Story
She is very affectionate towards humans, she will demand constant attention. Dose not have front claws and is not a very large cat. She needs a home preferably away from other pets as her last experience with another more aggressive cat has set her completely off living with other cats. She will not be outwardly aggressive with dogs after adjustment, bit is playfully aggressive with large dogs.

Story
If you look at this little girl’s left ear, you will notice she has an eartip. That means she was trapped from a feral cat colony to be spayed/vaccinated and released. Sometimes we find some that are actually not feral just timid and scared. So, we decided to keep Janie with us and work on her socialization. She has come so far and we all love her but she is still timid and cautious with strangers. She will take a bit of time to trust you but she will and then she is like a dog. She waits for you at the door and is so happy to see you. She gets along good with other cats and loves to play. Give her a chance, you wont be sorry! Janie, girl, born approx. 2017

Story
Victoria is a lovely calico cat with a sweet and affectionate nature. She adores spending time with her favorite person, especially when it means sitting on their lap or resting peacefully by their side. Victoria is looking for a quiet, loving home where she can be the center of attention, as she would do best as the only pet. If you’re in search of a loyal companion who will bring warmth and comfort to your life, Victoria is ready to find her forever home with you.

Story
Monkey, a 13-year-old front-declawed calico kitty, is super sweet and affectionate. Her dad passed away a few months ago and she's in need of a new home now. She would like a home where she gets a lot of attention and love, as her dad was a retired gentleman and doted on her all her life. She sure misses him. Nosey, a younger sister to Monkey, is a 5-year-old, female spayed grey tabby. She's also affectionate and loving and gets along famously with Monkey. They can be adopted into separate homes; however, Nosey does not like any other cats but Monkey, so Nosey will need to be in a single-cat household if these two are separated. Please call/text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you're interested in making Nosey and/or Monkey part of your family. They are in the KC metro but transport might be available to the right home.

Story
This sweet cat is semi-feral has been with ABF for an extended period.  While some progress has been made, there is still wariness of human contact and he will tend to avoid interaction.  This cat has never been exposed to outdoor elements or hunting, so would not be suitable as a barn cat. He is used to living in an air conditioned and heated building with other cats in a very clean room that has lots of windows and is excellent at using the litter box. We would love for him to have a home of his own where he could continue to thrive.

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Gilligan loves other cats; he must have a feline companion to feel safe. He’s a scaredy cat, too. He came from a terrible hoarding situation with poor conditions, little food, and almost 100 cats, mostly in cages. It made him fearful, but when he’s comfortable he is so loving with a big purr. Gilligan needs an understanding, patient owner. Food is the key to his heart. He loves to play, so playtime with you and/or his cat friend(s) makes him happy. In his foster home, he is out and about all day but he’s shy about being touched and will often run, unless it’s wet food time or bedtime. He sleeps on the bed with his foster mom and other cats and loves a morning session of petting. When picked up, he likes to be held close, otherwise he will get scared and jump.  His foster mom loves him and hopes there is a person or family that will love him as much, despite his quirks. He won’t show his charms at first. Gilligan will need to acclimate to his new home and people, but he’s worth it. He hasn’t been around kids and older ones are preferred as he is skittish with sudden movements and loud noises. He would probably adapt to an easy going dog, and he likes other animals. Gilligan was born approximately November 1, 2021, and his adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is half off. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Come see this sweetheart at our adoption center this weekend!  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  November 4, 2024, 10:44 pm

Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Robbie and Star are foster friends who have bonded with each other and want to stay together furever. Star is a beautiful tortie girl who likes to be petted and to sit on her cat tree looking out the window. Robbie is a gorgeous orange and white tabby boy who loves his Star. They are both shy kitties and will need a quiet, patient, cat-saavy home where they are able to relax and get to know their humans. Star and Robbie haven't been around kids, but older ones who could play with them and be patient should be fine. Star is not a fan of being picked up or a fan of her carrier so they will need to be appointment-only kitties. Let us know when you would like to meet these two sweethearts.  Star was born approximately March 27, 2019, and Robbie was born approximately September 3, 2022. Their combined adoption fee $167.50, which includes $20 each for microchips. They are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Feta is a very sweet, very shy little girl. She’s had a tough go of her first year of life, and is ready to settle down and stay put in her forever home. She spends her days snuggled up in her favorite spot--her cat tower. It’s her safe space. Feta’s shyness might keep her from approaching you for pets, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t enjoy them. She loves a good back scratch and will roll over, get comfy, and make biscuits to show her appreciation.  Feta needs a family that will be patient with her anxiety, and accepting of her shy personality. She may not be the most snuggly cat, but she’s so sweet, gentle, and curious. We feel she will become less shy as she settles into her forever home and has space to roam and explore her house.  Feta does like to hide if she can find a hiding spot, so it’s probably best for Feta to be in a home with few tiny spaces where she can get stuck. She would do best in a home without dogs. We think she would do okay with other (friendly) cats with a slow introduction.  Feta was born approximately January 5, 2022, and her adoption fee, including a microchip, is $105, or adopt 2, and the second is half off. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above.
