Story
Adoption fee fully sponsored by Jared and Erica Mackall.Currently one of our longest stay cats, Toyota, at only 8 months old, has been here for over 6 months of her life! No matter how many tabbies we have at any given time, Toyota is unmistakable in a sea of brown and white tiger striping -- the comically sour expression on her tiny little face alone gives her away every time. Although she may look beyond grouchy in all her photos, she's just got a case of RBF - don't listen to her. She craves affection and to find her special person just as much as any other cat out there.Toyota and her littermates had a rocky start to their early life. Despite being raised inside, they had only ever been around one person inside a bathroom. When we got them, their stomachs were distended with worms and their ears were filled with mites. Many were anemic from the amount of fleas on them, and they reeked for weeks. They didn't even know how to use the litterbox at first - which although they were still kittens, most kittens that we get that are even younger than them are already litterbox trained. Despite how frightened and unwell they were, this whole group put a brave face on and bore their longer-than-usual quarantine time, with lots of pokes, prods, and medicines, with surprising good nature. Now as a "teenager," Toyota definitely prefers to hang out in quieter or less chaotic situations than our cat room during the day. She has never been mean, and once you win her heart and remind her that she does, indeed, love pets and cuddles, she's just like any other kitten. If you'd like to meet Toyota, pop in during our open hours, email adopt.ffaa@gmail.com for any questions, or fill out our online application and we will get in contact with you! https://www.ffaaneosho.org/cat-application.html
