Story
Matilda (Tilly) is a 4-year-old Calico female. I watched her mother birth her litter & chose her at just 3 hours old. Tilly gets along with all animals (she is very submissive) & kids. She loves to play with crunchy balls like a puppy, she's the snuggliest cuddler, & sweetest sole. Unfortunately, after moving into my parents' home (5 adults, toddler,3 cats) for financial reasons, she stopped using a litter box (mostly urinating but occasionally pooping). Multiple vet visits have confirmed she is completely healthy. We have tried as many behavioral tips that are possible in our situation(limited space for re-training). I truly believe she would be happier & healthier as an "only cat child" with a litter box unavailable to any other cats & a little confined space retraining. This is one of the hardest decisions I've ever made & hate the thought of sending her somewhere where her life/health/happiness may be jeopardized only because she has not been given the attention she deserves.

Story
Dilute Tabico DelightGrace is such a fun kitten. Perfect mix of spunk and cuddle. LOVES other cats and dogs and all humans. Adores cuddling up at the end of a long day of play on a lap with a heated blanket on it. Has the funniest sound she makes when she is expressing her displeasure at your doing something she doesn’t like (like not providing treats on demand).  December 16, 2024, 3:51 pm

Story
Porsche is a young cat with a rough start. He and his brother were dumped on a porch in the rain. We are working to prove to him he is safe and will never be abandoned again. He has gotten so brave, he is accepting some pets and does not run when approached. He is looking for a patient home to let him continue to grow into the friendly cat we know he will become outside of the shelter environment. You aren't seeing things, he and his brother are mirror twins! Porsche has more orange on his left cheek and Audi has the same amount but on his right cheek! The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.  Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws. If you are interested in any of our animals please fill out an application on our website www.townandcountryanimalrescue.org After you have submitted an application and been approved, a Cat Team member will reach out to set up a “meet and greet” between you and the pet. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the cat team members or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.** Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission ##2094923##

Story
Audi is a young cat looking for a place to call home. He and his brother were abandoned on a porch in the rain. Audi escaped and spent a week in the wild and did not have a good experience. Once caught he stayed hidden at the shelter whenever possible. He was so scared, we are trying to prove to him he is safe and protected. He has made great strides trusting pets to his paws and sometimes doesn't hide when you catch him exploring. We are excited to see him flourish outside of the shelter environment. Story
Persephone is a beautiful cream-colored cat with one green eye and one blue eye. She is absolutely terrified of the shelter environment. She and her sister Styx originally came from a closed animal shelter in Kansas and were adopted together 4 years ago. Both girls were returned to us when their human moved in with a family full of allergies. After a few years in her previous home, she refused all human contact. She came to us seriously matted and angry. After a full haircut, she looks much better but is still terrified and scared. The shelter is not a good placement for her, but we are doing our best. She and her sister will need the most patience of any cat we have seen in quite some time.  The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.  Please note, that we do NOT allow the declawing of any cat or kitten we adopt unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws.
