Story
SALLY and LUCY Sally and Lucy are calico sisters, about 9-1/2 months old at this posting. They are seeking a loving, devoted home which they can completely rule and dominate, with people who will be their total servants and vassals and who will spoil them completely in the way they have become accustomed to. They are spayed (December 2023), fully vetted through their kittenhood, up-to-date on shots including Rabies, FVRCP and FeLV, and extremely healthy and active. They MUST go together as a pair, as they are totally bonded- they play, chase, wrestle, cuddle and sleep together constantly. They also (we are convinced) collaborate on effective schemes to steal human food at every possible opportunity- they’re particularly fond of chicken and bacon. SALLY is a classic calico, multicolored in black, orange and white- her markings are beautiful and unique, like she was assembled late on a Friday when few matching parts remained in stock. She has long legs (rear slightly longer than front, for speed) and a very long tail, a gorgeous face and eyes, and has soft short fur. She is a cuddler, loves to sit on laps and purr and nuzzle and be loved. LUCY is a dilute calico; her colors are blue/grey, peach and white rather than Sally’s black, orange and white. Like Sally, her markings are unique and beautiful. Lucy has the long tail and long legs, but even softer fur than Sally. Lucy loves her pets but is more likely to pick her own times to cuddle; she’s more likely to curl up next to you or come look you in the eye than get in your lap. And when plots are being hatched to steal human food, our observation is that Lucy is the brains of the outfit, the planner, while Sally is the executor of the plans- Sally is faster and sneakier! But both are VERY food-motivated for sure! These two need a VERY loving, attentive forever home to go to and totally rule- they would be ideal for younger families - they seem to get along OK with other cats and with some dogs, but truly prefer each others’ company above any other animals- and they have PLENTY of love and affection to share with their humans! They’re VERY sweet sociable kittens and would be EXCELLENT pets - they already are! Only two rules about their adoptors: (1) They MUST be willing to spoil them and love them and take excellent care of them as INSIDE cats, including annual veterinary care, and we’d prefer to be kept in the loop with pictures and stories- we’ve become hopelessly fond of them ourselves- and (2) If, for any reason whatever, you decide you can’t keep them or wish not to keep them, they MUST be returned to US- not just turned in to a shelter or rescue- no explanation needed, but WE want them back rather than see them take their chances out there- no matter if it’s twenty years from now!

Story
Hey, my name is Callie, and I'm a tabico (calico with tabby striping). I'm 5 years old and I don't know why my previous family gave me and my brothers up to the shelter. I don't like it here, but I am trying to keep positive--it helps that I have my brothers, Skoodle and Fluffy, with me. We would really like to get a home together, or even just two of us going together, but if we have to each go to different homes, we'll be okay. I do like to get pet, and if you come see me in the shelter, just take some time to pet me and talk to me, and I will probably start purring after a few minutes. I might even make biscuits! I can be a really loving girl, I just need to feel safe in a furever home that will really be furever.   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.   Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.June 29, 2024, 1:54 am

Story
My name is Mazy! How are you doin'? I'm a tabico (tortoiseshell calico) who is about a year old. Now, let me tell you, one of life's greatest pleasures is curling up into a cozy box, so if you adopt me, I'm going to need a regular supply of boxes. I'm not super picky, I just need one that fits so I can sits. Another great pleasure of life is a good stretch, and as you can see in one of my photos, I'm an expert at that. I'm a good girl who likes pets and will definitely come to you for attention.   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Artie is about 2 years old, we adopted her from a shelter. She is super sweet and she loves attention. She is very affectionate. She even likes tummy rubs. She is great with kids. She has been around other cats and just wants to play with them. She has never been around dogs. Her favorite thing is when someone sits down on the couch and puts a blanket over their legs, she jumps up on your lap, makes biscuits, then lays down and falls asleep on you as you pet her. We are moving and unfortunately we can't take her with us.

Story
Cassie(Cassandra) is a sweet yet feisty young cat. She is about 9 months old and was about 6-8 weeks when we took her and her sister in from a hoarding situation. While her sister adjusted quickly Cassie unfortunately did not. Though she knows how to use a litter box, often times she will instead find the nearest soft surface and use the bathroom there (I.e. couch, rugs, toys, mattresses, etc.). The situation has become so bad for her(completely isolated)and for all involved that it’s become a health problem for our young son. She is a bit of an anxious ball of energy and is on meds for it but she is the gentlest player I have ever encountered. After watching her grow up over the last few months I believe she will be much happier if it was a single cat home. She demands love and attention and often carries around her favorite mouse. Please, I hope someone will be willing to give this little girl a chance. We will miss her but I know this will is the right choice for her

Story
Honey has spent a lot of time taking care of others, we are hoping to find someone to take care of her.   Honey had a litter of two that she doted on every day. After having them, her foster family took in two additional kittens they didn't believe would make it - and so did she. Now all 4 of her babies are happy, healthy, and with their new families. All thanks to her! Honey would be great in a quiet home or as an indoor/outdoor cat. She likes love and affection but on her terms. Honey is not a lap cat but she will sit next to you for ear rubs and a brush.  ##1382801##

Story
Allow me to introduce Cheeto, a resilient feline with a heart as big as his journey. Despite a rocky beginning, he embodies the spirit of perseverance and resilience that defines his character. Abandoned and left to fend for himself, Cheeto was discovered covered in oil, a symbol of neglect and abandonment. Fortunately, a compassionate neighbor intervened, bringing him into the care of his foster mom, who became his guiding light on the path to recovery. Cheeto's capacity for love knows no bounds, and he thrives on the warmth of human affection. A gentle soul, he finds solace in the simple pleasures of life, content to observe the world from his vantage point. Whether basking in the sun or curling up in a cozy corner, he embraces each moment with quiet grace. While he enjoys the company of other cats and finds joy in playful interactions, Cheeto is equally content in his own company. His adaptable nature allows him to find happiness wherever he goes, grateful for the love and care he receives each day. Despite his remarkable resilience, Cheeto does have some special needs that require attention. A heart condition necessitates medication twice daily, a small price to pay for the boundless love he offers in return. Fortunately, Georgia Heartland generously supports his medical care, ensuring that his needs are met without placing a burden on his future family. In addition to his medication regimen, Cheeto follows a special diet that consists exclusively of dry food, catering to his unique dietary requirements. While he may have had some challenges in the past, including a propensity for spraying, Cheeto has made tremendous strides in his journey toward healing and relaxation. As Cheeto eagerly awaits his second chance at a loving family, his foster parents stand ready to share insights into his gentle nature and remarkable resilience. With a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to be dimmed, Cheeto is poised to bring joy and companionship to his forever home, enriching the lives of those fortunate enough to welcome him into their hearts. ##990677##
