Story
Phoebe, yes as in Phoebe Bridgers, duh! She is no copycat, she is a unique calico. She loves to greet you with some attention when you get home, but also knows when it’s time to give you some space. Wand toys are her absolute favorite. She is known for giving some Simone Biles-level gymnastics performances when chasing a wand toy. She is the perfect companion cat for first-time cat adoptees and a Phoebe Bridgers Fan! Phoebe Bridgers is 1`-2 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax) (Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)

Story
Full disclosure: Bonnie the Beauty scores off the charts in sass. She is the ghost pepper of spiciness. The brings-tears-to-your-eyes at the Wing Bowl kind of spicy. When she arrived to her foster home, she spent the first week voicing her displeasure about everything. Except catnip - she is a sucker for catnip! It took a few weeks for her to settle in and now she rules the house. She is the best neighborhood watch anyone could ask for, and she truly is a beauty! Bonnie needs a home with someone who has the patience to let her call the shots. Someone who will give her the time she needs to claim her throne and makes things just to her liking. With a little time and love, we wouldn't be shocked to hear that her spice has leveled out and that she really needed was a home of her own where she could feel safe and loved. Bonnie is living with other cats now and as long as they don't bother her, she lets them be. She loves snack time and soft pillows. She would love a cat tree and a good scratching post. And buckets of catnip! Bonnie the Beauty is 4-5 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $0. One of volunteers loves Bonnie has decided to sponsor her adoption fee!

Story
Ishtar is beautiful cat with lots of love. She loves to follow people around and headbutt people to show affection. Ishtar is very adorable and tiny in size. When we first welcomed her into our house, we had mistaken her for a baby! She is loving and energetic, but still prefers a little safe space that is just hers. I found Ishtar digging in my neighbor’s trashcan, and she decided to follow me home when I got close. She really enjoys being indoors with good meals and love and attention. With love and affection, I’m so happy to see her gain some weight and become prettier everyday. I look forward to her finding a loving home. Ishtar Melon is around 3 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax) (Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)

Story
Jacinda Frasier is a very loving and gentle calico. She is very laid back but on occasion she will run around the bed and kick her legs around for fun. She is simply the most loving cat you will ever meet. If you are asleep laying on your stomach, she will lay on your back. If you are asleep on your back, she will lay on your chest and rub her head on your face! As long as you have a sunny window sill, wet food, and hand to pet her, she will be quite content! Jacinda was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, and is doing quite well on her medicine, which is fairly cheap and needs to be given once a day. Jacinda can live with other cats and kids. In fact, she and her pervious human foster siblings had quite a sweet relationship! Jacinda is around 7-8 years old and is spayed, front declawed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax) (Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)

Story
Sweet Potato is a social and cool tabico cat who was found on the streets of West Philly. When she was first brought to Project MEOW, she had a rash that later spread throughout her entire body. Turns out, she's allergic to so many things (dust mites, fleas, EUCALYPTUS) and she requires a little bit of extra attention. After a few rounds of medication, she's doing so much better but can still flare up from time to time. Sweet Potato prefers to love from a distance - she'll follow you around from room to room but isn't much of a cuddler. She'll approach you when she wants a little love but prefers to act as a companion. She's not very vocal, happier expressing her needs through body language and long stares. She's super aware of her body - she's not the type to jump on counters or knock over objects. Still a young cat, her favorite toy is a wand, she can run around the home chasing it but is smart enough to understand that it's her human that's behind the toy. She's very independent, but likely best suited in a house without young children, as she's doesn't not appreciate being touched without her consent. Sweet Potato is about 3 years old and she is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax) (Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
These three ladies were trapped as part of a TNR project after their owner became ill, lost her home, and they ended up outside with a Lansdowne colony. The sisters were social and clearly not meant for outdoor life, so they were brought into foster together. They were previously spayed, had their shots updated, and they tested negative. They will be microchipped. If you guessed Blanche, Rose, and Dorothy (left to right), you are correct! They absolutely have the personalities of their TV namesakes, as you can see. Blanche and Rose immediately took over their foster home, exploring and enjoying window time together. Dorothy wasn’t so sure and elected to stay in her crate till she was darned good and ready to venture out and join the others. She has come very far in just a few short weeks and is as friendly as can be these days. After all they’ve been through losing their owner and their home, it would be a dream if these playful besties could stay together and become someone’s instant feline family, but other scenarios are possible. Put on your best caftan, grab some cheesecake, and meet The Golden Girls! Applications being accepted.   To learn more about Blanche, Rose, and Dorothy and other pets available for adoption, and to download an adoption application, please visit www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org. House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Introducing the very lovely Kara. Her story is a sad one. Born in 2008, Kara had kittens who were adopted out, and Kara was spayed and adopted by a kind gentleman with several cats. Kara was well cared for, but one cat bullied her and made her timid. Her owner became ill and passed away in 2018. Kara was then adopted by another kind gentleman and friend of the rescue, who passed away very suddenly in June 2022. Kara is as sweet as sweet can be, but she needs some work and commitment from a special adopter to help rebuild her confidence. You need to seek her out, then she will thoroughly enjoy affection and will reward you with very loud purrs. Kara has been updated on all her vet care and is a very healthy senior kitty. She truly needs for her next home to be her last. A calm and loving home, ideally with no other pets (though she will adjust to kind ones), would complete Kara’s wish list. A senior human in need of a gentle companion would be just perfect. If Kara’s story stirs your heart, you just might be her person. Please apply today.   To learn more about Kara and other pets available for adoption, and to download an adoption application, please visit www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org. Story
Hobbes is the most typical of cats- born in Aug 2022 this boy was discovered in March 2023 as a new addition to a feeder's community cat colony. We were able to trap him  before he befell the fate of many outdoor cats- becoming feral. After being fixed he realized that the inside life was a pretty good one. He can best be described as happy-go-lucky. Hobbes prances around, perches on window sills, and enjoys wrestling with his fellow foster cats. On the whole he is a very sweet and gentle boy who never shows his claws and is ready to be your new addition!   Due to his later introduction to inside life Hobbes will need a bit of patience from his new parent- he is a little shy with new people or animals and will require a slow introduction to any gentle children or pets in your home. He does not like to be picked up or held.  He has tested negative, is neutered and microchipped, and is up to date on all shots and vet care. Applications are accepted now for this adorable boy, so don’t delay!
