Story
We have had Blizzard and Sirius Black for seven year. They are a bonded pair and have been since birth, and they share litter boxes. We believe they are half siblings from joint litters. Unfortunately we are having behavioral issues from the cats regarding our young children. They will pee just on our kids' toys and in our kids' rooms. We have exhausted every resource and remedy but think that it is time for the cats to find another home, without young children. We love Sirius and Blizzard, so hopefully your home is ready to accept these two cuddly cats. We will be happy to provide you with the cat supplies we have to help with the transition.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Apple Cider, the sweetest, most gentle mama you’ll ever meet! This lovely lady has been taking care of her six rambunctious kittens, and she’s done it with such grace. Her little ones climb all over her like she's their personal jungle gym, and Apple Cider never complains—just watches over them with endless patience and care. Apple Cider may be a bit nervous around people when they’re standing, but if you sit down nearby, she’ll come right over for pets and snuggles. As soon as she gets some affection, she starts purring instantly! She’s the perfect cuddle buddy, always happy to find a warm, quiet spot to curl up in after a long day of kitten-watching. One of Apple Cider’s most charming features is her extra toes—she’s a polydactyl kitty with six or seven toes on each paw! It makes her even more unique and adorable. If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion with a heart of gold, Apple Cider is your girl. She’s ready to find a forever home where she can continue being her sweet, affectionate self. Could that be with you?   Apple Cider is from a stray surrender with her 6 kittens. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Winnie is a typical kitten that loves to cuddle and play. And she's absolutely gorgeous - she has beautiful coloring. She enjoys snuggling, especially with her sister Robin. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could both be adopted together?! Winnie is from a stray surrender with 4 siblings. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 14, 2024, 6:29 pm

Story
MARBLE / 11.5 YEARS / DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR CAT Marble came to Grey Face due to her former owner passing away. She loves her naps, laying on the floor and getting the occasional catnip treat. Marble also likes to be brushed and snuggle by your side. She would love multiple scratching posts and maybe some indoor grass, as she did go outside occasionally with her prior owner and loved the grass. Marble was overweight when she first came to Grey Face, but has successfully lost her excess weight with the help of her dedicated foster. She's ideally looking for someone that can continue to pay attention to her diet and portion feed her on a regular schedule. Dogs: No - Marble is very afraid of dogs! Cats: Yes - but is a bit more on the dominant side Kids: Yes, older children Health Concerns: None If you're interested in adopting Marble, please fill out an adoption application here: https://www.greyfacerescue.org/cat-adoption-application November 4, 2024, 7:47 pm

Story
RALPHY / 12.5 YEARS / DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR CAT Ralphy and his brother (Max) are two big buddies who have spent their whole lives attached at the hip. They are a strongly bonded pair who enjoy long days in each other’s company and quiet afternoons snuggling in the sunshine. Ralphy and Max are easily stressed by young, energetic, children so they’re hoping to find a quiet new home so they can keep their “snooze game” going strong. Ralphy and Max have been pretty shaken up with their recent changes in life so are hoping to find a quiet home where they can slowly decompress at their own speed. Dogs: Unknown Cats: Ralphy and Max have been best friends since birth. They may also enjoy the company of other calm, older cats like them. Kids: No – Older, respectful children only. Ralphy and Max were very stressed by the young children in their former family, so their new home would ideally not have children under 10 years of age. Health Concerns: Ralphy is a tad too chonky for his own good at 20 lbs, so Ralphy should be fed portioned meals and engage in a light  exercise plan to help encourage safe weight loss. If you're interested in adopting Ralphy and Max, please fill out an adoption application here:     http://www.greyfacerescue.org/cat-adoption-application November 6, 2024, 7:28 pm
