Story
Rin came to GGOH from a private rescuer in Minnesota when she reached out for a little help. Rin was a stray so we have no previous history on her. DOB is approximately 1/1/2019. Rin has a quieter, shy personality; with the right home, she will be a great companion. She loves to play and snuggle with other cats, is active and healthy. She has a beautiful dilute calico coat that she keeps neat and clean. While Rin is very cat friendly, she is still quite reserved around humans - when meeting her, she generally will let you near her, but will move away if you attempt to pet her. She's worth the effort to get to know and has great potential, but it will take time for her to trust someone new. If you have the willingness to try and let her adjust at her own pace, she might be a great fit for you. We have not directly introduced Rin to dogs, but she has been in the room as they've walked by and she paid no attention to them whatsoever. Our guess is that in a home environment, she will likely act the same and over time, perhaps even become best buds with them. As Rin is still quite people reserved, we recommend older children only for her as youngsters often do not understand a cat's signals and Rin would not be too happy with a child rushing at her. To meet Rin, please visit our webpage to review our adoption process and requirements and to schedule an on-site appointment. https://www.ggohinc.com/adoption-process-cats

Story
Caribou is a beautiful calico/tabby mix who was picked up off the side of a freeway with her two kittens. The finder took Caribou to MNSnap as a TNR cat but after seeing how good she was with her kittens and the potential she had to becoming a house cat/pet, the finder reached out to us to take her rather than return her to where she was found. She has been very shy and a bit nervous since she joined us but we know she has great potential if someone would just give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and safe. We know that she is not the type of cat that everyone is looking for as many want instant gratification cats but we whole-heartedly believe that her person is out there somewhere and without us posting her story, that person may never be found. If you have an open heart and a desire to make a difference in a cat's life, maybe Caribou is the one for you - it's worth a visit to at least meet her, right? Caribou's DOB is approx. 6/1/18. Her ear tip that you see in her profile pics is the result of her spay at MNSnap. Presently, we are recommending older children only as a match for Caribou as little ones would not know how to read her signs. Dogs are an unknown. And, as you can see in one of her pics, she does fabulously with other cats. If you'd like to meet Caribou, please visit our website to schedule a visitation. www.ggohinc.com.

Story
Patches joined us here at GGOH after we helped a local farmer with an overpopulation problem; she came to us pregnant. Since intake, Patches has been slowly adjusting to the idea that indoor living is the way to go and that humans are not scary and just want to show her how good life can be. She's getting there. Patches will need an adopter or family that is willing to give her time and patience - to adjust and to trust. She's really a very sweet girl and she deserves the chance at a home of her own with her own people to love on her. She will approach for treats (i.e. - she is food motivated) and will stay near but picking up is not on her current list of likes. She really just needs someone to help her understand what a good live is all about. Do you have it within you to be Patches' human companion? Why not meet her and find out. Patches' DOB is approx. 8/17/2019. If you'd like to meet Patches, please go to our webpage to review our adoption process and requirements and to schedule an on-site visit. www.ggohinc.com

Story
If you'd like to meet Glamour, please go to our website and review our adoption policies and procedures and to schedule an on-site visit. www.ggohinc.com Glamour is one of our more shy cats here at GGOH. She is very sweet and just needs someone who has time, patience, and love to give. She is not a cat that is going to meet you at the door when you come for a visit, but she will be in the background watching you, waiting to see if you might notice her. She allows a slow hand and a gentle touch. We know that this beautiful girl has lots of warmth and love to give if someone would just take a chance on her and give her consistent attention and love. We do our best here at the rescue to give all of our pets tons of love, but it will never compare to the love that an owner can give. Please consider this sweetheart - we know she's not for everyone, but maybe, just maybe, she's for you. Glamour's approx. DOB is 10/1/2020.

Story
Meet Elemenopie! Are you ready to meet a truly unique kitty? Elemenopie is an adult female Tortie with a personality as big as her frame (and she’s one LARGE cat—just naturally huge, not overweight!). She’s the queen of relaxation and spends her days lounging around and gazing out the window, keeping an eye on the world outside. This sweet girl is a people-lover at heart. She’s content with the simple things in life: a cozy spot by the window, a steady supply of food, and the love of her favorite human. While she may need a little warm-up time to adjust to other cats, once she’s settled, she’s happy to coexist and generally just ignores them.Elemenopie is the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back, affectionate feline friend. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this special girl, she’s ready to bring her gentle, loving presence into your life.Paperwork? She’s got it all covered—she’s ready to go!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Spot & Little Girl are local owner surrenders due to the owners passing and family is unable to continue care long term for them. Spot is white with calico spots female. She may do best with her 'sister' Little Girl as they have been together for years, but it is not a requirement. She does not like to be held but will sit on your lap. She is friendly. Loves to be brushed.  She may hide initally as she adjust to a new home. She is more dominant than the other cats in the home but was able to integrate with 2 others over time that were younger than her.  They are good with cat savvy dogs and she doesn't mind kids as long as they don't try to carry her around.  If she sounds like the purfect addition to your home, please apply online https://mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org/ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 4, 2025, 12:08 pm

