Story
ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Carmel has the cutest freckles on her nose which makes her dilute calico markings even more beautiful! She is sweet and friendly so it’s hard to believe someone left her behind. She took up residence outside a rescue friends sons apartment but after lots of searching for an owner it was determined she was homeless. Lucky for her she picked an apartment door where the resident loved kitties so she is enjoying being spoiled until she can find a new forever home! If you would like to meet Carmel, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Story
Every now and again we come across a cat who isn’t like other cats, a cat who doesn’t fit any of the molds and whose behavior leaves us puzzled. Peaches is a perfect example. She and several other outdoor cats had been hanging around a warehouse, scavenging for food. She was underweight, skittish and we knew it was only a matter of time before she became pregnant. One of our intrepid fosters felt compelled to help. She managed to trap her along with two other cats, Clementine and Mr. Apple, and introduced them to indoor living. While they have all made huge progress in adapting to their new life, Peaches is still a little wary around people but her body language suggests that, deep down, she really does want to trust them. She follows her foster mom around the house and she loves to play with toys. She will flip over on her back and expose her belly, but quickly recoil when anyone tries to pet her. Peaches enjoys playing games on the kitty iPad and she loves playing with her feline buddies. She’s just not quite ready for a touchy-feely relationship with a human. She is very food motivated and would probably be happiest in a home with one of her feline friends or another young cat. As she is not yet confident around people, she would do best in a calm home with experienced cat owners. For more information, please contact us at animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com

Back in October of last year Ivy showed up at my back door with her brother Jasper. They were skinny and starving and came right in and made themselves at home. Ivy is a little feisty but very sweet, loves to sit in your lap and cuddle with her brother. Ideally she would love to find a home with her brother.

Story
Hello, We received Boki from a shelter in Denton at around 3 months old. She is a calico cat currently going on 4 years old. She is an extremely territorial and communicative cat but can also be loving and sweet when she wants (like most cats). Truth be told the reason we are looking to rehome is because she requires more attention than we can give at the moment. She can be very demanding, aggressive with new people/pets and requires a lot of energy. I’m looking for someone with the patience to provide her what she needs and is able to work through her trust issues. Ideally a situation where she can be the only child for a bit before she softens up as well as a rich and nurturing environment. When she trusts you, her love is big and endless. Would love for her to be with someone who can show that same care.

Story
Opal is a 10 year old calico that I got when I was a single man living in my own apartment. She’s been a kind and gentle companion, however she’s always had issues with peeing outside of her litter box. She gets checked out periodically when it gets out of hand and she’s always perfectly healthy. She’s never had a UTI. She’s been spayed. She’s been given a top of the line self cleaning litter box that she DOES use; yet, many days she just prefers to pee on bathroom rugs, carpet, and laundry that gets left on the floor. She mainly targets our four year old daughter’s things and that’s not fair to her as she never chose to have a cat. She’s getting worse as she gets older and I can’t keep throwing away personal items because of cat pee. It’s getting expensive. She deserves someone that can provide her with the attention she needs.

Story
Cassidy is super sweet, with a cute little bobtail due to a tail injury from a dog. Don't let her sweet personality fool you, though, she is also a great protector. This amazing girl is always ready to give head rubs and kisses. Really! She almost always has her tongue sticking out, just waiting for someone to kiss on. Because of her loving demeaner, she has never met a stranger. She is FIV+. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds and mating -- typically non-issues when all cats are spayed/neutered! All cats adopted through our shelter will be vaccinated, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before going to their new home.
