Story
Hi, I am Luca, an affectionate 2 ½-year-old Canaan Dog that has quite a story! I am originally from a shelter in Bethlehem, Palestine. I made my way to the United States in August and have been fostered in New Jersey since. I have adapted well to my new life and am excited to find my forever home. Once I get to know someone well, I'll warm up to them quickly. There is nothing I won't do for cuddles and belly rubs! This is because I love people! I also like other dogs; however, I need a slow introduction. I know my basic training commands and am exceptionally good at “sit” and “down.” My foster family has worked with a professional trainer, and they continue to train me. They report that I am making great progress as my breed is very smart and known for my exceptional training abilities. According to my foster family, I am extremely loving, affectionate, and loyal. I love hanging out on the porch or in the backyard and would do best in a home with some enclosed outdoor space. I will happily rest my head on my foster mom's lap or turn over for belly rubs while we are watching TV. I am fully house trained, vaccinated, and healthy. I would do best with an experienced forever person or family who would take pleasure in continuing to train me. My ideal home is one without little humans since I enjoy a calm environment. Will you open your heart to me?

Story
Daisy spent some time of her early life in a high-kill shelter where she had been found starving in the streets. Later on, she was adopted off the shelter's euthanasia list by an elderly man in his 90s. However, Daisy was too energetic and active for him to manage. Her owner tried to rehome Daisy without luck as all the shelters and rescues were full. We were full as well, but received a call to rescue Daisy while the she was at the vet's office, moments away from being euthanized for a second time! We couldn't say no to this special girl, and boy are we glad we didn't. Daisy is a well-behaved dog, although she has a penchant for the taste of good dog beds. She loves to cuddle and play and has been tested with cats and deemed unbothered by confident felines who don’t run away. With other dogs, Daisy prefers to be the dominant female dog and may have issues with other female dogs who are not submissive. Daisy enjoys being indoors near her humans or playing outdoors with other dogs. Daisy needs to be fed separately from other dogs, however, she is not aggressive towards humans when it comes to food, even if something is taken away from her. Daisy has not had much socialization with young kids so she requires a home with older children that will respect her space (8+) or no children. Daisy has done great during our 'Doggy Day Out' events. She LOVES car rides and pup cups! During her last outing, she walked well on a leash while we were inside Rural King. Daisy also enjoyed getting pets strangers and familiar adults alike, and was happy to give kisses to everyone who asked for them. Daisy is located in East, TN. But if you are seeing this on adopt-a-pet, transport fees are included in the adoption fee. Out of state adopters are welcomed. Transport is available to your area in the NorthEast or Great Lakes area. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road (Rescue Riders Transport)! Our website is woofwooffostersaol.com

Story
Luna was adopted from the K9 Global Dog Rescue from Jordan. She was found in the desert in Jordan, and my ex-husband was there at this time with the US Army. She is 6 years old, she is a very calm dog and independent. She loves the beach, running in the sand is her favorite thing to do. Loves belly rubs, and just cuddling on your feet. She doesn't go on furniture. She doesn't even like to sleep on the bed, she loves to have her own space where she can relax when her social battery is drained. She knows commands such as sit, lay down, and paw. She loves eating cheese, any kind of cheese, really. I cannot provide her with all the love and attention she deserves, I want her to go to a safe and loving home. I can cover her pet wellness plan with Banfield Pet Hospital until it runs out on sept 16, 2024.
