ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Carmel has the cutest freckles on her nose which makes her dilute calico markings even more beautiful! She is sweet and friendly so it’s hard to believe someone left her behind. She took up residence outside a rescue friends sons apartment but after lots of searching for an owner it was determined she was homeless. Lucky for her she picked an apartment door where the resident loved kitties so she is enjoying being spoiled until she can find a new forever home! If you would like to meet Carmel, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Story
Every now and again we come across a cat who isn’t like other cats, a cat who doesn’t fit any of the molds and whose behavior leaves us puzzled. Peaches is a perfect example. She and several other outdoor cats had been hanging around a warehouse, scavenging for food. She was underweight, skittish and we knew it was only a matter of time before she became pregnant. One of our intrepid fosters felt compelled to help. She managed to trap her along with two other cats, Clementine and Mr. Apple, and introduced them to indoor living. While they have all made huge progress in adapting to their new life, Peaches is still a little wary around people but her body language suggests that, deep down, she really does want to trust them. She follows her foster mom around the house and she loves to play with toys. She will flip over on her back and expose her belly, but quickly recoil when anyone tries to pet her. Peaches enjoys playing games on the kitty iPad and she loves playing with her feline buddies. She’s just not quite ready for a touchy-feely relationship with a human. She is very food motivated and would probably be happiest in a home with one of her feline friends or another young cat. As she is not yet confident around people, she would do best in a calm home with experienced cat owners. For more information, please contact us at animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com

Story
I'm looking to rehome my 6-month-old kitten, Tiera. She’s an absolute sweetheartvery playful and gentle, with a soft, loving personality. Tiera enjoys being kissed, and she has the cutest little habit of giving soft love bites. She’s quite funny too; she loves sitting in the tub (without water, of course) and spends lots of time gazing out the window. If you have an enclosed patio, she'd be thrilled to sit outside with you and take in the fresh air. I’m rehoming her because I’m 7 months pregnant, and my baby has been diagnosed with Down syndrome. My focus will need to be on giving my baby the full attention he needs, and I want Tiera to have the attention she deserves too. She comes with her cage, a 20-pound bag of food, a gallon of litter, her food bowls, litter pan, and bed. Tiera would be great in a home with kids—she never hisses or scratches intentionally, and her play is gentle. I’m hoping she can find a loving home where she can be truly loved. Tiera is a big girl for her age

Story
Cassidy is super sweet, with a cute little bobtail due to a tail injury from a dog. Don't let her sweet personality fool you, though, she is also a great protector. This amazing girl is always ready to give head rubs and kisses. Really! She almost always has her tongue sticking out, just waiting for someone to kiss on. Because of her loving demeaner, she has never met a stranger. She is FIV+. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds and mating -- typically non-issues when all cats are spayed/neutered! All cats adopted through our shelter will be vaccinated, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before going to their new home.
