Story
Rin came to GGOH from a private rescuer in Minnesota when she reached out for a little help. Rin was a stray so we have no previous history on her. DOB is approximately 1/1/2019. Rin has a quieter, shy personality; with the right home, she will be a great companion. She loves to play and snuggle with other cats, is active and healthy. She has a beautiful dilute calico coat that she keeps neat and clean. While Rin is very cat friendly, she is still quite reserved around humans - when meeting her, she generally will let you near her, but will move away if you attempt to pet her. She's worth the effort to get to know and has great potential, but it will take time for her to trust someone new. If you have the willingness to try and let her adjust at her own pace, she might be a great fit for you. We have not directly introduced Rin to dogs, but she has been in the room as they've walked by and she paid no attention to them whatsoever. Our guess is that in a home environment, she will likely act the same and over time, perhaps even become best buds with them. As Rin is still quite people reserved, we recommend older children only for her as youngsters often do not understand a cat's signals and Rin would not be too happy with a child rushing at her. To meet Rin, please visit our webpage to review our adoption process and requirements and to schedule an on-site appointment. https://www.ggohinc.com/adoption-process-cats

Story
Caribou is a beautiful calico/tabby mix who was picked up off the side of a freeway with her two kittens. The finder took Caribou to MNSnap as a TNR cat but after seeing how good she was with her kittens and the potential she had to becoming a house cat/pet, the finder reached out to us to take her rather than return her to where she was found. She has been very shy and a bit nervous since she joined us but we know she has great potential if someone would just give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and safe. We know that she is not the type of cat that everyone is looking for as many want instant gratification cats but we whole-heartedly believe that her person is out there somewhere and without us posting her story, that person may never be found. If you have an open heart and a desire to make a difference in a cat's life, maybe Caribou is the one for you - it's worth a visit to at least meet her, right? Caribou's DOB is approx. 6/1/18. Her ear tip that you see in her profile pics is the result of her spay at MNSnap. Presently, we are recommending older children only as a match for Caribou as little ones would not know how to read her signs. Dogs are an unknown. And, as you can see in one of her pics, she does fabulously with other cats. If you'd like to meet Caribou, please visit our website to schedule a visitation. www.ggohinc.com.

Story
Patches joined us here at GGOH after we helped a local farmer with an overpopulation problem; she came to us pregnant. Since intake, Patches has been slowly adjusting to the idea that indoor living is the way to go and that humans are not scary and just want to show her how good life can be. She's getting there. Patches will need an adopter or family that is willing to give her time and patience - to adjust and to trust. She's really a very sweet girl and she deserves the chance at a home of her own with her own people to love on her. She will approach for treats (i.e. - she is food motivated) and will stay near but picking up is not on her current list of likes. She really just needs someone to help her understand what a good live is all about. Do you have it within you to be Patches' human companion? Why not meet her and find out. Patches' DOB is approx. 8/17/2019. If you'd like to meet Patches, please go to our webpage to review our adoption process and requirements and to schedule an on-site visit. www.ggohinc.com

Story
If you'd like to meet Glamour, please go to our website and review our adoption policies and procedures and to schedule an on-site visit. www.ggohinc.com Glamour is one of our more shy cats here at GGOH. She is very sweet and just needs someone who has time, patience, and love to give. She is not a cat that is going to meet you at the door when you come for a visit, but she will be in the background watching you, waiting to see if you might notice her. She allows a slow hand and a gentle touch. We know that this beautiful girl has lots of warmth and love to give if someone would just take a chance on her and give her consistent attention and love. We do our best here at the rescue to give all of our pets tons of love, but it will never compare to the love that an owner can give. Please consider this sweetheart - we know she's not for everyone, but maybe, just maybe, she's for you. Glamour's approx. DOB is 10/1/2020.

Maeve is a beautiful calico girl who is friendly, playful, and affectionate. Story
Callie is a five year old spayed female. She lives peacefully with three other cats. She is beautiful. She doesn't like to be picked up. She loves to play. She likes it when you sit on the floor to pet her, I wonder if she was dropped as a kitten and doesn't like to be high. She pees in her box, but she does not poop in the box. She always poops in the same place on the wood floor. I believe she doesn't like the texture of litter on her paws. I have tried every type of litter. Unfortunately, I have a business in my home and her pooping when clients are coming and going is just not working anymore. It's really not a big deal to pick this up everyday, I just can't have people in the house with this situation. She scratches the post, not furniture. She is good in every other way. I wish she was compatible with our household because she is a sweetheart.

