Poppy is an extremely affectionate, 3 year old Calico kitty. I rescued her from a friend of a friend, and I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever met such a sweet cat in my life. She loves snuggles, treats, cat nip toys, and has been a great companion. I’ve struggled with the thought of rehoming her, but I know that she deserves someone who can give her the time and care she deserves. I ended up going back to school full time, and work nights at two jobs. I can see this has had an affect on her, and she genuinely deserves someone who either works from home or has more time for an attached kitty. I feel very lucky for my time with this sweet girl, but I know I’m making the right decision for the both of us. We adopted Ariel from the Indy humane society. She is a sweet and cuddly cat. She gets along with our 3 year old daughter. We need to re home her because she has not been getting along with our other cat. Both cats were adopted at the same time and generally get along well. Our other cat got outside and now Ariel is showing aggression towards him. We are working to address this by reintroducing to them, but progress has been slow. I hate to give her up, but if we are not able to reintroduce them, I want her to live in a home where she is comfortable and loved.

Millie is our kitty, she is very sweet but my older dog has really started to pick fights with her (not her fault) and she’s been having to stay in a room to prevent my dog from starting issues. I cannot continue to keep her in a room, that we will be needing to renovate I know she deserves a whole house to roam again and being able to be loved as much as possible! She is very cuddly and sweet, she still has some energy but after a little of playing she will lay down. She has never had issues going potty in her litter box! My husband and I did not want to make this decision but she deserves a FULL life, being able to roam and be happy! SHE does love dogs, cats and kids. Unfortunately my dog is just getting very temperamental with age:( We did reach out to the shelter we got her from last year, they are full.

Frieze is a beautiful calico cat who came to POMH with four young kittens. She was living outside and the kind lady had been feeding her contacted POMH when she carried one of her kittens to her door. Soon after that she found the other three kittens in her garage. Frieze has been in a foster home since the beginning of April has done a great job raising her kittens. She has warmed up nicely to her foster mom and her new surroundings. She enjoys having a covered place to rest and she seeks out pets and affection. She loves to to rub on her kittens, furniture or your legs! She enjoys having her ears rubbed and being brushed. Please meet Sunny! He was found on a very cold day in January 2023 covered in fleas and completely emaciated. He was so thankful for food in his belly and a warm place to sleep that he purred nonstop for days! He can get playful with the laser pointer, however, he is mostly over the kitten craziness. He loves to look outside in between naps and snacks. He does well with dogs and kids that respect his space. He has impeccable litter box skills. Sunny is so very loved at his foster home, but he is so very deserving of his forever home. Sunny is positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), which means he needs to be the only cat or live in a FeLV+ house only. Please contact us if you have questions about Feline Leukemia.
