Story
Carmel is a young kitten we rescued while in Eagle Pass, TX. My husband saw some neighbors spraying her with water to keep her away. My husband stepped in to care for her as her mother was killed and she was all alone. He brought her back up to our place in Dickinson, TX. We estimate her to be about 5 months. She gets along great with other adult cats and our small dog. She is a sweet kitten who has lots of energy! She loves to play with toys and give kisses. She is house and litter box trained. She is ready for her new home and would love to be your forever friend!

Story
Don’t let the three legs fool you. Caramello will outrun, out-climb, and boss around all her foster friends. She absolutely loves spending times on her cat tree by the window, observing the world and watching out for visitors. She takes some time to warm up to new people but once she does, she’ll come when called and spend lots of time cuddling with you. You see, she came from the streets. She was a just a young kitten trying to survive on her own. She was brought into a clinic to be spayed where it was discovered her leg had subsided and injury that left the nerve severed and needed to be amputated. She also had a severe injury to her tail that required it to be amputated too. We will never know what happened to her but we know it will never happen again! She has settled into the good life indoors!!! She’s great with other cats and will introduce herself first to them too. Despite her resting grump face, she’s a happy cat that has faced the hard world and still learned to love people. She is 7 months old and fully vetted!! Houston, TX The first step to meeting this amazing girl is to fill out our no obligation application at: http://www.forgottenpetadvocates.com/cat-adoption-application/ Email questions to: bobbie@forgottenpetadvocates.comOctober 21, 2024, 12:19 am

This is Hallie. She was found at my work place. She has been spayed and had a rabies vac. She is about 9 months old, weighs about 8 lbs. She is very loving and playful. She loves to sit in a lap. She is litter box trained. She seems very smart. We would keep her but we already have 3 cats and another just showed up. She would be an inside cat only. She would be a great best friend.

Story
Meet Mini – a quiet, observant feline who brings a peaceful presence to any home. Often blending effortlessly into her surroundings, Mini enjoys the simple pleasure of watching the world go by from her favorite window. While she doesn’t seek constant attention, she deeply appreciates a gentle forehead scratch or a soft stroke along her back during her calm moments. As for her past, we can only speculate. When Mini arrived at the shelter, she would flinch at the movement of any hand near her, suggesting she may have faced uncertainty or fear in her previous life. Though still a bit timid, especially about being picked up, she has shown a natural ease around other animals, content to share space without fuss. Mini would thrive in a patient, calm environment where she can adjust at her own pace. If you're looking for a playful, cuddly cat, Mini might not be the one. But for those willing to offer her the quiet companionship she craves, she could become a cherished part of your life. Female 3 years old Spayed Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated Combo tested- negative Microchipped Available for transport WA, CO, NH, VT, MA, ME, NY and UT. Interested in this cat? Story
CALICO LAP CUDDLER  DOB 6/27/21 Lyra would like a quiet house with a person or two who will get to know her gently, as she is very attached to her foster mom.  Lyra thinks her foster mom is the berries, so Lyra won't be won over in a minute.  She also hates cats except for her little black nemesis Trudy.  Lyra loves playing the game "aggravation" with Trudy.  She's a fabulous biscuit maker, if she adopts you!    HOPE ID 21-0807-E010 If you are interested in Lyra and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at hope@homelesspets.net and a volunteer will get back to you. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Marjorie was brought to GIHS by one of our very own volunteers, who found her begging for food on the streets. Two days later, Marjorie gave birth to four beautiful kittens right in her kennel. Since having her babies, Marjorie has been living in a foster home where she declared her love language to be Quality Time, and not Physical Touch. While she likes gentle head pets, she much prefers to sit next to you on the couch rather be in your lap. Marjorie also prefers to have all four paws on the ground - she's not one to enjoy being held. Though Marjorie is timid around strangers, she is the loveliest little companion once you earn her trust. She is very playful and loves all sorts of toys - wands, stuffed mice, plastic springs, everything! She gets along with other playful kitties and would love a home with a friend (perhaps her foster sister, Gemma). Underneath her initial nervousness, Marjorie is just a sweetheart looking for a calm, low-energy home. Could you be her person?

I'm Tia! I came to GIHS with my babies in tow. Now, I am ready for a home of my own! I am very sweet and independent. I love to explore and I'm very curious about new places, people, and smells. I get along with other cats but like my own space and time with my human friends. I enjoy rough play and would be best in a home without other female cats.

Story
Meet Talitha, or Tilly as her foster mom calls her! Talitha just might be the cutest and sweetest kitten in all of Galveston. She adores attention in all forms - pets, scritches, and even belly rubs! The moment you sit down, Tilly will be in your lap, purring and making kitty biscuits. When she's not demanding your attention, she can usually be found napping in laundry hampers or toy baskets around the house. She definitely has a playful side, so be prepared for shenanigans aplenty. If you are looking for a affection cat that you can pamper with Princess Treatment, Talitha is the girl for you! Tilly was found at Schlitterbahn when she was only a couple days old. She was bottle fed and raised in a foster home, so she is already familiar with a home environment. She gets along great with other cats and would love to have a kitty friend in her forever home. For more information, feel free to reach out to her foster mom on Instagram @knittinkittenfoster.
