to other dogs when walking. Being cognizant of this, you can act accordingly and prevent issues. Whiskey is a good, all-night sleeper, either in his own bed, or yours, your preference! All BCAR dogs are placed as indoor family pets. No electric fences, please. Visit pets every Saturday 11:00 am to 2:00 pm (706-268-1346) or visit our website for adoption information at www.bigcanoeanimalrescue.org.

Story
Meet our Labor Day Pups. Grace Lynn came to Barkville on August 29th, 2024. She was dropped off at our partner vet in Johns Creek for her intake vetting. Because it was Labor Day weekend she scheduled for her exam on Tuesday, September 3rd. To everyone&#39s surprise, when the vet tech came in on Tuesday morning, they were greeted by smiling Grace Lynn and her 9 beautiful puppies. This litter of 9 puppies (5 females and 4 males) was born on 9/2/2024. They are believed to be Anatolian Shepherd Mixes. When full grown, we expect these puppies to be medium to large size, weighing between 45 - 70lbs. They are all adorable playful puppies and will require patience and continued training as they mature. They are all sweet, friendly, and curious puppies always ready to explore and play. Their energetic nature is balanced by their love for cuddles, making them the perfect companion for any adventure or a quiet evening at home. These puppies are not just pets, they will be your friend, a confidante, and a source of unconditional love. Their playful spirit and loving nature make them the perfect addition to any family.
