Story
Penny is 5 years old and was born sometime in the month of May 2019. She was found on the streets of CT and we adopted her from a rescue. We have loved having Penny in our home these past 5 years. Within the last couple of years Penny has been having GI issues with chronic diarrhea. She's undergone blood work, parasite testing and put on a Rx food. All testing revealed no issues. We kept her on the food for quite some time, but it didn't make much of a difference, so she's back on a non rx food for a sensitive stomach. The vet discussed the possibility of doing further testing and trying other types of rx foods, although our budget does not allow it at this time. Penny still has diarrhea, and sometimes goes outside the litter box. She needs a home that can afford further testing, as well as the potential of trying different diets or medications to ease her stomach discomfort. We will absolutely miss her!! She is such a sweet, loving, friendly cuddly cat.

Adoption Donation   $249 Located:  RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: approx  10 months old as of 1/25/25      If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  sssmpx3@gmail.com   Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Sssmpx3@gmail.com Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. Story
Poor Ginger Snap has been up for adoption for such a long time simply because she can not tolerated other cats and needs a home of her own to rule over. :( Are you that special family? If so, please fill out an adoption application. She is waiting for YOU! Ginger Snap is initially shy but loves to play and cuddle once she settles in. Her favorite toy is the String-on-a-Stick. She is loves belly rubs and is learning to be a lap cat. She loves attention and has a nice purrrrrr! She is not tolerating the other cat in the home. So, she would do best as an only cat.

Story
I adopted Vena from my local humane society. She had been neglected and abused. She needed medical attention and rehabilitation. Today Vena is medically healthy! Vena is 12 years old and has learned that touch can be loving. Because of her past, she is a shy cat who NEEDS a quiet home with no young children. Her boundaries should be respected. She MUST be the only pet in the home, she doesn’t like other cats and is afraid of dogs. Vena will lay beside you and take all the gentle pets you give her. She is very loving. She will play for short spirts of time with a laser light, and her tail. She has not showed interest in cat toys. Her urinary tract food is non-prescription and affordable. I will give you an unopened bag of her food and the rest of her prebiotic powder, that I put on her food daily. Vena has so much love and joy to share with the right adopter/home.
