Story
Gunner is pure breed Cane Corso, we have had him since he was 4 months old. He is a great family dog. Not sure how well he would do with other dogs because he has only been around our other smaller dog. My daughters allergies jave gotten worst so we are trying to find a home for him. We paid $4k, and hate to see him go, but want to find a good family for him

Story
My dog is 6 and a 1/2 years old, she is very friendly. She has been with me occasionally. Once or twice, a dog has come up that she is not familiar with and got a bad vive. Ann hasground but not bitten. She loves the outdoors. When you tell her to sit, she will sit. When you tell her to come, come. If you tell her to get up, she will get up. She's already had 4 litters. And recently in the last 8 months was her last litter. She cannot have any more litters. I would like my dog to go to a good home. She is a good watchdog, and let's people know that there is a dog on the premise. And she does bark. Would like for somebody to appreciate a good watch dog. She's very healthy. Time to time I would like to come see her to let her know that I am still around that she is not being abandoned. The reason I am letting her go is because I am moving and I cannot have a large dog.Unfortunately, I have no room to keep her

Story
Hello, I work at a place in Jamul and one of the tenants at the property has a dog (cane corso) who had puppies in August 2024 (their dad was a pit mix). There were 12, 10 were homed and 2 remain. They are now almost 7 months old and the guy who is caring for them has had no luck finding homes for these last 2. They are not vaccinated and not spayed. Pretty much he doesn’t know what to do and doesn’t seem to think there are any good options for them. They are sooo sweet and so trainable and lovable. I took 2 of them myself and love them so much. I can’t take in 2 more or I would have already. Please consider adopting o per both of these puppies

Story
This sweet girl is named Porsche. She is a 4 year old purebred Cane Corso. She has been with our family since she was 8 weeks old. We got Porsche right when she was able to be rehomed at 8 weeks! From a loving family who was well familiar with these breeds in Northern California. Porsche really needs a new, loving and patient home. She will love everyone or anyone who brings her into their life. She is very sweet and very protective. Cane Corso’s have natural high territorial instinct and are aggressive breeds. Porsche is a sweet girl, loves to lay and cuddle on the bed. She sometimes is more vocal than a husky and speaks to you when she wants to play or get rubbed or eat! She is very attentive and when she doesn’t like someone or trust them she won’t allow them near her premises. Her only issue is she does not get along with other pets and especially cats, and that is one of the reasons we have to rehome her aside from our housing issue which we can no longer keep her with us.

ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Duke is Courtesy Post Only and is not a Second Chance Dog Rescue dog. SCDR is not responsible for any ownership, behavior, health, and representations made by the owner with respect this dog. Please contact their owner,  Dawn at dawn.regner@yahoo.com for further information.   ************** Duke is a beautiful Cane Corso (approx. 2-3 years old) who is fully potty trained, crate trained, and neutered.  He is up to date on all vaccinations and has been given a clean bill of health by the vet.  He is friendly and affectionate; in many ways, he is a gentle giant.  Duke loves to play in the yard (he does get the zoomies from time to time, which can be quite an exciting experience for this 100-lb dog!) but also likes some routine and structure.  After a good romp around the backyard, chasing toys and jumping around, he’s happy to settle in for a nice nap! He gets along very well with other dogs, including our 8-year-old Maltipoo.  Duke also goes to doggie daycare twice a week and loves hanging out with all his friends there.  He is also great with kids. The ideal home would be one with some room to run and play (and maybe even another doggie friend in home to play with!), and with someone who is home often and can devote a little time and attention (preferably an owner who has had experience with dogs of his size and/or breed).  He’s not thrilled with being alone for long stretches, and when that’s necessary he tends to prefer the crate.  Because he has undergone some trauma in his past, he has a few issues with anxiety.  But he’s happy to give (and receive!) a lot of love and will make a great family dog in the right home. For further information on Duke, please contact, his owner Dawn at dawn.regner@yahoo.com. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.  February 22, 2025, 3:22 pm

Story
Rene was wandering around the block for several weeks, until he was given the opportunity to enter the home of one of the rescuers. He has been a very protective, loving dog, and from the first moment he was always grateful. He has gained weight and is ready for his new home. He loves to get close to the fence to be petted by neighbors. He is good with cats, although because of his size we do not leave him unsupervised when he is with them, and he lives with most females. He doesn't like to have another male around, he is the alpha and everyone knows it, but with people, he is the biggest baby of them all. He loves treats, lots of love and affection, going for walks and playing with balls and rubber toys. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego
