She was recently (late July) found limping, and based on a vet visit she had a hair line fracture of her pelvis!  That was it!  We took her off the street and into our program! She is now fully healed and ready for her final home!! So sweet, so calm and just rested until healed.  She is a delight!   She is FIV positive as we just found out.  But she is healthy and will remain healthy if kept in side with reasonable care and food.  NOTE: For this sweet cat, the Rescue will GUARANTEE her health for anyone adopting indefinitely, we will pay any vet bills (don't expect much), and will also have her teeth cleaned when recommended! Callie is being rehomed due to my widowed elderly father moving into an assisted living facility. He is unable to properly care for her on a daily basis. When Callie was taken in by my mom, she was already declawed and spayed. She is a very sweet kitty and loves to cuddle. We refer to her as a lap cat. We are not sure how old she is, but our best guess is 9-10 years old. She was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and requires a medication in her ear 2 times per day. There has been occasional (once every few weeks) potty issues outside the litter box, which is likely linked to the hyperthyroidism. Unfortunately, one of the main issues is that my dad cannot remember to give her the medicine each day so we have been unable to determine the cause. We have a crate, medication, and pheromone collars to send with her. Callie has not been around dogs, so we are not sure how she would react. She gets along fine with an outdoor cat that comes in during cold weather.

Oliver is a good girl. Shes really playful and I mean very playful. Shes a good kid at heart and shes real lovable. Shes super funny too. I got her when she was a kitten. She was born under our shed. Shes about 3 years old. She doesnt require much except for attention and love.

Birdie, a beautiful orange tabico, joined our family in May 2023 after our beloved kitty of 15 years passed away. Our house has two kids 5 &7 years old. Favorite things are lasers, feather toys, and anything she can hunt like cicadas, lizards and squirrels. We love Birdie but behaviorally she is no longer compatible with our kids. She is either sweet and cuddly or in an aggressive mood. Birdie loves to snuggle with me and allows me to give her pets; however, she can snip or get scared after she’s been relaxed and snoozing in my lap too long. She can also jump at me. Birdie wants to be in the middle of the action even when we are all playing outside; however, she does not want the kids to touch her often. Her favorite place to sleep is my daughters bed but I can no longer allow her to do so. Based on Birdie’s personality, she would likely thrive in a home with a female owner, no young children, and plenty of opportunities for hunting. We love her and we hope she can find another loving

Hi, I’m Lokey!I’m a gentle, laid-back guy who’s just starting to come out of my shell. At heart, I’m a total couch potato. I love lounging in sunny spots during the day and curling up in a cozy lap in the evening. I’m not quite sure about being picked up yet, and I get a little nervous when there’s a lot of movement around me, but with time and patience, I’ve been learning that people can be pretty great!I have the softest fur around my neck (everyone says so!) and I especially enjoy gentle scratches and pets in the morning. I live with my sister, Jazzy. I like being around her, even though she sometimes gets a little feisty with me. I haven’t met other animals yet, but I think I’d do best in a calm home with another friendly cat who understands that I need a little space at first.Because I’m still learning to feel confident, I take gabapentin to help me relax as I adjust to new things. My perfect family would be patient, understanding, and happy to let me take things at my own pace.
