Story
All of our cats and kittens receive an exam, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, de-flead, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped. Patches Mom is a stunning, mostly white calico girl, about 1 to 1.5 years old, ready to find her forever home. She’s been an incredible mom, and now it's her turn to be pampered and adored. Patches is as sweet as they come; she might observe from afar at first, but it doesn’t take her long to get comfortable and come in for a sniff and a pat. Once she does, her loud and frequent purrs will let you know she’s happy. Patches would probably thrive best as an only cat, as she gets a bit upset when other foster kitties come near her door. If you're looking to spoil a loving, gentle cat, Patches is your girl. This cat is currently in a foster home, so if you want to meet him or her, please fill out an adoption application. Applications can be found on our website at www.angelcathaven.com. It can be filled out online or emailed to adoptions@angelcathaven.com. If you have submitted an application and have been waiting to hear back from us for a few days, please check your SPAM folder. Adding adoptions@angelcathaven.com to your contacts may prevent the emails from being sent to the SPAM folder. If this is happening, please add cheri@angelcathaven.com to your contacts.

Story
Hi my name is Emely This is my precious girl Emelyiah. I truly don’t want to even make the decision to rehome my cat; if I could take her I would. I recently accepted a job which, as a result, I now have to relocate. The apartment in the area do not accept cats and I’m left with the decision to find a new home for her. Emelyiah is the sweetest little cat. I got her from Salem Cat Adoption Center and she’s been with me for the past 2 years. She lovessssss tuna and chicken preferably the Tiki Cat brand. I hope to find a home that truly wants to have a cat. Please understand being a cat owner isn’t a light responsibility. Bottled water she doesn’t drink tap and it has to be through a fountain. When you do get her I will make sure to give you all of her cat items! She loves treats and head rubs; be aware of the ears they will let you know how she’s feeling lol Hope to talk to you soon :)

Adoption Donation  $ 299 Located: in New England (Transportation costs included to the Northeast, plz ask for more details) Age: 15 weeks as of 12/10/2024   If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:      dani.stewart2020@gmail.com   Please verify the location and readiness of this cat with us.  Because we save lives from various locations throughout the United States, some cats may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. Ideal Home: A patient, quiet home with a friendly feline! Qualities: Calm, Reserved, Shy, Mellow, Gentle Doogie Howser, MD is ready to find his forever home! This distinguished, four-pawed "purr-fessional" specializes in healing broken hearts with just a sway of his tail. Doogie thrives in the company of other cats, and a friendly feline companion to groom, play, and cuddle with is just what the doctor ordered. At just 2 years old, Doogie arrived at Ten Lives a bit shy, but his gentle and reserved nature has blossomed. He now enjoys flopping belly up next to his people for head scratches and, when he's in the mood, maybe even a belly rub. Mealtime brings out his affectionate side—Doogie will come over purring and nuzzling, happily accepting pets. On occasion, he might even let you pick him up without complaint when his "pick me up" meter is full. While it may take him a few days to warm up, with patience and love, he'll soon be exploring his surroundings and ensuring everything is in tip-top shape. ___________________________ Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/ Please Note: If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed.  About Ten Lives: Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.  Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!  All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
Ideal Home: Quiet, patient and loving as she learns more about the pampered indoor life!Qualities: Gentle, Shy, Mellow. Graysie is a sophisticated 7.5 old gentle girl who has been appreciating the pampered indoor life since she arrived at Ten Lives. You see, Graysie's story is one that we commonly see; she spent her whole life outside and never knew the love and affectionate of being a beloved house cat. She has shown positive progress around her comfort human and has recently been allowing pets and brushing during her feedings. Her hobbies include bird watching and lounging in the sun beams to catch a good snooze. Graysie is gentle in nature and will need a patient adopter who can work with her slowly over time.  She gets along with other laid back and relaxed felines, and we think another easy going cat friend would help her flourish and also keep her company, but its not a deal breaker if she's a solo kitty either. If you think you could be Graysie's forever person, she hopes you will fill out an application for her today!___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Story
Meet Wayne, the dashing and determined cat whose journey has left us both heartbroken and inspired. This handsome boy was heartlessly kicked outside by his former owner, who callously asked us to "humanely discard" him. Wayne was terrified and withdrawn when he came into our care, but with time, patience, and love, he’s slowly opened up and begun to trust people again.Wayne’s story is one of resilience, but his newfound confidence has come with an undeniable craving for the outdoors. He’s a master escape artist: a door-dashing, screen-scratching, little Houdini who stops at nothing to feel the wind in his fur. We’ve tried everything to safely curb his outdoor desires—offering catio access, harness training, and even taking him out in a stroller. Yet, Wayne continues to yearn for the freedom he remembers. For Wayne’s well-being and happiness, we’re making an exception to our usual practice of finding strictly indoor homes. We are now looking for a loving and responsible owner who understands the challenges and risks of caring for an indoor/outdoor cat and will do everything possible to keep him safe. We hope to find someone who lives in a quieter area, keeps up with annual vet visits, vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and Feline Leukemia), is consistent with flea prevention, and who will commit to loving Wayne unconditionally. This is not a decision we make lightly, but we believe that Wayne deserves the best shot at a happy and fulfilled life. If you can offer Wayne the safe, structured, and caring home he needs, please reach out to learn more about this brave and spirited boy.If you think you could be Wayne's match, he hopes you will fill out an application today!___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives!
