Story
Tia is a remarkable and resilient kitty that needs a foster or forever home. She has captured the hearts of those who care for her at one of our feral feeding stations, and while she has a feisty and sassy nature, we think she has the potential to blossom with the right person. If you are unable to foster/adopt Tia, please share this post to help her find the loving home she deserves! Tia has likely spent most (if not all) of her life outdoors. This smart and spirited calico has a sweet, expressive face, and she’s a petite little spitfire who communicates through hisses, growls, and occasional meows. Once she knows you, she’ll approach with her tail straight up—a sign of trust. Though we are unsure of Tia’s exact age, we think she’s probably between 5-10 years old. Despite missing several teeth due to age, Tia seems otherwise healthy. She has received veterinary care and been spayed in the past, hence her tipped ear. If we can find a kind soul willing to care for her, she will have an updated exam prior to being transferred to her new home. Note that Tia will need a quiet, calm home without kids or other pets, and she’ll initially need a small space of her own to become acclimated. Patience will be key, and she’ll hide for a while, until she feels safe. Her foster/adopter should be experienced with cats, and some experience with semi-feral or feral cats would be ideal. Tia is located in the Columbus area. If you’re located in Ohio and think you might be a good match for Tia, submit an application via our website. Email us with any questions - contactusforgotten4paws@yahoo.com.

Story
FIV+Meet Blanche, a stunning calico beauty with a striking mix of black, orange, and white fur. Born around March 8, 2021, Blanche joined our adoption center on March 16, 2024, after being caught as a stray in Blacklick by our dedicated TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) volunteers. Despite her life on the streets, Blanche is not feral. She has an independent spirit that makes her an intriguing and charming companion. Blanche is spayed, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FeLV. Additionally, she is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive), which means she has a weakened immune system compared to FIV-negative cats. FIV+ cats can live with FIV- as long as the cats get along and are both spayed/neutered.  A deep bite is the only way it would spread with altered cats. Blanche is shy and tends to be reserved around new people. However, if you approach her slowly, she enjoys a good head scratch and will purr contentedly. She may not be the most attention-seeking kitty, but she still appreciates love and TLC. Her friendship is won through gentle pets and tasty snacks, making the bond you form with her all the more special. Blanche got her name because of her beautiful white patches of fur that reminded our volunteers of fresh snow. Her name, meaning "white" in French, seemed like a perfect fit for her unique and elegant appearance. If you’re looking for a beautiful and self-reliant feline friend, Blanche may just be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet her and experience her unique charm for yourself! **Come meet me at the cage free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Story
Meet Ginger, a stunning 8-year-old calico with a vibrant coat and a personality to match! This sassy lady knows what she likes and isn’t afraid to set boundaries. When she’s scared or uncertain, she may hiss or swat, but she doesn’t use her claws unless she truly feels she needs to protect herself. Ginger is a strong, independent cat who’s looking for someone who will appreciate her spirited personality. While she’s still learning to feel safe and secure, Ginger has already shown her adorable side. She loves being talked to and will answer back with the sweetest little meows, letting you know she’s listening. She enjoys finding cozy spots to lounge in and spending time gazing out the window at the world outside. She would thrive in a quiet home with a patient adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to feel at ease. If you’re looking for a cat with a bit of sass and a lot of charm, Ginger might just be the perfect companion for you. Come meet her and see if she’s the missing piece to your home! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Wynona is shy at first -- she is extremely sweet when she is comfortable, but give her a few days and she will be ready for some human attention. She loves chin scratches and just to be near her human. She gets along with other non-dominant cats and will just mind her own business -- she does not do well with cats who will bully her. Wynona is quick to seek out human company when comfortable. While she does get along with other cats, proper acclimation is extremely important in the process of adjusting to a new home and other cats. Wynona has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Noah & Lacey are almost 11 years old, a bonded pair of senior, declawed cats. Noah is gray/white, while Lacey is the brown tabby. They are both very sweet, great litter box habits and quiet, well mannered cats. The pair was surrendered through no fault of their own (adopters had a dog that was very allergic to them); they had originally come to us in 2024 when their owner passed away. Noah is definitely the more outgoing of the two, instantly friendly and snuggly. Lacey likes people, but also like to just do her own thing. They just need someone to provide a quiet home for them where they can relax and be loved. Both are large cats, 12-14 pounds. They each have a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized.