Story
Meet Sugar Pie!  This sweet girl is cautious at first but once she warms up she just wants to play!  A typical cat, she likes to climb inside bags or boxes (anyone a shopoholic?).  Sugar Pie likes to hunt things in motion – feathers, brooms, strings….even match box cards (anyone a shopoholic with small children?).  When Sugar Pie has exhausted herself hunting, she will curl up in her bed amongst her blankets and take a lil cat nap. Sugar Pie would make a wonderful addition to any family.  Don’t miss out on her! If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2205550##

Story
Hello - my name is Pebbles, and I was found in a barn as a little kitten with my brother Bam Bam. We both were brought to the sanctuary as young adults. I tend to be very shy, and I do not want to be held or petted very much, but everyone says I have THE most beautiful eyes!  I will show affection and will rub against my people's leg and get scratched when it is dinner time! My BFF here at the sanctuary is Sir Hiss-A-Lot (he is the handsome orange guy), and we would like to be adopted together. Pebbles has stage 3 of 4 kidney disease and gets sub Q fluids every other day to help her feel more comfortable. Contact Rescued Tails to find out more - 715-468-7784 or email woofda@centurytel.net  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 12:12 am

Story
Please read Gilligan's profile before proceeding with inquiries. Also, we ask that you visit our website to review our adoption process and requirements and schedule an on-site appointment (walk-in hours are also available). www.ggohinc.com Gilligan was brought to GGOH after a kind and caring woman took him in from the outdoors, concerned about the falling temperatures that were upon us. While he has been with us for quite some time, we're still hopeful that there is someone out there somewhere who understands cats like him and will give him a home to just be himself with no pressure to be something he's not. He needs a home where it is okay if he's not a lap cat, is mostly independent from humans, and is allowed to go along at his own pace. He would also do best in a home where there is at least one other cat for him to be social with. Gilligan has great potential but he will need an adopter that is understanding and patient, giving him ample time to adjust to his new surroundings. Due to his shy personality, we would recommend a home with no children. Gilligan is certainly not everyone's cup of tea but we know there is someone out there that understands and can accept him as he is. If you think you have a home/family that would be ideal for Gilligan, why not stop in and meet him - give him a chance to know what a family and a home full of love really feels like. Gilligan's DOB is 3/9/18.

Story
Venus arrived at GGOH with her litter mates after their momma arrived here at GGOH and we found her to be pregnant. Venus is one of our more challenging cats - she's shy and nervous around us humans but we know that she has it in her to be sweet and loving - it will just take time and patience. Due to her current social skills, our recommendation is that she not go to a home where there are young children - young ones would definitely not understand her. Over time, and once she is familiar with her new life and home, she may relinquish and be acceptable of being held (or may not), but we absolutely don't want her new life to start off on the wrong foot so please only inquire about her if you are okay with her personality type and can accept her for who she is. She's great with other cats and would make a wonderful companion to a perhaps lonely feline. Also of mention is that Venus is one of our FIP kitten warriors - she battled the beast and won. We can give you a more detailed picture of what her treatment was when you visit but just let it be known, she has a long worry-free life ahead of her. We don't like to dwell on this aspect of her care too much, but we also like to be up-front about it as we're not the kind of rescue that withholds or hides information from our prospective adopters. Everything is laid on the table so you can make an informed decision. Venus's DOB is 7/23/19. As we've said, Venus is one of our more challenging cats and even though she's had a few bumps in the road, we 100% believe she is worthy of love and acceptance and know her special someone is out there somewhere - could it be you? If you're interested in meeting Venus, we ask that you first visit our website to review our adoption process and requirements and then, to schedule an on-site appointment. www.ggohinc.com

Story
Rita is a shy young lady who came to us from a farm where an over-population problem was imminent if help wasn't received soon. She is a curious cat, taking her time to observe new situations before approaching and investigating. She accepts pets and affection as long as you go slow; she's learning to trust and has been progressing just as we had hoped she would. Rita would be a great addition to any home as long as the new family is willing to give her time and space to acclimate at her pace. Her ideal setting, however, would be with one individual that could give her consistent attention and one where the home is somewhat quiet. She does great with other cats. Dogs are unknown as we've only observed her watching them from a comfortable distance. She loves treats - they are the key to heart! Rita really needs someone to reach out to her and let her know that she is loved and it's okay to go slow. Could that someone be you? Rita's DOB is approx. 3/24/2020. (P.S. - The photos of Rita are of her sitting in one of our internal room windows waiting for treats to be passed through to her. It's her thing. She really loves her treats!) If you'd like to meet Rita, hop over to our website @ www.ggohinc.com to review our adoption process and requirements and then schedule an appointment for a visit.
