Calico kittens & cats in Sterling Heights, Michigan

Donna & Marie were rescued after someone passed away. We were called in to help with cats that were left behind. We found the girls living together in a yard kennel, a shed-type fenced in. They were vetted and well fed, but living a no-frills life in captivity. They depended on each other for companionship and a sense of security. They were not afraid of people, but had seemingly been awhile since anyone interacted with them. We took them into foster where it took some time to gain their trust and build their confidence. They just huddled together under their blankets when someone entered their room. On camera, we could see them emerge when they were alone. We gave them the time they needed to decompress, then we began the process of rehabbing them socially. Their foster has spoiled them with good food and treats, catnip, more toys then they've ever seen, comfy cat beds and window seats. Learning all these things are for them to enjoy, has opened a whole new world that they have embraced. They have warmed up to people and enjoy playtime, petting and brushing. They still get nervous at times and will need a calm, quiet environment with someone who is patient and can continue to build up their self esteem. They are very sweet girls who never knew their worth, but will be a true blessing as loyal companions. Donna is the gorgeous gray tabby with the most amazing crystal green eyes. Marie is the beautiful calico of rich colors, she only has half a tail for reason unknown. They are fixed and fully vetted, well mannered, litter box trained. We are uncertain of their age, adults estimated possibly 5+ years old.

We adopted Cactus from Michigan Animal Rescue League in 2018 when she was 3 years old. We have had her for 6 years and she is currently 9 years old. She is very shy but also very loyal. She loves to snuggle once she feels comfortable. She loves to play specifically with toys that you can dangle in front of her. She is strictly an indoor cat and does best being the only animal in the home. She truly is a very sweet girl if you take the time to make her feel comfortable in her environment!

She’s a very petite, quiet girl who enjoys her alone time and naps on her bed or her cozy cat cave. She is very shy at first but once she knows she’s safe, she loves to take naps with you too on the couch. And she loves chin and neck scratches, belly rubs and her paws massaged. Once she is comfortable with you, she will even let you give her a belly rub and massage her paws! Noella is not a fan of playing, loud noises, or storms. She would do best in a quieter, low traffic home and no children. Once she opens up to you, she will purr the entire time you are petting her! She isn't bothered by other kitties but has lived most of her time in her foster home as the only animal. She deserves the best forever home with someone that will be patient and allow her plenty of time to acclimate and feel comfortable. Noella really is the absolute sweetest girl! We are looking to rehome our beautiful Calico, Penelope. We love her so much but unfortunately with our two toddlers, busy schedules, and unmanageable allergies we cannot go on to be her caretakers. We actually rescued Penelope from a main road. She was running down traffic and I got out of the car to go get her. After some searching, I found little Penelope. We had no intentions of keeping her because we know that we do not have the right time to contribute. She was estimated to be 5 weeks old and was being bottle fed when I first found her. Since then, she has been fully vaccinated, litter trained, spayed and 6 months old now. We are looking for a family to love her and be around her. She loves cuddles, attention, treats and she is good with children. She does not shed much at all from what I have noticed. She is playful, energetic, fun.

This sweet feline was found living as a stray and when her rescuer (now foster) began providing food, it was discovered she was pregnant. In the first few weeks, she was quite confused, but with patience and love, her gentler, playful nature began to shine through. After successfully delivering and raising her kittens, she is now ready for her furever home. She is friendly on her own terms. She is a bit of a gentle nipper, especially when she is hungry, so we think she would do best with adults and older children that understand how to interact with her. She is playful and enjoys chasing after anything attached to the end of a string. She also loves to lay on cardboard. May's new family must understand cats and have the patience while earning her trust. She is a wonderful cat who deserves a loving home. Arthur takes three heart medications and sees a veterinary cardiologist regularly. ** Hi, everybody! I’m Arthur, and I’m the adorkable boy of your dreams! I came to Tigerlily with my mama and sisters after a nice person brought us inside and contacted animal control. I was just a wee boy then with my eyes barely open, so the comforts of inside and home life are all I’ve ever known. I’m a loud-purring, super-playful boy who loves watching the world outside, and loves toys and playing fetch! I will happily play fetch with a Q-tip or catnip puff until I’m ready to nap. I get along really well with my older foster sibling cats, especially my foster uncle, who will cuddle and play with me. I definitely want a friendly cat to play with in my forever home. I love when my foster cousins visit -- they're a little older than me, and I have a blast cuddling and playing with them! My foster mom says I would probably be fine with older, quieter human kids, but not little kids or dogs because of my heart condition. About my heart -- I have rare heart conditions called endomyocardial fibrosis and Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, along with other resulting cardiac issues. I see a veterinary cardiologist regularly and take three different medications, but I have no restrictions on my activity! I can play as much as I want to. My cardiologist says that I will likely have a shorter life than other cats, but nobody can know for sure (she knew a senior cat with my condition). I am determined to have the best life I can and to do as much as I can with whatever time I have. Life is good! My forever family should be committed to giving me my medications daily and taking me to my cardiologist and regular vet as needed. I love to cuddle with my foster mama or just sit right by her while she works. I snuggle up next to her every night at bedtime, at just the right place for her to pet me. She is very helpful with dishes by making sure the dishwasher is loaded correctly. She loves to play with string and hunt her toy mice. She is shy around new people, but a good head rub behind the ears will help put her at ease. Lola will nibble from time to time, so she would do best in a home with older children. Lola gets along very well with other cats with proper introductions. She would love to be adopted with sister and best friend, Georgie!
