Story

Mouse is a calico female that is a little over two years old. She was found in the parking lot of a Walmart and after extensively searching for her owners, we decided to take her in after we could not find them. She is house-trained and has a lot of energy and a place where she can run around and climb. Although she has never fully been around other animals, her fur immediately poofs up and is removed from the situation in case she attacks. We are unsure of how long she was on the streets. She does let her boundaries be known, which is why I believe an experienced adopter would be a better fit for her. Mouse loves wands and springs the most, along with scratch pads and cat nip toys. It is best if you let her come to you because she becomes overstimulated easily. Mouse usually only lets you pet her head and becomes defensive when you touch her back or belly. She likes to gently play fight but will let you know when it becomes too much.

Meet sweet Rosie 💕 Rosie is an absolute doll who is quickly becoming a volunteer favorite. She is so incredibly gentle and sweet. She looks at you with her great big eyes and give a tiny little meow for attention. Once volunteers start petting her they have a very hard time leaving as she guilts you again with those great big eyes. Rosie came to our shelter as a stray in very rough condition. She was incredibly matted, and had ear, skin, and urinary infections. We aren’t sure if her condition was from living outside or poor care while inside a home. Rosie was recently had surgery for a bladder stone and will need to stay on a prescription diet to ward off any further stones. We believe Rosie to be a munchkin mix as she has very short widdle legs Rosie needs a nice quiet home where she can enjoy an amazing and loved life she so deserves. She would do best in a home where she can have a short walk to her necessities as her widdle legs have developed arthritis. Rosie is estimated in her senior years and has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for felv/fiv, and microchipped. This beautiful, longhair kitty now spends a great deal of her time inside the foster building, rather than hiding outside in a dog house in the enclosed yard. She is not pettable and may never be, but is much more comfortable now within a reasonable proximity to people. Bande is a beautifully marked calico who sadly lost her home when her owner was forced to move. Bande took the move hard but has settled in nicely now at her foster home. She took a bit longer than average to adjust but she was well worth the wait. This gorgeous girl is finally showing her foster mom her loving sweet personality. Bande enjoys being petted and enjoys cuddle time once she gets to know you. She is on the calmer side but does enjoy some playtime. She gets along with the other kitties in her foster home but does not lay or play with them. She would do best in a quieter household with another friendly kitty to show her the ropes. Meet kitty Armondo!!! He and his litter mates did not have the best start in life. Their mom was a member of a feral cat colony that lived in a ravine. People were very concerned about the little family and were finally able to trap them all. Mom was feral. The babies were scared but nice. It just took a little while for them to understand that people are nice and are trying to help them. Mom was spayed and released and the babies went to a loving foster home. They have now all been totally vetted and are ready for their forever homes. Armondo is a sweet but shy 12 week old kitten. He loves to play with his siblings Leo and Amschel. They have the biggest time running and playing. Armondo is a polydactyl/Hemmingway kitten. He is unique in that he has 5 toes. It looks like he has hands. This sweet boy is a very good boy. It took no time at all to litter box train him. He would love to have a home with one of his brothers. If not though he definitely needs a home with another kitten or young cat. He has been through too much to not have a companion. Armondo is a special boy with the tiniest of meows. He will be an excellent companion and addition to your family.
