LOVES TO PLAY WITH HAIR & HANDS OR TUG ON YOUR CLOTHES  DOB 6/23/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Lena, and I’m a very sweet, friendly, and beautiful calico gal. I can be independent like a typical calico, but then again, I’m very fond of Foster Meowmy and like to play with her hair and hands or else tug on her clothes! I’m one of the #streetwise-six, who got our name because, when we were about a month old, some really cruel person dumped my litter of six along with our momma in the middle of the street. Since Momma was frantic for our safety, instinct told her to bring us to the shopping center to ask for help. Sure enough, a Good Samaritan rescued us and eventually got us to our foster home. Momma Nala, Simba, Pooh, Chase, Curry, Dolly, and I have all thrived in our foster home. We kits tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I get along great with the cat-friendly dogs and resident adult cats, and Foster Meowmy makes sure that her small kids treat us gently and lovingly. Now I’m ready for my forever home. Description Black, Orange and White (medium fur) Female Calico with white paws. Personality Pepper is a very mild-mannered, well behaved, litter box trained cat. She is extremely polite and affectionate and a perfect indoor kitty. She prefers to let you know when she wants to be held and if you sit in a chair she happily jumps into your lap for affection. Pepper is patient and has a gentle nature. She can seem shy when adapting to a new place, but quickly will begin to happily explore. Background Pepper was found behind a garage parking lot with no shelter, food or water. She was extremely thin, malnourished and very friendly, even to a stranger. Her finder left her food and water and then returned two more days to feed her. On the third day they brought a cat carrier and she walked right into the carrier. She must have either been lost or dumped. They posted her as a found stray and tried to find her home but no one claimed her. She was spayed at The Greater Good on April 29th, dewormed, vaccinated, and given flea treatment. Pepper will make a wonderful pet for a small family with older children or a single person or couple looking for a wonderful companion. Hope was found on the side of a busy road.  She was only 4-5 weeks old.  She was  d iagnosed with blunt force trauma to the spine.    She went for a second opinion  to  the   only board certified cat vet in  Texas .  He recommended hydrotherapy and Reiki.  We  believed  she would walk and hoped that she would gain control of her bladder.   For  5 months ,   t wice a day for 30 minutes  sessions , she went into the water and  worked hard .   Her back leg  muscles grew stronger.   B oth of her legs  move d . Her tail move d from side to side, but  w ould n’ t lift it up.   Rei ki kept her spirits high .   Sadly, after another  vet  consultation , it was determined  she has plateaued and w on’t  regain her ability to walk or control her bladder or bowels.    She is a very loving and affectionate cat.  Her special needs don’t hold her back.  She scoots around at the speed of light.  She can climb a cat tree and loves to go on walks outside in her stroller.  She loves to chase the laser light and balls.  She also likes to watch the  world   pass by  while  looking out  the window .    She is cat and dog friendly.  She never meets a stranger.   When you pick her up, she immediately leans back asking for loving pets under her chin and neck.   She is looking for that special person to love with all her heart and take care of her special needs  furever .   Hope is located in Houston, TX and we will consider transport for the right person. Don’t let the three legs fool you. Caramello will outrun, out-climb, and boss around all her foster friends. She absolutely loves spending times on her cat tree by the window, observing the world and watching out for visitors. She takes some time to warm up to new people but once she does, she’ll come when called and spend lots of time cuddling with you. You see, she came from the streets. She was a just a young kitten trying to survive on her own. She was brought into a clinic to be spayed where it was discovered her leg had subsided and injury that left the nerve severed and needed to be amputated. She also had a severe injury to her tail that required it to be amputated too. We will never know what happened to her but we know it will never happen again! She has settled into the good life indoors!!! She’s great with other cats and will introduce herself first to them too. Despite her resting grump face, she’s a happy cat that has faced the hard world and still learned to love people. She is 7 months old and fully vetted!! After much thought and consideration, I made the difficult decision to find a new loving home for my beloved cat, Amy. As I prepare for a significant life change, moving from Houston to Chicago for a new career opportunity, I had to face the reality that this move might not be the best environment for Amy. The decision to rehome her comes from a place of love and responsibility. As I anticipate the bustling city life in Chicago and the long working hours that my new job demands, I worry that I won't be able to provide her the attention and care she deserves. GOOFY, SASSY FELLA DOB 8/24/19 Howdy everyone! I’m Godzilla, a goofy, sassy, curious, and energetic brown tabby fella who’s proud of my monster-name. I may be a big boy like Godzilla, but I’m a sweet marshmallow at heart. I absolutely LOVE people and the cuddles that we share. I get along great with the other gentle cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I’m accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I’d probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids. During Tropical Storm Imelda, my sister Mothra and I, the #monster-duo, were found as orphan kittens with no momma in sight. My foster mom heard my crying on a driveway, and she says that I’ve continued to let everyone know my opinions ever since. I was the runt of my litter and was bottle-fed by my foster pawrents. Boy did I love my bottle! Those “nursing” sessions ended up being a great time to bond with my humans and probably explain why I’m so sociable with people. Foster Meowmy describes me as “the most wonderful of kittens who deserves an A+ home.” Next to a pile of debris in the Lindale area, I was found in the street as an orphan with no momma in sight. I fit right into my foster home along with several other rescued kittens who were my same age. I have so much fun playing with my surrogate siblings.
