Story
Meet Elemenopie! Are you ready to meet a truly unique kitty? Elemenopie is an adult female Tortie with a personality as big as her frame (and she’s one LARGE cat—just naturally huge, not overweight!). She’s the queen of relaxation and spends her days lounging around and gazing out the window, keeping an eye on the world outside. This sweet girl is a people-lover at heart. She’s content with the simple things in life: a cozy spot by the window, a steady supply of food, and the love of her favorite human. While she may need a little warm-up time to adjust to other cats, once she’s settled, she’s happy to coexist and generally just ignores them.Elemenopie is the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back, affectionate feline friend. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this special girl, she’s ready to bring her gentle, loving presence into your life.Paperwork? She’s got it all covered—she’s ready to go!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Meet Lavender – the “spicy” girl who’s learning to play and trust! Lavender has been very slow to come out of her shell, but with the help of 12 crazy kittens, she’s started exploring more and occasionally even playing! She may warm up with time and will sometimes let you pet her, but she’ll likely hiss the whole time. Despite her spicy exterior, Lavender is a sweet and shy girl who craves affection but needs a patient, understanding home where she can feel safe and secure. Lavender’s journey has been one of growth and progress. She started out as the “spiciest” kitten we’ve ever had, hissing and keeping her distance, though she still craved love and attention. With the help of a foster home, she’s come a long way. Lavender now enjoys the company of other cats, especially her feline friend, and has even let her foster mom touch her for the first time! Lavender is an incredibly curious girl who loves to observe what’s going on around her, and while she’s still shy about close contact, she does love her lickable treats and has excellent litter box habits. She’s also respectful around kids and babies. With her quiet and reserved nature, Lavender would thrive in a calm home with an experienced adopter who’s ready to give her the time she needs to fully trust and bloom. If you’re looking for a special, unique companion who’s ready to take her relationship with you one step at a time, Lavender is waiting for a home where she can continue her journey toward love and comfort. Contact us at info@rescuemovement.com or text/call 314-324-3273 to learn more about adopting Lavender.

Story
Hi!! My name is Abby. I was rescued from Jefferson County Animal Control along with my 4 kittens. The kittens have all been adopted, but I am still looking for my furever home. I am a very pretty, quiet girl who usually minds her own business. I am very shy and will hide when visitors come over. I spend most of my time on a perch where I can nap in peace. Usually I just watch all the activity, but occasionally I will chase the laser light. My favorite thing to do is to nap on my foster Dad’s lap. I’ll even share his lap with other kitties.I’m not a cuddly cat, but will come to you when I want attention. I get freaked out if you try to pick me up, so you have to wait for me to come to you. I used to be very skittish but have come a long way recently. I will even let you walk up and pet me most of the time now. Just a few months ago I would have run away and hidden.I would probably be happiest being the only cat in the house, but I might consider sharing my humans with another cat if it wasn’t aggressive. I am used to dogs and I don’t really mind them. We just leave each other alone. I have not been around children, but would not do well with them since I am so shy and afraid to be picked up. I might be happiest in a quiet home with an older adult (probably a man) who would love to spoil me and give me a nice comfy lap to sleep on.I will need a special family who is patient with me while I get used to new surroundings. I’m not too adventurous when it comes to new things. But if you give me time I just might be your new lap cat!My adoption fee is $75.00 and includes all testing, spaying, microchipping. I am also up-to-date on shots. If you’d like to meet me, please contact my foster Mom. I don’t go to adoption events because I get too scared there, so we would need to make other arrangements to get acquainted. I’ll be ready when you are!DeniseFoster Mom314.322.5607 - celljdbaisch@att.netWe only adopt to people in the St. Louis METRO area. Story
I have a best friend Stublet. Maybe you would consider adopting us both!Dustin is big cat. He is very active and loves to run up and down the stairs and play with balls. He's not so much of a lover but more of a manly- like cat. He does like sitting on laps. If you want him to want him to go somewhere all you need to do is to put dry food in a bowl and shake it and he will follow you anywhere. He gets along with other cats and dogs. Please contact my foster mom Kate at 314-550-5523We only adopt to people in the St. Louis METRO area.
