Story
She was found with her 2 babies in the field behind my home. She is a sweet girl who is skid-dish at first but once you gain her trust, you will know. She loves to stretch out on me and snuggle her head in my neck. She hasn’t been around cats that aren’t her babies, take that into consideration. She uses the litter box no problem, as long as it’s clean.

Story
🌾🤎 Meet Dupree 🤎🌾4 months old | Male | Brown Tabby | Littermate to CheriseDupree is a thoughtful little tabby with a tender heart and a quiet curiosity about the world.Like his sister Cherise, he came to us as part of a litter and was unsure of all the new sights and sounds at first. Big changes can feel overwhelming when you’re just a few months old. But with patience, consistency, and the loving guidance of one of our wonderful volunteers, Dupree has been steadily building confidence. Now we’re seeing his personality shine through. He’s observant. He watches before he leaps. He takes his time deciding who to trust — but once you’re in his circle, you’ll see the sweetest side of him. He’s learning that hands bring comfort, not fear, and that affection is something he can lean into.Dupree would thrive in a home that understands that the best bonds are built slowly. He doesn’t need to be the loudest kitten in the room — he just needs someone willing to meet him where he is.He is:🤎 Neutered🤎 Up to date on vaccines🤎 Litter box trained🤎 Growing braver every dayIf you’re looking for a gentle soul who will reward patience with deep loyalty, Dupree may be your guy. Sometimes the quiet ones end up stealing the whole show.Come meet him and see for yourself. 🌹An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $200.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice.Cats and kittens are minimum donation $50.00

Story
Hi… I’m Ferb. And if you know anything about Ferb, you probably know I’m more of the quiet type.I’m a little guy who’s still figuring out this whole “people are actually really nice” thing. I’m super shy, so I might not run right up to you at first. I tend to hang back, watch what’s going on, and make sure everything seems safe before I join the party. But here’s my secret: I’m learning that attention is actually pretty great.Every day I get a little braver. Pets are starting to feel really nice, and sometimes I even lean into them once I realize nothing scary is happening. It’s all still new to me, but I’m working on it.I just need a patient human who understands that some of us take the slow and steady route to becoming cuddle bugs. Give me a little time, a calm home, and lots of gentle love, and you’ll get to watch my confidence grow.It might take me a bit to say hello… but once I do, I promise it’ll be worth the wait.— Ferb 🐾An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt.
