Story
Hello - my name is Pebbles, and I was found in a barn as a little kitten with my brother Bam Bam. We both were brought to the sanctuary as young adults. I tend to be very shy, and I do not want to be held or petted very much, but everyone says I have THE most beautiful eyes!  I will show affection and will rub against my people's leg and get scratched when it is dinner time! My BFF here at the sanctuary is Sir Hiss-A-Lot (he is the handsome orange guy), and we would like to be adopted together. Pebbles has stage 3 of 4 kidney disease and gets sub Q fluids every other day to help her feel more comfortable. Story
Rin came to GGOH from a private rescuer in Minnesota when she reached out for a little help. Rin was a stray so we have no previous history on her. DOB is approximately 1/1/2019. Rin has a quieter, shy personality; with the right home, she will be a great companion. She loves to play and snuggle with other cats, is active and healthy. She has a beautiful dilute calico coat that she keeps neat and clean. While Rin is very cat friendly, she is still quite reserved around humans - when meeting her, she generally will let you near her, but will move away if you attempt to pet her. She's worth the effort to get to know and has great potential, but it will take time for her to trust someone new. If you have the willingness to try and let her adjust at her own pace, she might be a great fit for you. We have not directly introduced Rin to dogs, but she has been in the room as they've walked by and she paid no attention to them whatsoever. Our guess is that in a home environment, she will likely act the same and over time, perhaps even become best buds with them. As Rin is still quite people reserved, we recommend older children only for her as youngsters often do not understand a cat's signals and Rin would not be too happy with a child rushing at her. Story
Caribou is a beautiful calico/tabby mix who was picked up off the side of a freeway with her two kittens. The finder took Caribou to MNSnap as a TNR cat but after seeing how good she was with her kittens and the potential she had to becoming a house cat/pet, the finder reached out to us to take her rather than return her to where she was found. She has been very shy and a bit nervous since she joined us but we know she has great potential if someone would just give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and safe. We know that she is not the type of cat that everyone is looking for as many want instant gratification cats but we whole-heartedly believe that her person is out there somewhere and without us posting her story, that person may never be found. If you have an open heart and a desire to make a difference in a cat's life, maybe Caribou is the one for you - it's worth a visit to at least meet her, right? Caribou's DOB is approx. 6/1/18. Her ear tip that you see in her profile pics is the result of her spay at MNSnap. Presently, we are recommending older children only as a match for Caribou as little ones would not know how to read her signs. Dogs are an unknown. And, as you can see in one of her pics, she does fabulously with other cats. If you'd like to meet Caribou, please visit our website to schedule a visitation. www.ggohinc.com.

Story
Patches joined us here at GGOH after we helped a local farmer with an overpopulation problem; she came to us pregnant. Since intake, Patches has been slowly adjusting to the idea that indoor living is the way to go and that humans are not scary and just want to show her how good life can be. She's getting there. Patches will need an adopter or family that is willing to give her time and patience - to adjust and to trust. She's really a very sweet girl and she deserves the chance at a home of her own with her own people to love on her. She will approach for treats (i.e. - she is food motivated) and will stay near but picking up is not on her current list of likes. She really just needs someone to help her understand what a good live is all about. Do you have it within you to be Patches' human companion? Why not meet her and find out. Patches' DOB is approx. 8/17/2019. If you'd like to meet Patches, please go to our webpage to review our adoption process and requirements and to schedule an on-site visit. www.ggohinc.com

Story
If you'd like to meet Glamour, please go to our website and review our adoption policies and procedures and to schedule an on-site visit. www.ggohinc.com Glamour is one of our more shy cats here at GGOH. She is very sweet and just needs someone who has time, patience, and love to give. She is not a cat that is going to meet you at the door when you come for a visit, but she will be in the background watching you, waiting to see if you might notice her. She allows a slow hand and a gentle touch. We know that this beautiful girl has lots of warmth and love to give if someone would just take a chance on her and give her consistent attention and love. We do our best here at the rescue to give all of our pets tons of love, but it will never compare to the love that an owner can give. Please consider this sweetheart - we know she's not for everyone, but maybe, just maybe, she's for you. Glamour's approx. DOB is 10/1/2020.

Story
I'm grieved in so many ways as I have to re-home this cat.. She was my mom's cat and I took her in due to her moving and not being able to take her with her. She's about 5 years old. She is declawed and spayed. She's an extremely well-behaved cat in every way. She and my cat do not get along at all and she's got to be the only animal.. She will make a great companion for an older person or anyone that's looking for a therapy animal. She's very well behaved. Call her name and she'll come pretty much most of the time. She is a cat that needs to be around humans. I will be picky with who she goes to. Located in Rice Lake She needs to go to someone that will love her and spoil her! I have her in my possession due to my mom moving into assistant living a month after losing her husband. So Pickles lost both her pet parents one due to death, and lost her home. I took her because she knows me well and with what all has happened in her life last year. She does not do well with any animal...
