Story
Meet Mollie 🧡🐾 Mollie is a beautiful calico girl who is a bit more independent at first, but once she warms up, she becomes a total snuggle bug. She loves cozy spots, quiet company, and will happily curl up with you once she feels safe and comfortable. She does well with other cats and dogs, she just needs a little extra time to adjust to new animals and new people. Once she settles in, her sweet, gentle personality really shines. We need to rehome her through no fault of her own due to my husband’s allergies becoming unmanageable. Mollie deserves a loving, calm home where she can be herself and bond at her own pace. She will come with food, treats, toys and a cat tower. If you like to meet Mollie or learn more, please reach out. She is a sweet girl who will be a loyal companion once she chooses you. 🧡🐾

Story
Meet Nya! Nya is the of her litter kitty of her litter mates. She is almost 5 yrs old. She can be very timid at first and takes her time to settle but once she does she is quite active and social when she wants to be. To extremely as she enjoys her independence and space. She is very vocal too depending on the day. She was found on the side of the road with 3 of her litter mates in a box. Barely 4 wks old. Nya is beautiful and so sweet once comfortable with her surroundings. She loves all cats, dogs, and critters of all sizes. Nya is very independent and likes it that way. A home with other pets is preferred. Nya is fully vetted spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Story
We are looking to re-home a bonded trio of indoor cats. Dharma was a stray that we took in and she has two kittens, Zuko and Simha. They have all been spayed/neutered. We have had them for a couple years. (We have four other cats already and are moving into a smaller house, otherwise, we would keep them all.) They're great cats. I have copies of all of their medical records. They are indoor cats but like to play outside in a pin/catio when the weather is nice. We have an automated litter box, an automated feeder, and a 10x20 ft outdoor pin that we would be willing to sell for a reasonable price if someone adopts all three of them and keeps them together. I haven't really been walking them or taking them to the park much, but they have all been walked with a leash and harness before.

Story
WE ARE NOT IN MUNCIE. We are in Indy. Wendy is a 3 year old calico. She is a little big. We have been fostering her for 7 months now, trying to find her forever home. She does have behavioral issues - she will let you pet her but only on her terms. When she is ready to be done she attacks your hand and runs away. We do not know why. She hates other animals. She will instigate attacks on our other cats if they are near her. She would do best if she is in a home where she is the only pet. She does enjoy to cuddle and sleep on you if she likes you. She likes to be in whatever room I am in. She likes cat trees and sleeping under blankets. You will most likely find her in a private spot such as under the bed or table. She does like to sit in the window. We are not sure of her shot records. She needs an experienced cat owner who has patience to work on her attitude. I feel she feels threatened by our male cats and would feel better if she could relax alone without the presence of animals.

Story
Fatboy & RudyWe have had these names our entire lives, and now that we`re 14 years and 7 months old, we`re accustomed to them. However, at only 9.3 pounds, my name isn`t accurate. Littermates and lifelong best friends, we are a two-for-one package deal. We lived with our owner for thirteen years, but she could no longer afford to keep us. When we arrived, we were in bad shape due to severe skin infections, hair loss, and demodex mange. We are shorthaired black cats. Rudy has one very long white whisker, and I don`t. Although we have both had TLC to help us gain weight and deal with our itchy skin, Rudy had nearly naked patches on his legs and back. As for me, Fatboy, my coat has come in nicely. When we moved to the HSHC, we were very stressed and nervous and had difficulty adjusting to the new place. We lived in a Roaming Room for a while, which was a significant improvement. But since no one was asking to see us, we went to a foster home for a break. It took us a few days to adjust to this new environment (mainly Rudy, who would stay inside a hut and hiss at me whenever I got near him). However, after the first few days, we grew comfortable and settled back into our usual selves. Our foster dad gave the interviewer the following report card. •They both have had perfect litter box etiquette with zero accidents. Fatboy doesn`t squat to pee, so I use a large plastic storage bin with an entryway cut out. He always pees against the back wall of the bin (opposite of the entrance) so the pee always stays inside. I wipe down the inside walls and lid daily when scooping the litter. •They`ve been sharing one litter box. I initially placed three in different rooms, but they would only use one, so I eventually removed the other two. •They are inseparable best friends and like to be close, but they don`t cuddle. And occasionally they tussle (as brothers do)!•Rudy loves to cuddle with me. Fatboy rarely does, but every once in a while, he`ll lie on top of me. •They both love chilling in their window beds, sunbathing, and bird-watching.•Though they spend much of their days lounging around, they still love to play with chase toys and their favorite, the laser pointer.•They are both very friendly, outgoing, and excellent with human strangers. Fatboy may swat or lightly nip to let me know if he`s not in the mood for petting. I haven`t had them around children or other animals, so that is a mystery.•They both usually love being petted but

Story
FionaYou may recall my previous story regarding being surrendered to HSHC in October 2024, along with my siblings, because our owner was moving. We all had fleas and a nasty skin infection. Once I recovered from this, I was adopted in January `25 but surrendered again due to some tummy troubles. Since moving back to the shelter, I have lived in two different foster homes, which have been so good for my mental and physical health. My current foster mom (FM) reports that I am a quiet girl, and I prefer a quiet home. However, since I am 12-years-old, that is to be expected. Some of my favorite things in life are lying on a memory foam bed (so comforting!), being petted, combed, and brushed, and receiving belly rubs. When the brushing begins, I turn on the purrs! Sitting on a window seat or relaxing in a screened-in porch allows me to hone my naturalist skills. I`m obsessed with the chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, and birds I witness. Sometimes I play with toys by myself when I`m honestly bored. However, taking a nap is always a pleasant alternative activity. I`m a foodie for sure! I would spend my days eating (especially dry food) if it were allowed. When I`m hungry, I will rub against your legs and then walk over to my food dish to let you know it is empty. If I eat too fast, I might vomit, so a slow-down dish might be the ticket. I take my medications mixed in with wet food without complaints. Because I tend to put my paw into my bowl to swish the water before drinking, I require a heavy water bowl. I will spill the water if the bowl is too light. Hey, I`m just being honest! I have 100% successful litterbox skills, without fail. I have let grandkids pet me, but the minute they get loud, I`m outa there. I have two deal breakers before I sign my adoption contract. 1. I prefer to be the only pet in the household. The friendly cat in my foster home has tried several times to befriend me, and I always hiss and growl at him. My new family must do gradual introductions to any pets you already have. 2. I do not like to be picked up. That`s about it. I`m ready to meet you! 7-11-25
