Story
Patches came to our house as a stray. She had a litter of kittens somewhere. When it got cold I brought her in. She was so very happy and loved everyone! Our young small dog was not home for about 4 days. I can’t get the dog to behave around Patches. Patches does not ask to go out and uses the litter box. Patches just wants a loving indoor family.

Story
Hello! Jenna is extremely affectionate and low maintenance. She does not get along well with other cats or dogs, but she is always looking for human contact and she definitely loves to be loved. Jenna was a rescue, so we aren't sure of her exact age but she is on the older side. I am currently taking care of Jenna for a friend who couldn't' keep her, but unfortunately my daughters and I are very allergic to cats. We are looking to re-home for no charge.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Mosaic is a stunning white cat with gentle touches of chocolate and caramel. This friendly girl has a big heart and loves being petted, offering sweet head butts to show her affection. When she’s happy, she purrs contentedly, filling the room with warmth.Mosaic enjoys exploring the cat room, always curious about her surroundings and other cats. She gets along well with her fellow feline companions at the shelter and seems to be at ease in their company. Her clipped ear tells the story of her being part of a community cat program. The woman who once care for these cats, however, could no longer do so after developing dementia. If you’re looking for a curious, affectionate companion, Mosaic might be the perfect fit. Fill out an application and come meet her — she’s ready to find her forever home!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    December 4, 2024, 5:24 am

Story
Bertie is a playful, curious, and clever kitten with a calm and sweet presence that endears her to everyone she meets. Whether she’s interacting with a 9-year-old or a 92-year-old, Bertie approaches all humans with the same gentle and friendly demeanor. She’s equally social with other cats, making her a wonderful addition to a multi-pet household. This smart little explorer loves crinkle toys, feathered toys, and fake mice. She’s always one of the first to investigate new puzzles or toys, showing off her sharp mind and playful spirit. Bertie also enjoys climbing and scratching, so a home with cat trees and scratching posts will be her playground. While Bertie adores playtime with her siblings and tumbles through kitten antics, she’s just as content sitting quietly with her mama, soaking up the calm moments. Her even-tempered and gentle nature makes her a versatile companion who can adapt to both active and relaxed environments. Bertie is incredibly clean, has no litterbox issues, and keeps herself well-groomed. Her alert and curious gaze reveals a clever mind at work, making her the brightest star of her litter. If you’re looking for a kitten who’s both sweet and smart, playful yet calm, Bertie is ready to bring her charm into your home. You can apply to adopt her on our website. At the time you are seeing this post, this cat is still available for adoption. But please know that we may be working on multiple applications already, and any one of them could be approved at any time. Please READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION and complete an adoption application if you are interested in any of our animals. The application can be found at https://greendogsunleashed.org. If you send an inquiry to ask if the cat is still available, or just tell us you are interested, your inquiry will not be answered. FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. We can do NOTHING without that. */*/* PLEASE NOTE: We will email you if additional information is needed, so please keep an eye on your inbox and spam folders. */*/* Young kittens will receive age-appropriate vaccines and will be spayed/neutered before adoption. Adopters may be required to provide additional boosters and a rabies vaccine. Future annual vaccines, testing, and healthcare are REQUIRED, and will be the financial responsibility of the adopter. Please note you must submit an application, be approved, and submit a refundable hold deposit before a meet and greet will be scheduled. You can fill out an application here: https://greendogsunleashed.org/adopt While we do allow out-of-state adoptions, the adopter must be able to travel to Charlottesville, Virginia, and meet in person at an agreed-upon time to take their cat home. GDU does ask for a minimum adoption donation of $125.00 for cats. This minimum donation does not cover all expenses as we are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum donation includes age-appropriate vaccines and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying if the animal is medically sound and is unable to undergo surgery. This minimum donation does not even begin to cover each animal's expenses while in rescue, but does go directly towards vet care for our rescue animals. ##2208811##

Story
Pierre is a 3 month old kitten. Very sociable and great with dogs and new people! At the shelter he was around other cats so I think he would be good with them but I’m not sure. He does have watery eyes but after multiple vet appointments they said it is not due to illness and will clear up as he gets older. He’s very playful and cuddly and makes for a great companion ! Due to landlord issues I have to rehome him unfortunately but he’s gotten along great with my dog and adjusted very quickly. I have all this medical history and vet papers that the shelter gave me. He is up to date on all his shots and is ready to go!
