NOTE: If you are interested in more than one pup from this litter, simply indicate which when prompted. No need to submit multiple applications! It's a puppy palooza! Introducing Clove, Saffron, Paprika, Sage, Chili, Anise, Nutmeg, and Basil! These not-so-small bundles of energy and excitement are eagerly awaiting their forever families -- could you be the one? This litter of eight Cane Corso puppies have plenty of energy and, while they may be small now, can weigh in at over 110 pounds when full grown! With this in mind, they will need extensive socialization and training. Potential adopters should be prepared to dedicate a significant amount of time reinforcing good development as they continue to grow. These pups would thrive in homes where they can get plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and love. A yard to run around in or access to dog parks would be a bonus! They'd do well in homes with other dogs and would enjoy growing up with kids who love to play and engage.***Adopting a puppy is a big decision (and a life long commitment to the dog!). Before taking the plunge, it is a good idea to research breeds, Animal Kind training techniques, and local puppy classes. The entire family should be ready to share the responsibility of having a puppy in the home. The time it takes in the beginning (house training, chewing, waking you up at night, training, socializing) more than pays itself back when the dog grows into its full size and becomes an invaluable member of your family! Remember - these pups will grow into big, strong dogs and will need a family that's ready for the adventure!***Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be this pup's person? Apply today!TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible, and effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-victoria/Visit the BC SPCA Victoria Center to view this pet and apply to adopt in person; ORSubmit an online application and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit.Kindly note that due to the high number of applications, we will only be contacting select matches to further review their interest. The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday - Saturday, 12pm - 4pm. *Staff and animal well-being permitting!*Animals cannot be held for potential adopters for more than 24 hours without a legitimate reason. Story
Oh Biff. What a big ham you are!! Biff was found tied to a pole here in Vancouver next to a bowl of water. We are not sure what his story is but it is evident he was not wanted. He is the biggest, kindest, friendliest dog ever and he is quickly becoming a staff favorite. Biff has some ongoing health issues that will likely need lifelong treatment for. He has severe food allergies and is being treated for skin and nail bed infections due to the allergic response he has been suffering. He has now been neutered and is on a refeeding regiment as he was quite underweight. He is currently 85 lbs and could still use some more pounds. He is also not the most well put together dog but what he lacks for in structure, he makes up for in temperament!! He is a LOVE! Biff is great with every person and dog he has met so far and displays absolutely no aggressive or reactive behaviors. It appears he may have been mistreated in his previous home as he is head shy and will cower when objects are held up in the air. He walks VERY well on leash. He stays with you and watches you if you have treats. He looks to his handler for reassurance when something looks a bit scary and is very easily persuaded that everything is fine if you tell him so. He is a big scavenger so you do need to watch that he won't eat trash or anything resembling food when you are with him. He is a calmer dog but definitely enjoys going for his walks. Biff is a big boy and due to his size and past abuse, we feel he would be best suited for adults but may be ok with older children/teenagers. Please note: Due to ongoing health issues, fee is reduced. This dog will most likely need ongoing veterinary care for his lifetime. Other Dogs : Yes Cats: Don't know Kids: Yes, maybe 10+ Apartment: yes Walks: Yes please! New People: No issues -------------------------------------------------------------------- At City of Vancouver Animal Services, we have a foster-to-adopt program whereby prospective new owners foster the adoptable animal for 21 days before committing to adoption. This ensures that both the new owner and the adoptable animal are well suited to each other. Adoption Fee $114 Includes: -Spay/Neuter -First set of shots -One vet visit -Microchip -Bag of food If you live in Vancouver, you will also need to buy a dog license.
