With a voice that could rival a diva and a passion for grooming her human subjects, she's always ready to make her presence known. Food-motivated and full of energy, she's a whirlwind of playful antics and unexpected nips. Trainable? Maybe. Entertaining? Absolutely. Just be prepared for a little sass and the occasional love bite!  Taylor enjoys watching the goings-on outside her foster room window. She also loves to snuggle up close at nap time. She prefers to drink water by finding a faucet with a drip, but she's never messy. She is very independent and low maintenance - good at keeping herself entertained.  According to her foster, Taylor is a bit of a nut - a funny girl with LOTS of purr-sonality! Pajamas is a beautiful DSH calico female born approximately 7/29/2023. She has the prettiest big round eyes! Pajamas was a friendly neighborhood stray that gave birth to 4 precious kittens in the garage of a lady that had been feeding her. She was a wonderful mom and now her babies are big enough to venture out into the world and everyone is looking for their forever homes. Pajamas is timid, but very sweet. She like chin scritches, body pets, and belly rubs, but she’s 50/50 on head pets. She’s been very busy raising her babies and has played with them on occasion, but hasn’t engaged much with toys. Pajamas would do best in a quiet home where she can get her groove back now that those pesky kids are out of the nest. Pajamas is microchipped and currently in a foster home. Orchid is a lovely DSH Calico female born approximately 5/12/2024. Orchid was rescued by a Good Samaritan who found her hanging around outside their house. They started feeding her, and then she just never left! She was eventually brought inside to foster with the hopes of finding her a forever home. Orchid is a really sweet scaredy-cat. She doesn’t like loud noises or kids. She takes a minute to warm up. She needs a loving home with less traffic just to relax and chill. She is hyper when she wants to be, but very playful. Orchid is fostered with another girl kitty, Cato, and they have become best friends. They love to play and groom each other. These two are inseparable and can’t wait to fill their new home with double the love, purrs, and playful antics! RHS Adoption Process and Requirements Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative. Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. Home Visit.  If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We’ll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat. Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you’re interested in.  Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Butterscotch came from a feeding colony. Rescuers believe she was dumped because she was so sweet-natured and always come out when meals were served. She spent her life outside until someone decided to give her a chance at being a beloved house cat. She was brought into foster care because of her gentleness. Around new humans, Butterscotch is a shy and quiet girl. But, here is the most unusual thing about Butterscotch: she is a natural babysitter around tiny kittens. She will love and nurture nursing kittens and actually takes turn caring for them to give relief to their mama cat. We suspect her mothering nature stems from her time in the feeding colony, where young female cats often care for nurslings that are part of the community. Despite a luxurious, pampered life indoors, Butterscotch is still cautious. She always had to be careful and on the lookout for predators when she was on her own. While she might look a little worried, she is very gentle and her foster family can hold her. Meet Sugar 💕 We are looking for a loving home for our sweet 2-year-old cat, who has been a cherished part of our family. Due to an upcoming move, we are unfortunately unable to take her with us, and we’re hoping to find a new family who will appreciate her gentle nature. She is wonderful with children, including our 5-year-old son, and has always been kind and patient with him. She also gets along well with other cats, although she isn’t particularly fond of our dog, she doesn’t show aggression toward him. She’s a loving companion who deserves a home where she can continue to thrive and be a cherished member of the family.

Im needing to rehome Carley because over the past year my schedule has gotten so busy I can’t give him the proper care as he just stays in my room all day and i’m home for a couple hours a week. He is such a sweet and loving cat and in another circumstance I would go through any lengths to keep him. I believe this is the best choice as he is an older cat and he deserves all the love and attention he needs. He does not destroy furniture but I think he may be prone to UTIS. He eats Purino pro indoor, not expensive cat food. I have all the supplies I just need to find him a new home, that maybe I can visit sometimes. Thank you.
