My sister got the cat at Dakin Humane Society. The cat is calico, she is four years old, she is very friendly with adults and children. So she can go to a family. She is very playful, calm, and friendly. She, unfortunately, takes medication for feline herpes, that my sister is unable to pay for any longer. But she is a very sweet cat, who is extremely happy and good with people. My sister is moving soon and can’t take the cat with her. So we would like to find her a good home. Meet Holly Hobby Holly Hobby is a stunning dilute calico beauty with mesmerizing golden eyes and a quiet grace that will melt your heart. Holly loves to be petted and will look at you with those eyes so that you can't help but oblige! Petting her is very satisfying because she stretches her body into your hand to get the most out of your offered pets. Holly is a gentle girl who thrives in a nurturing environment, as well as having a flare of the calico confidence. She is looking for a warm companion who is happy to hand out pets. She is a quiet, easy kitty who requests pets by reaching out a paw and cute mew, and then leans into enjoy them. She is on a prescription diet to prevent crystals in her bladder. She eats her prescription food well. That is the only special care she needs. She will do best in a home with adults or a kind-hearted singleton. She also needs people who understand that not every cat enjoys being picked up. When her foster picks her up, Holly just lodges her complaint with management by squiggling and squirming. Sneezy is a sweet, playful little girl who is a bit shy. She is bonded with her sister, Happy, and they must be adopted together. Sneezy is a bit shy and will take some time to warm up. She needs a patient adopter and a calm home that will respect her quieter demeanor and allow her to feel safe. Once she warms up to you, she is very affectionate and playful. Her foster mom writes, " It will take some time for them to warm up to you but when they do they will love you. They love running around and playing and they love to cuddle with you on the bed. Laying with me and purrrring is their favorite thing 🩷🩷" The total adoption fee for Happy and Sneezy together is $500.

Noel is what is known as a "Spirit Cat." This means that she was born outdoors and did not receive human contact in her first 2 crucial months of life, making her wary of people. She is playful, curious, and comfortable in a house but she may never be a lap cat. Seh like to jump up on her foster mom's bed while her foster mom reads before bed but will not yet let any people touch her willingly. Noel loves other cats and needs a cat companion in her home. She would love to be adopted with her friend Madonna, another Spirit Cat in her foster home, and we would offer a discount for adopting both together. However, Noel would do well in any home with a young, playful cat (she really loves her foster home's pet cat and cuddles with him whenever she has the chance). Noel would be great for a home with a cat who is lonely and in need of a friend, with adopters who are looking for a low-maintenance cat who needs very little from humans. Sweet Simba needs a special adopter. Simba has a significant heart defect and likely will only live a few more years at most. It is impossible to know when his heart will be unable to continue and he could only have a few months of life left. He is on medication twice daily, which he takes mixed into his food. He is very good-natured and affectionate and really deserves a home to make his short life his best life. He is currently in foster care but he does not do well with other cats and so has to spend all his time in a room separate from the other cats in his home. He is comfortable and well-cared-for, but we really want him to be able to live in a home where he can explore at will, lay in his human's lap, and sleep on a cozy bed or couch. Ideally, he would like to be an only cat, but we would consider a home with one other mellow cat. Simba is affectionate, friendly, easy-going, and loving- just a great pet all around. We know it's asking a lot for someone to take on a cat knowing they might lose him in a short time, but we are hopeful that someone will understand the value in giving a very deserving cat a loving home, even if only for a short time. This type of kindness not only helps the cat, but also deepens our own souls and adds richness and meaning to our lives. Ella's Feline Rescue Mission will pay for all Simba's ongoing cardiac care (adopter will be responsible for routine wellness exams and minor illnesses) and will provide respite care when an adopter travels and can't do his daily meds.
