Story
Clever Cleo is a sprite little gal. She is curious and playful. Always the first to run up to greet you. CLEO has had her surgery and vetting. After multiple testing it has come to light that she is Feline Leukemia positive. She has no signs of her diagnosis .We feel that these sweet little felines deserve a normal happy loving home and we will not let this prevent them from finding one. We are willing to support both emotionally and medically if and when the situation presents itself. If you are feeling that you have always wanted to do more for the homeless kitties ....here is a great chance to show some love and share it with these precious felines. She is ready for her new life in a home of her very own. She has 2 sisters both just as adorable and also tested positive . Please text or call 540-419-5335 to set up your meet and greet today!

Story
Meet Patches – a sweet, shy, yet loving calico cat looking for her forever home. At 3 and a half years old, Patches has a gentle spirit combined with a playful side that shines through once she feels comfortable. Although she’s a bit skittish at first, her affectionate nature and quiet charm make her the perfect companion for a patient family. Patches is house trained and up to date on her shots. While she’s best suited for a home without dogs, she gets along well with older kids and other cats. Although not altered yet, this procedure is included in her adoption fee if you choose to use our local clinic services. After a long time in foster care, Patches is ready to settle into a loving home where she can truly flourish. If you're looking for a gentle, cuddly friend with a playful heart, Patches might just be the perfect match for you.

Story
Bug was given to us by a family member who could no longer keep her. We have had her for almost 3 years and while we love her, we just are no longer able to keep her ourselves. She is a very typical calico when she wants affection, she will ask for it and then when she doesn’t she can be very independent. When she wants attention she is very cuddly and sleeps in bed with us and is always in whatever room we are in. She loves being around people and being the center of attention. She can be a bit spicy at times so she may be better in a home with older children and adults. However, she has had no problems with our crawling baby. We would prefer her to be the only cat in her new home. She is good with dogs.

Story
Meet Payton, a beautiful calico girl about 2 - 3 years old. Payton was found on a blustery, frigid night, living behind a shopping center, living in a box with leaves and a blanket. Once in foster care, she slept in her warm, fluffy bed for 3 days straight, not wanting to do anything but rest, perhaps because she knew she was able to finally sleep in safety.Payton is loving and friendly. She currently cries out and meows, almost in a panic, when she wants attention or feels alone and would truly be a great companion cat. She is not a fan of kibble, but instead loves a nice plate of canned food and can literally spend hours looking out the window, almost as though she is counting her blessings for being inside and not outside in the elements. She does not appear to like other cats, so she must be an only cat. Payton will be available for adoption on Christmas eve. Payton is dewormed, spayed, receive FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay to re-register every year because we have done it for you! Iterested? Please let us know at GoodMews22@aol.com or fill out a digital application. https://submit.jotform.com/221029453063044 January 9, 2025, 12:06 am

Story
PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion.  Please note these are not pedigree animals and we have no way of attesting if any of them are hypoallergenic and as such cannot adopt to homes with allergies. ##2275562##

Story
Sunny 6475 is a gorgeous 11-years-young gal. Sunny is a very affectionate cat who hasn't gotten enough attention lately. She appears very shy at first but becomes very fond of people once she gets used to them. She likes head scratches and chin rubs, being brushed regularly, baby soft blankets, and having a throne where she will watch Wheel of Fortune/Jeopardy/any news broadcasts at night with you until she falls asleep (another favorite activity). Sunny dislikes loud noises aimed at her and being moved without her permission; she is a queen after all! Time would need to be dedicated before she lets anyone pick her up and she is not used to other cats so having her own space is important. Sunny would love to end up with someone who can give her the time and attention that she has been missing. She has been in the same home since she was a kitten. She grew up with two boys who were around 9 years old at the time of her adoption. Due to circumstances, not of her own doing, she needs to find a new accommodation. She just got a clean bill of health from the vet. Like all Last Chance kitties, she is strictly indoors and has been indoors her entire life. She is a typical calico gal; she loves on her terms! Her ideal home, now that she is more mature, is quiet and low traffic. She is seeking an adopter looking to share space with a beautiful gal. Sunny weighs 12 pounds. She is currently being fostered in northern Virginia. Meet and greets may be set up with approved applicants. Submit your application https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/CAT-Adoption-Request-Form-1.pdf to dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with the subject line Sunny the cat.
