Lucy' s Bio Estimated DOB 1/20/2024 I am sweet, calm and very loving young cat. I still have the spirit and disposition of a kitten and get along well with sweet cats. I was found roaming around a cat-lover yard by myself. I was just looking for food when I found a nice person that took me inside to protect me from the storm. Nobody has claimed me as their pet and I didn't have a microchip to find my owner. I am fully vetted now ( spayed, vaccinated, microchiped and neg/neg for FIVand FeLV) and searching for my forever family.

I'm a "bicolor," which means that I'm mostly white with blue and cream patches on my head, back, and tail. I’m what’s called a “polydactyl” because I have more toes on my front paws than most kitties. I’m very petite, and although I’m full grown, I’m the size of a seven-month old kitten. My future foster meowmy was on a TNR mission when she found me, friendly but pregnant and living paw-to-mouth in a feral-cat colony at a very low-income immigrant apartment complex in southwest Houston. Thank heavens Foster Meowmy scooped me up and brought me home with her to foster me. I’m adjusting well to my safe, secure indoor life with brimming food and water bowls, climate control, and toys to play with. However, trying to survive at that feeding station had been a very bad experience because I’d had to fight for food amongst the intact toms. So I’m understandably fearful of other cats and need to be an only-cat child in my forever home. LOVES TO PLAY WITH HAIR & HANDS OR TUG ON YOUR CLOTHES  DOB 6/23/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Lena, and I’m a very sweet, friendly, and beautiful calico gal. I can be independent like a typical calico, but then again, I’m very fond of Foster Meowmy and like to play with her hair and hands or else tug on her clothes! I’m one of the #streetwise-six, who got our name because, when we were about a month old, some really cruel person dumped my litter of six along with our momma in the middle of the street. Since Momma was frantic for our safety, instinct told her to bring us to the shopping center to ask for help. Sure enough, a Good Samaritan rescued us and eventually got us to our foster home. Momma Nala, Simba, Pooh, Chase, Curry, Dolly, and I have all thrived in our foster home. We kits tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I get along great with the cat-friendly dogs and resident adult cats, and Foster Meowmy makes sure that her small kids treat us gently and lovingly. Now I’m ready for my forever home. Although we’re available separately, it would be the cat’s meow if you’d consider adopting me with another one of the #streetwise-six. Two’s more fun than one, and we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Riki was a stray kitten that wondered into my life. He is roughly 6-7months old. He is super playful and loves to lay on legs. He is still learning boundaries with affectionate and growing out of the kitten biting phase. He does great with my dog, but has grown territorial with my cat. Riki would love a home where he can play in tunnels and chase toys all day. When done with all that playing can cuddle on the couch or bed. Riki would do well with another cat if properly introduced which I do not have the space to do so.

Boba is the sweetest boy with a troubled past! He has had a very rough life in his short 2 years! We don’t know much about his life before coming to us at Furry Friends animal aid but we know it wasn’t great. When Boba was surrendered to a high kill shelter in October of 2022 the person who surrendered him stated that Boba was a stray on the streets in Houston his first year of life and then the person brought him inside only to decide they could not handle as many cats as they had. So poor Boba was taken to the high kill shelter where he was put straight onto death row! Luckily FFAA stepped in and pulled a miracle out of the hat 30 minutes before his dead line! Boba was terrified rightfully so! He was so afraid of everyone and everything at the pound he would not let anyone touch him! Boba is safely with his foster family now and he has let them know that he is not a mean or bad boy at all!! He is the sweetest, goofy boy when given the chance! Because of all he has gone though it takes him longer than most cats to warm up to new people and places. As of now his foster mom can pick up cuddle love and give belly rubs but other humans, he knows can pet him and strangers cause him to hide. Boba has so much love to give to the person who will take the time and allow him to adjust to new environments and people in his own time. It took a few weeks for Boba to appreciate any human contact without flinching and being afraid. He spent a month in his kennel decompressing from the trauma of his past and adjusting to his new foster home. He showed he is much more comfortable around other cats than he is people but started to “talk” to foster mom at night when the house was quiet and FM was trying to sleep! She didn’t mind though these conversations helped boba adjust and got him ready to come out of the kennel! Once he openly accepted touch and sought out human contact, the doors to Boba’s kennel started being left open. After some coaxing and reassurance from the resident cats Boba was free in the bed room! He went into hiding but as always came out for food! And after a few days surprised everyone with the amount of love he could not wait to share! Boba climbed into bed with his foster mom… curled up next to her and allowed her to pet him all over and even touch the belly!! Toe beans and belly were all presented to foster mom to touch! Now if foster mom lays down in bed he comes up for cuddles and he is sleeping in the bed when no one is around. He still chooses not to leave the bedroom very often and has made his kennel his safe space. If anything becomes to much for him or he just wants a break from the other cats he will go into his kennel and enjoy some alone time. He adores other cats greets them with chirps and coo’s but is a submissive boy if the other cat is to dominate Boba will hide instead of standing up for himself. Being submissive he should be good with any other cats; the people will just need to make sure Boba doesn’t get bullied. He is going to need a very special adopter who understands he is going to take TIME and he cannot be rushed into socializing or big changes. We have allowed him to move at his own pace, following his lead and comfort level in his progress. Which is what he needs and only adopters who can commit to him and this process will be considered.
