Story
Sweet little Odell is loving and friendly. She prefers occasional snuggle sessions and friendly companionship over constant attention. She does like lying on your chest while getting her pets and snuggle time, though! Unlike a lot of kitties, this little lady does not usually want to be the center of attention... lots of commotion will sometimes make her nervous. Odell tends to find a dark quiet place to settle in when things get too rowdy for her liking, and she'll just hang out quietly by herself until she decides everything is calm enough again. Odell should be an only cat or in a house with other very non-aggressive cats. She loves lounging in sunny spots, watching the world around her. Please note, sweet Odell will likely take at least two months to get used to new surroundings, and will spend most of her initial time hiding.... but good things come to those who are patient and wait for this sweet girl to be comfortable! She's an absolute doll! Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay, all applicable birth-to-one-year FVRCP, FeLeuk and first round of rabies vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! Please note, young kitties do best with another kitty in the household. To apply to adopt, please complete an adoption inquiry at www.bluesmews.org so our adoption specialist volunteer can review it and contact you!

Story
Hi my name is toast! I’m a year and a half old! During the day I spend my time sleeping, cuddling in bed, looking out the window, and I even watch tv! At night during dinner time I get the zoomies and run through the house like a jungle gym! I love children and have grown up around young children! I love to play with them but I love cuddling up with my adult! I do best in a home where someone is around frequently but I’d also be okay if I have a fur sibling! I’m unsure of larger dogs and can be intimidated by them!

Good with cats,
Story
Born on May 7, 2023. Has 5 other siblings.* All are ready for adoption. Never been outside - flea free. Eating hard cat food. Weaned. Litterbox trained. I am NOT 100% certain of the sex of the kittens so make sure to double check before finalizing the adoption. "Are dilute calico cats rare? Yes, even female dilute calico cats are rare. As we saw above, only one in every 1,000 cats is born a standard calico and dilute calico cats are that much harder to come by. One of the reasons for this is that the dilution gene is what’s known as a recessive gene. That means that a more dominant gene can mask it and a kitten would need to inherit the dilution gene from both parents in order to be born a dilute calico. "...- so, consider yourself very lucky indeed if you become the pet parent to one of these beauties." https://www.petsradar.com/advice/dilute-calico-cat

Story
Sophie is 1.5 years old. She is a different type of calico. She is brown and she has the tortoise shell color as well a little black but mostly brown and cream color (tortoise shell ) She has been fixed and has had her shots up to date. She is the sweetest and most loving cat. She loves to be loved on. She is an only cat and gets a lot of attention. She lays with u when u sleep or just sitting around. I’m going to b moving soon and can’t take her with me. As much as I would love to take her but the new place doesn’t allow pets so I have to get rid of my baby. Please give her a good and loving home.

Story
DOB: 3/1/2017  Haley is a 7 year old calico with a sweet and calm personality. She loves being around people, lounging where she can see you, and gentle pets. Her soft, beautiful coat and polite requests for attention (like head rubs or leg brushes) makes her even more endearing. Though laid-back, she has a playful side and loves showing off her white tummy for pets. Haley gets along with independent cats and prefers a quiet home. After being left behind by her previous adopters, she's hoping for a second chance at a forever home with someone who will cherish her gentle, easy-going nature. An artist donated her time to paint Haley's portrait and her adopter will receive this portrait as well.  **This cat is currently in a foster home and arrangements can be made for a meeting once you have applied with us. All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**  January 25, 2025, 8:04 pm
