Story
Meet these 3 sweet sisters!    Talk about kittens that love to play but also enjoy our time leisurely lounging around cat trees. Some of our favorite toys are toy mice and balls, cat tunnels, wand toys, and don't forget the laser pointer. We love all the kitty treats, push up treats, brushing, and catnip our foster gives us. We really are love bugs. We really want to be adopted with one of our siblings.  We are too cute and quickly warm up with food, play and lots of pets and love.  Playing cat fishing online cat games is fun times for us too. Our names are Pippie, Sweet Pea Penelope, and Berkley.   Penelope nicknamed Sweet Pea is super sweet and loves attention. Her fur is so soft and silky. She is the tiniest girl in the trio, too cute. Sweet Pea also is a loud purrer and like her nickname so very sweet. Penelope loves getting all the love and attention she can get.  To be considered for Penelope's forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Penelope is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.) Story
My name is Lady Sushi and I am a beautiful Calico girl who is about 7 months old and I'm looking for a wonderful home. Being a little older as a kitten means that I have gotten all the crazy kitten antics out of my system.  I am ready to become the elegant Calico lady that God created me to become.  I have a sister Dot who is beautiful too, just in case you might be looking for a pair of really pretty girls to adopt.  We don’t need to go together, but it would be nice.If you are looking for a beautiful cat or two please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm

Story
Meet Little One, a 5 month old calico female. Little One is the coolest kitten ever! She is so full of life. She loves everyone and everything. She enjoys playing with the cats and dogs in the house and will even do zoomies around the house and chase her tail. She is a T.V. show in herself. She is a great bed snuggler and enjoys watching a good movie. I will miss her very much. Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption or email ccrtennessee@gmail.com .December 2, 2024, 1:01 pm

Story
Tivali. ...Tee-vah-lee! The name alone rolls off the tongue.  Meaning divine, or gift of god, that certainly describes this darling kitten.  This petite little Tabico, (tabby and calico mix) has striking markings.  Tivali has tabby stripes overlaying some of her calico coloring, which are highlighted by her beautiful snow white fur.  And then you see that face, with those green eyes, and dotted by a pink little nose.  Your heart will start to melt!  We estimate her birthday as August 1, but you would not know it from her size.  She is a tiny little lady, with an immediate affection for her foster.  Tivali lights up when she is greeted with cuddling arms and a gentle touch,  Her motor comes on immediately.  She is a little purr-ball.  But like most kittens in a new place, she can startle easily.  Who doesn’t?  Tivali likes to find her little space where she feels safe.  Again, who doesn’t?  But this love comes right out to get some head scratches, and to play with that funny little mouse.  And that ball that is trapped in the ring - ‘how do I get that out’, she asks herself.  You can watch her bat that ball around and around!  She attracts attention from the four other fosters in the room, all of different ages.  Tivali holds her own, with maybe an occasional fuss, which is quickly resolved.  She has already made friends with another kitten her size, and there are sure to be hours of chasing, tower climbing, and foster loving to come.  Unless you grab her up first.  She is soon to melt someone’s heart.  Let Tivali be your gift to yourself.  How simply divine that would be!  If you are interested in this little love, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com, and be sure to mention where you live, city and state.  December 16, 2024, 8:11 pm

This gorgeous, little female calico is called Nicolette. And she is absolutely stunning.  Apparently this 10 week, old kitten that weighs barely. Two pounds was found beside an apartment complex dumpster in the frigid cold of Tennessee.   She is gaining good weight and being dewormed. And what a loving little girl she is.   If you are interested in making this little one part of your holiday celebration, wrute to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com,   Critter Cavalry Rescue December 19, 2024, 4:18 pm

Story
Neutered MaleAge: 1 YearWhite and GrayDomestic Short HairA442754 More about Desmond: I am energetic and playful, and I am looking for a family who is excited to keep me busy with appropriate outlets for my energy! I am a snuggly lap cat once I have had an opportunity to settle in. I struggle with transitions so I am looking for an adopter willing to give me as much time as I need to settle in. This may take a couple of weeks or longer, but it will be worth it in the end!My success will be dependent on how well my adopter is able to read and understand my cat-body language. It is recommended that I be set up in my own space (an extra bedroom or bathroom) - a space that people or pets will not use unless going in to clean or feed. I should be left alone initially as I adjust. This space should include plenty of hiding places, ideally with access to a vertical surface such as a cat tree or a cat-proofed shelf. I can gradually be given more access to the home when I am confidently moving about my environment with relaxed body language when my adopter visits me in my room. I may be conflicted about close handling/petting. I should be thought of as a `pet myself on you` kind of cat until I am comfortable with my adopter, versus them coming up to me. Once petting has been initiated, use `consent tests` ... remove hands briefly to give me an opportunity to opt back into pets, or show I am all done. The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon - 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Beard: I will need a VERY patient, cat-savvy adopter who can read my body language and give me time to blossom into my true personality. Expectations should be set that it is unknown how long it will take for me to adapt (possibly weeks to months) and I might never become super social, but more of a roommate. I will be ideal for a gentle, quiet adopter looking to help out a cat, but one who has low expectations for who I am, and what I might become. It is not known what I will be like in a home environment. I came from an overcrowded home with lots of other cats. I have been using my litter box consistently here at the shelter, but my adopter needs to provide me with a slow litter box introduction since it is unclear what my litter box habits were in my previous home. It is recommended that I be set up in my own space (an extra bedroom or bathroom) a space that people or pets will not use unless going in to clean or feed. This will allow for protected contact along with providing a safe space for me. In my previous home there were multiple cats, but we do not know how we interacted with one another. I should not be introduced to existing pets in my new home until I have had a chance to adjust to my new environment on my own. Compatibility:Cats: YES!!! It would be best to go to a home with a confident feline friend that I can bond with and who can show me the ropes. I am most likely going to be a `cat`s cat` versus a `people`s cat`.Dogs: No history possibly if mellow and cat-savvyKids: Older, quiet, cat-savvy The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.

Story
This cat is part of our Working Cat Program! This program is for cats that are not well suited for an indoor-only type lifestyle but would thrive in environments with more space, a job, and/or less pressure from humans and other pets. This cat originally came to us from the outdoors so we don`t know a lot about his past. While they are used to people being in somewhat close proximity to feed and care for them, these are not currently social cats but would make great ‘behind the scenes’ working cats! Interested adopters must have a safe, secure structure or barn for a working cat and be able to provide adequate time for acclimation. If you are interested, please give us a call today! If you would like to learn more about the Working Cat Program, or would like to fill out an application, please visit: www.mspca.org/barncat
