PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion.  Please note these are not pedigree animals and we have no way of attesting if any of them are hypoallergenic and as such cannot adopt to homes with allergies. ##2275562##

Story
Sunny 6475 is a gorgeous 11-years-young gal. Sunny is a very affectionate cat who hasn't gotten enough attention lately. She appears very shy at first but becomes very fond of people once she gets used to them. She likes head scratches and chin rubs, being brushed regularly, baby soft blankets, and having a throne where she will watch Wheel of Fortune/Jeopardy/any news broadcasts at night with you until she falls asleep (another favorite activity). Sunny dislikes loud noises aimed at her and being moved without her permission; she is a queen after all! Time would need to be dedicated before she lets anyone pick her up and she is not used to other cats so having her own space is important. Sunny would love to end up with someone who can give her the time and attention that she has been missing. She has been in the same home since she was a kitten. She grew up with two boys who were around 9 years old at the time of her adoption. Due to circumstances, not of her own doing, she needs to find a new accommodation. She just got a clean bill of health from the vet. Like all Last Chance kitties, she is strictly indoors and has been indoors her entire life. She is a typical calico gal; she loves on her terms! Her ideal home, now that she is more mature, is quiet and low traffic. She is seeking an adopter looking to share space with a beautiful gal. Sunny weighs 12 pounds. She is currently being fostered in northern Virginia. Meet and greets may be set up with approved applicants. Submit your application https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/CAT-Adoption-Request-Form-1.pdf to dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with the subject line Sunny the cat.

Story
Purrisa is a very lovable older cat, she's very shy at first but once she opens up all she wants is attention. We just had a baby about 5 months ago and even though I've been trying really hard to give her the attention she needs to be happy, I just don't have the bandwidth to balance her, the baby, and my return to work. I really want to find her a loving home, she is pretty much a perfect cat and she deserves to be around an affectionate family. About her personality: -She is very talkative, if anything is wrong she'll pretty much point you to it, like if her water is low, or if her litter really needs to be changed. -She is very affectionate but not a lap cat, she doesn't like being picked up but she won't hurt you if you do. -She doesn't scratch up furniture, she also won't scratch you unless she's overstimulated -She is not super active, she loves to find a comfy spot and just curl up and relax. A very sleepy cat.

Story
Bug was given to us by a family member who could no longer keep her. We have had her for almost 3 years and while we love her, we just are no longer able to keep her ourselves. She is a very typical calico when she wants affection, she will ask for it and then when she doesn’t she can be very independent. When she wants attention she is very cuddly and sleeps in bed with us and is always in whatever room we are in. She loves being around people and being the center of attention. She can be a bit spicy at times so she may be better in a home with older children and adults. However, she has had no problems with our crawling baby. We would prefer her to be the only cat in her new home. She is good with dogs.
