Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Mosaic is a stunning white cat with gentle touches of chocolate and caramel. This friendly girl has a big heart and loves being petted, offering sweet head butts to show her affection. When she’s happy, she purrs contentedly, filling the room with warmth.Mosaic enjoys exploring the cat room, always curious about her surroundings and other cats. She gets along well with her fellow feline companions at the shelter and seems to be at ease in their company. Her clipped ear tells the story of her being part of a community cat program. The woman who once care for these cats, however, could no longer do so after developing dementia. If you’re looking for a curious, affectionate companion, Mosaic might be the perfect fit. Fill out an application and come meet her — she’s ready to find her forever home!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    November 7, 2024, 5:54 am

Story
Who doesn’t love a sweet black cat with 4 white prissy paws and a white mustache. Tootsie is a sweet girl who I think would do best in a quiet home. She takes a little while to warm up to you but after that she is yours. She is litter mates with Prissy and Sissy. She is current on her vaccinations, micro chipped and spayed. She is FELV and FIV negative. Her adoption fee is $100. Please consider giving these girls a chance to have a loving home. . Story
Hooduck (nickname Ducky) is a petite black cat who is a little timid, but once she gets to know you, is a real purr machine! She definitely likes to hide out until she gets to know you, but with some time will come around and be a real sweetheart like she is with her foster mom. We think a quiet home with no kids would suit her best. She is currently being fostered with Rohan but she seems to be a little intimidated by his size and outgoing personality. We really think she would prefer her own space and family. This darling little girl is already spayed, up to date on her shots, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and is microchipped and treated for fleas and ticks. She's a special little thing and we'd love her to have her own special family! For more information, please call the Bedford Humane Society at 540-586-6100, or go to https://www.bhsva.org/adoptables to fill out an adoption application.

Story
Sissy's story as we think we know it today: Sissy was raised by humans as a young kitten then was tossed outside to survive on her own. Sissy became pregnant at an early age and raised her babies outside. No one knows what happened to this litter. Once again pregnant and on her own, a finder took her in to care for her and let her raise her babies. Due to getting pregnant at such a young age, Sissy's body never had the chance to develop into an adult size. Sissy is no bigger than a six month old kitten weighing only 5 pounds, half the size of an adult cat. Sissy once again has been tossed away from the finder to find herself taken in by a rescue. Sissy is so confused that she is not sure to hiss or purr when being touched. She is not at all feral but she does not know who to trust. Sissy needs a home where she can build her confidence and be a kitten that she never has had the chance to be. Sissy raised her last litter and probably will be great with a calm adult cat. Sissy has been dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Sissy has also been spayed. If you can open up your home to foster or adopt, please visit our website at www.bhsva.org to fill out foster application or an adoption application.