Story
Marianna is a very sweet, petite, affectionate girl! She's raised her 3 babies so she's ready to find a family of her own now. She's learning to enjoy the cat tree, but seems to prefer the window ledge. She enjoys hanging out with her peole also. She's not very interested in toys right now, but that could also be because she she still has her kittens to play with.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please submit an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2093364##

Story
Hello - my name is Pebbles, and I was found in a barn as a little kitten with my brother Bam Bam. We both were brought to the sanctuary as young adults. I tend to be very shy, and I do not want to be held or petted very much, but everyone says I have THE most beautiful eyes!  I will show affection and will rub against my people's leg and get scratched when it is dinner time! My BFF here at the sanctuary is Sir Hiss-A-Lot (he is the handsome orange guy), and we would like to be adopted together. Pebbles has stage 3 of 4 kidney disease and gets sub Q fluids every other day to help her feel more comfortable. Story
Venus arrived at GGOH with her litter mates after their momma arrived here at GGOH and we found her to be pregnant. Venus is one of our more challenging cats - she's shy and nervous around us humans but we know that she has it in her to be sweet and loving - it will just take time and patience. Due to her current social skills, our recommendation is that she not go to a home where there are young children - young ones would definitely not understand her. Over time, and once she is familiar with her new life and home, she may relinquish and be acceptable of being held (or may not), but we absolutely don't want her new life to start off on the wrong foot so please only inquire about her if you are okay with her personality type and can accept her for who she is. She's great with other cats and would make a wonderful companion to a perhaps lonely feline. Also of mention is that Venus is one of our FIP kitten warriors - she battled the beast and won. We can give you a more detailed picture of what her treatment was when you visit but just let it be known, she has a long worry-free life ahead of her. We don't like to dwell on this aspect of her care too much, but we also like to be up-front about it as we're not the kind of rescue that withholds or hides information from our prospective adopters. Everything is laid on the table so you can make an informed decision. Venus's DOB is 7/23/19. As we've said, Venus is one of our more challenging cats and even though she's had a few bumps in the road, we 100% believe she is worthy of love and acceptance and know her special someone is out there somewhere - could it be you? If you're interested in meeting Venus, we ask that you first visit our website to review our adoption process and requirements and then, to schedule an on-site appointment. www.ggohinc.com

Story
Rita is a shy young lady who came to us from a farm where an over-population problem was imminent if help wasn't received soon. She is a curious cat, taking her time to observe new situations before approaching and investigating. She accepts pets and affection as long as you go slow; she's learning to trust and has been progressing just as we had hoped she would. Rita would be a great addition to any home as long as the new family is willing to give her time and space to acclimate at her pace. Her ideal setting, however, would be with one individual that could give her consistent attention and one where the home is somewhat quiet. She does great with other cats. Dogs are unknown as we've only observed her watching them from a comfortable distance. She loves treats - they are the key to heart! Rita really needs someone to reach out to her and let her know that she is loved and it's okay to go slow. Could that someone be you? Rita's DOB is approx. 3/24/2020. (P.S. - The photos of Rita are of her sitting in one of our internal room windows waiting for treats to be passed through to her. It's her thing. She really loves her treats!) Story
Burt joined the GGOH family after we were contacted by another rescue that was working on a farm cat over-population project - with so many in need, we couldn't say "no". Burt is a shy fella, but gentle and receptive to human attention - what he needs most is a person/family that can be consistent with their interactions with him yet give him time and space (on his terms) to adjust to a new home and environment. Burt hasn't really been around children as he tends to watch visitors from a distance but with his gentle nature, we suspect he would do fine with children over the age of 5. Well-behaved dogs don't seem to phase Burt and is totally fine with other cats. Burt came to GGOH with his siblings, Ernie, Rita & Jake. Burt's DOB is approx. 3/24/2020. (Side note, Burt's not-so-happy face is just the way this fella looks and we think it's kind of cute!) If you'd like to meet Burt to consider him for adoption, please jump to our website (www.ggohinc.com) to review our adoption policies and process and to schedule an appointment for an on-site visit.
