Meet Shayman! This beautifully marked calico is waiting for her home. Shayman loves attention, loves to be petted and will throw herself in front of you on the floor to receive pets. Shayman is "aloof" to other cats. She is in a room with others and she is fine with them but would not want another cat to pest her. She would be perfectly content to be your one and only! Shayman was born in 2016, she is 7 years old. Shayman has a lot of life and love to share with you. Shayman is "ready to go." She is spayed, microchipped, current on Rabies and FVRCP (distemper) vaccinations, was wormed and is FeLV/FIV negative. If interested please fill out an application at 1by1catrescue.org. This beautiful, longhair kitty now spends a great deal of her time inside the foster building, rather than hiding outside in a dog house in the enclosed yard. She is right there inside at mealtime waiting to be served and allows her foster Mom to get much closer to her than ever before. She is not pettable and may never be, but is much more comfortable now within a reasonable proximity to people. Sassy is a beautiful calico cat who is around 1.5-2 years old. This sweet girl hasn’t had the easiest life. Prior to our rescue taking her in, she was with another rescue who adopted out of Petco and Petsmart, where she was sent. Being in a glass box was not for Sassy. Being poked, prodded and stared at every day for hours upon hours turned her from a very loving cat to a very scared and withdrawn one. This is when the rescue decided to surrender her to us where we could safely put her in a foster home. She has been in a foster home for about 3 months and is thriving now. She has come out of her shell and learned she’s safe once again. No more glass boxes for her. The foster says this about her: Friendly Vocal – Loves to talk to you Loves to explore and roam around Loves cat trees Learning to love what toys are again Gets along with other cats, but prefers her own space Would do fine with older children, ideally no young ones for Sassy Dogs would be fine with slow introductions (refer to pictures with dog in the background) Wonderful lap cat Very Entertaining Inside Only Sassy is a calmer cat that loves to lay around and just hang out. Her name is Beatrix and she lives up to her name's Latin origins of "voyager" or "traveler". This little lady was a stray. Outside, cold, hungry, and severely underweight. She wandered into the neighborhood and found the right home to take her in and help her on her next voyage of finding a permanent family. We estimate Beatrix is about 10 months old. Beatrix loves to be pet and to receive affection. She seeks attention and is an appreciative kitty. Beatrix is young and enthusiastic and chases after strings, shoelaces, crinkle balls and runs throughout the house. She is learning how to interact & socialize with other cats and is making continuous progress. She is spayed and received rabies and feline distemper vaccines. No food allergies. She is litter trained.

PLEASE... we can't keep her anymore and I really don't know what to do. We need to find a new home for this sweet girl. Family circumstances require us to find her a place that will love her. She is super sweet and loves purring and sitting on your lap and giving night time snuggles. I'm not sure to increase or decrease the amount of money for her...lol. She is such a sweet cat. Someone can love her and give her a wonderful life ...
