Her adoption fee is $80 and she will be adopted as an indoor only cat. To meet Mango or any of our other cats, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit our simple online application.  You must be 21 to adopt from MCHS. We will get in touch to set up a meeting time.  Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN.  We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH.  We are just past our local airport.  THANKS!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 10:55 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lucy was found pregnant and abandoned in an Austin neighborhood on 3/21/21.  She had her kittens and was a great momma.  Lucy is now spayed and current on shots.  She has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV.  She is about 2 to 3 years of age.  We are looking for a loving, patient, indoor only home for Lucy.  She would do best in a home without small children, because she will occasionally nip.   Her adoption fee is $80.  A pet porter is required at the time of adoption and you must be 21 to adopt from MCHS.  To meet Lucy or any of our other cats, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit our online application.  We will review and get in touch to set up a meeting time.  Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN.  We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH.  We are just past our local airport.  Thanks!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 10:55 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ava was abandoned in an Austin MN neighborhood and brought to us.  She is a very sweet-minded cat who is about 1 to 2 years old as of 2022.  She is now spayed and current on shots.  Ava has tested positive for FIV and neg for feline leukemia.  FIV has not hindered Ava in any way, which is usually the case as long as the cat is well cared for!  We are looking for a loving, indoor only home for this girl.  You must be 21 to adopt from MCHS and a pet carrier is required at the time of adoption.  Because Ava is FIV positive, we are waiving the adoption fee to the right home. To meet Ava or any of our other cats, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit our online application.  We will review and get in touch to set up a meeting time.  Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN.  We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH.  We are just past our local airport.  THANKS.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 10:55 am

Story
Dovey was born in June of 2021 with her three brothers on an acreage near Albert Lea. Dovey has worked hard on her trust issues and is now ready to provide love and companionship to some very lucky humans! She is a curious and playful girl who loves her kitty friends and is learning that laps are a pretty great place to be! Due to her wilder start in life, she will probably thrive best in a home with adults and older children, and will need a bit of time and patience to allow her wonderful personality to bloom! She is also an avid fly hunter, bird watcher and loves tailbone scratches! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at freeborncohumanesociety@gmail.com, send us a message on Facebook, or call or text 507-377-8501.

Story
Felix and his siblings came to us after being found as strays when they were around two months old. We believe Felix was born in August of 2021, and would do well with older children and other animals with proper introduction. Felix is one of 6 in his litter and he is the shy guy of the group. He is very quiet and a bit reserved, but does like to be petted once he knows you. He also enjoys cuddling with his kitty friends and would prefer to have a feline friend in his new home! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Story
Say hey to Doll! Doll came to us after being live trapped during a TNR project when she was around 6 weeks old. We believe she was born in October of 2021. When Doll first came to us she was VERY scared of humans and shelter life. Since then she has warmed up and likes to be petted, get a few tummy rubs and maybe the occasional tail bone scratch once she gets to know you. She will roll over and purr for you but is still nervous of loud noises and fast movements. She will need some extra time to adjust in her new home, and would do best in a home with older calmer children and animals. She is gaining more confidence every day with humans, and will make a wonderful kitty for someone that will give her the time she needs to settle in. All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee.
