Story
Meet Gumbo, a beautiful Calico girl. She's active, very communicative, will crawl in our laps and snuggle - on her terms. She is confident and good at letting you know what she wants and needs! We think she would do really well with a cat-savvy family who understand how cats communicate. She is very much a Calico with her spunky and assertive approach to life. She would thrive and flourish in a household with other cats. She loves the toy balls to bat about and adores the play tube/tunnel. She likes high places and play wrestling with her brother Bayou. Does like to use the cat tree for scratching….a very nice habit! Her estimated birth date is July 12, 2024. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only. ##2156879##

Meet Samantha, a member of the Swifty litter of four kitties. They were brought into TMHPR from a local animal shelter and were bottle-fed since they were too young to eat on their own. Now healthy and quite adorable, Samantha is ready for adoption. She is a cute Calico with maginificent colors with a great personality. She loves to wrestle, play with toys, snuggle humans, purr really loud and be carried around! She has met the foster family’s resident dog and would need some proper introduction to a cat-friendly dog in a forever home. Samantha would also do well with a cat buddy in a forever home. Her estimated birth date is August 6, 2024. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only. ##2178139##

Story
Taylor is a beautiful DSH Calico female born approximately 9/12/2021. Paging all Calico fans! Meet Taylor, the queen of sass and shoulder-perching extraordinaire! With a voice that could rival a diva and a passion for grooming her human subjects, she's always ready to make her presence known. Food-motivated and full of energy, she's a whirlwind of playful antics and unexpected nips. Trainable? Maybe. Entertaining? Absolutely. Just be prepared for a little sass and the occasional love bite!  Taylor enjoys watching the goings-on outside her foster room window. She also loves to snuggle up close at nap time. She prefers to drink water by finding a faucet with a drip, but she's never messy. She is very independent and low maintenance - good at keeping herself entertained.  According to her foster, Taylor is a bit of a nut - a funny girl with LOTS of purr-sonality! She is so entertaining, you can't help but fall in love with her! I mean, hey, in life you have to take the good with the "spaz", right? Taylor would do best in a home that's on the quiet side with a cat-savvy person and without young children. Taylor is microchipped and currently in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.November 4, 2024, 1:06 pm

Story
Pajamas is a beautiful DSH calico female born approximately 7/29/2023. She has the prettiest big round eyes! Pajamas was a friendly neighborhood stray that gave birth to 4 precious kittens in the garage of a lady that had been feeding her. She was a wonderful mom and now her babies are big enough to venture out into the world and everyone is looking for their forever homes. Pajamas is timid, but very sweet. She like chin scritches, body pets, and belly rubs, but she’s 50/50 on head pets. She’s been very busy raising her babies and has played with them on occasion, but hasn’t engaged much with toys. Pajamas would do best in a quiet home where she can get her groove back now that those pesky kids are out of the nest. Pajamas is microchipped and currently in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.November 4, 2024, 1:06 pm

Story
Cali-Flower is a precious DSH Calico female born approximately 7/18/2024. “We were all rescued from the same neighborhood colony that was a mix of feral cats with babies. There are 3 of us who are sisters plus Johnny, who is a little bit older, we think of as our 'brother from another mother'. We all stuck together for survival, but we were so young, then after a couple of kittens disappeared, a concerned lady wanted to help us. She didn’t want us to get hit by cars since we were still learning how to survive on the streets and crossing a busy street was dangerous for us.  We were rescued together and, rather than just TNR us to be put back on the streets, our rescuer recognized that we were just scared trying to survive. She worked with us to teach us that people can be nice and living indoors was way better! We are learning how to play by watching other foster kitties, and that holding us makes us purr, and kind hands that feed us will also scratch our chins which we like. Our foster mom has been very patient with us and we are learning to trust people. We are sweet, a little shy, and learning to live inside. With a little patience and time, you can help us to become confident, playful lap companions. A little about us individually: Sophie seems to crave attention and has a tiny meow to express her interest in you. Johnnie is the oldest and is already confident with indoor living and plays with anyone that will play back. While Sienna and Cali-flower are shyer and taking longer to trust, they already know they love head and neck scratches and instantly turn on the purrs.  We don’t have to be adopted in pairs, but we do feel better when we have a sibling to cuddle up with for naps. We have not been around dogs or kids, but pretty sure with proper introduction and patience, we would get along with everyone. We are not aggressive, just scared. Maybe your lap is our future!” Cali-Flower is microchipped and currently in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.November 8, 2024, 2:31 pm

Story
Meet Cleo! Cleo "Cleopatra" is a beautiful cat with big green eyes who is shy but affectionate when she warms up to anyone. She has a little cut on her right tip of her ear from when she was living in the streets. Her favorite spot to be scratched is her chin. Cleo is both shy and curious about her surroundings. But once she feels safe and comfortable she makes herself home and lays around. Cleo was found in a parking lot and after few head scratches she instantly felt comfortable to be around me where she could be pick up. The vet put her over the age of 1 years old. Cleo is such a smart and loving that she deserves the best instead of being in the streets. DOB: 03/01/2022 ************************************** Our adoption fees are $125 for one, $200 for 2, and cover the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots, microchip, combo test, deworming, and collar and ID tag. We require our adopters are 21 years old or older, keep the cat inside only (unless on a leash/harness or in a catio), and do not declaw./

Story
Maris is a playful young adult. She enjoys climbing on cat trees and playing “Queen of the Mountain” on the top shelf. She enjoys head scratches when it is time for her breakfast or dinner – she’s quite food motivated. She will need an experienced adopter as she is extremely cautious around people. She can startle easily, so she will do best with an understanding family who will work with her while she acclimates to her forever home. She is a beautiful girl who loves to be petted once she is settled. She loves to play with other cats and will do well in a home with other pets. Maris is up-to-date on all vaccines, she is spayed and microchipped, litter box trained and eats both wet and dry food. If you are reading this, we are still accepting applications on this pet. Story
Gorgeous Lorelei was relinquished to Collin County Animal Shelter extremely pregnant. Knowing she was very young, RHS took her in so she could have her kittens in a loving and safe environment. Little did we know the next day she would become a mother to five babies!! She was the best mother any kitten could ask for, although she was very inexperienced. She has the most silky soft silver-gray coat that you’ll just want to pet. She absolutely loves human attention, but can become over-stimulated sometimes, so she needs to be in a home with a family that has experience with particular kitties. She has lived with a few dogs and decided they are not her speed, but she would do well with a quiet, passive cat as she is very dominant.  Sadly, momma cats are often left behind and have to wait months if not longer to find their perfect home. Please consider adopting this young-adult little girl; she will make someones home so very happy!! Lorelei is spayed, up-to-date on all recommended vaccines and has been microchipped. She uses scratching posts appropriately and is litter box trained. ALL ADOPTERS/FOSTERS MUST LIVE WITHIN 60 MILES OF RICHARDSON, TX.
