Hi --my name is Tigger. I am a four year old (october) Calico mix. The picture is not really good because it is so dark but I really am pretty. I am a very quite kitty -- gentle and a little shy espcially with strangers. I can usually tell a cat lover and go right to then. I do like to snuggle and may follow you around all the time. I am use to a quiet house because both of my owners are older and out quite a bit. But its ok I am not a trouble maker. I also love food -- so may kind of bug you when I'm hungry. The vet says I am in pretty good shape. Unfortunately mom an dad are a little old and afraid I may end up by myself....which I am pretty sure I wouldn't like. FIV+Meet Blanche, a stunning calico beauty with a striking mix of black, orange, and white fur. Born around March 8, 2021, Blanche joined our adoption center on March 16, 2024, after being caught as a stray in Blacklick by our dedicated TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) volunteers. Despite her life on the streets, Blanche is not feral. She has an independent spirit that makes her an intriguing and charming companion. Blanche is spayed, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FeLV. Additionally, she is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive), which means she has a weakened immune system compared to FIV-negative cats. While this requires some extra care to keep her healthy, it doesn't stop her from living a fulfilling life. Blanche is extremely shy and tends to be reserved around new people. However, if you approach her slowly, she enjoys a good head scratch and will purr contentedly. She may not be the most attention-seeking kitty, but she still appreciates love and care. Her friendship is won through gentle pets and tasty snacks, making the bond you form with her all the more special. Blanche got her name because of her beautiful white patches of fur that reminded our volunteers of fresh snow. Her name, meaning "white" in French, seemed like a perfect fit for her unique and elegant appearance. Blanche is slow to trust and doesn't like new people, but once she warms up to you (which takes a while), she is incredibly sweet and loyal. Meet the jovial and jubilant Jalapeno! He started out as a spicy little pepper when he was a kitten, but after a few months he has mellowed out into the sweet bell pepper you see now. We're happy that he has become comfortable enough here to come out of his shell and show us how wonderful he is. He is a patient kitty who has been waiting to meet his forever family for a little while now. One of his favorite spots to be pet is his head. He loves a good head rub and scratch! Jalapeno gets along very well with other cats, especially those that are similar to his age. There is another cat around his age named Gato on the adoption floor and they have become pretty good buds! In case you were perhaps searching for two cats to adopt, those two would be a good pair. Even if he were to be adopted solo, Jalapeno will be fine. As long as he has a family who will pet him, feed him, give him lots of love, and play with him, he will be very happy. Meet the big and beautiful Holt! She was adopted from us in 2020. Her previous owner unfortunately passed away, so that's how Holt ended up at the shelter again. Holt was saddened by her owner's passing, but we are sure that she'll be accepting to open up her heart to another family once again so she can like out the rest of her golden years. She deserves it! Holt is a couch potato. She spends most of her days sleeping, curled up in a nice and cushiony cat bed. She would enjoy having one or two to sleep on in her new home...But we think that YOUR bed would soon become her favorite! Her previous owner's family expressed that all she loved to do everyday was lay next to and sleep with her favorite person. She prefers head and ear scratches rather than back scratches. Even though Holt is a bit lazy... We have seen her playing with a ball track toy that spins, as well as a fun dangling wand toy. She still has some youthful energy left in her yet! Another thing that Holt loves: FOOD! She gets excited and starts meowing for her tasty food and lickable treat snacks. Holt likes her solidarity away from other cats as well as dogs. We think the best type of home for her would be one where she is the only pet. Come by the Humane Society to meet sweet old lady Holt!
