Story
Meet Leona! Leona is a 5 month kitten participating in our Adopt From Home program. Here is what her owner has to say about her!`Leona was found in a pasture when she was about 4 weeks old, and wasadopted by a feral momma cat we named Jodie [Foster] who we fosteredwhile she had and raised her own kittens. Named after Leon Livingston, afamous hobo dubbed the “King of the Hoboes,” Like any good hobo, Leonaembraced her early life of travelling, but she came to admire the allure offree food, soft laps, and attention from humans. She is now about 5months old and ready to find a forever home. She can be a little shy at first, but is very outgoing and personable after a warming period.Favorite things:• Snuggles and having her silky fur petted• Lounging in laps• Snacks, canned food, and treats (especially turkey and cheese!)• Playing with toys and hoodie strings• Helping at work (typing gibberish and watching the computer cursor),although she has learned not to get on the desk• Sharing the bed at nightDespite her scrappy beginnings, Leona is surprisingly docile and is has notshown any aggression to other cats, and will share her canned-foodbreakfast with our other cats. She can be extra eager with treats and has tobe reminded to be patience and mind her manners, and can be found onthe kitchen counters even though she knows better.Raised with a large, geriatric dog, Leona accepts a dog presence but willhide if the dog is too spunky. She is better suited for quieter household, butolder kids would probably be fine, especially if she has a quiet hiding placeto relax. She truly just wants to be with her person all day and all night, andloves to sit in a lap while watching TV or behind you on your office chairwhile you’re working. Leona is litter-box trained (Litter Robot) and is reliable and sweet!`Leona is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home today! To meet Leona please reach out to her owner Pam at hess2589@gmail.com.
